I always thought coding was super hard and boring, and I could not contemplate ever learning this skill. How wrong was I? With the right teacher and resources it is definitely not only do-able, but FUN! Matt is a fantastic teacher, and with his clear and concise explanations learning to code is an achievable goal. Being able to not only watch, but then do really makes the whole learning experience amazing. I can't wait to start the SheCodes + workshop. I love being able to see what I code, transform into a beautiful website. Being able to see visually the result of a change really enables my brain to learn through trial and error. Love it, cannot rate this workshop highly enough. Bring it on!

I only started coding a month ago when I took the SheCodes intro course. SheCodes Plus was more challenging and rewarding. I am surprised at how quickly was able to learn this new skill. Matt's videos were very helpful and easy to understand. Whenever I hit a bump in the road there was a great community of support to help along the way. By the end of the course, you create a functional weather app using live data.
Highly recommend! I learned so much and never felt alone when I needed help. These workshops help you realize that coding was never as intimidating as one would think. Great program and great instructors!
I came into SheCodes with prior self-taught knowledge, but I gained a lot of confidence in my skills! There's so much more to learn after this, but SheCodes Workshop provides a great foundation and the short video lectures are great. Matt casually exposes you to information that I didn't learn from other classes and the lessons are short and sweet so you don't get bored!
I'm sad that my SheCodes adventure comes to end and I will certainly miss the concept. You can work at your own pace, the videos of Matt are clear and JoΓ£o is a true life-saver on Slack. React was very challenging, but fun to learn! No regrets whatsoever. This tastes like more! Excited to see what the future will bring ...

SheCodes React is a great way to learn and test your skills in React Development. Both challenging and fun, it's very rewarding to build your own project step by step. Matt is a great teacher with video lessons that are very clear and that keep you interested and engaged through all the process. The weekly assignment's deadlines are great to keep you in line! Overall I would recommend this to anyone taking their first steps in React Development.
A great way to learn coding! Matt goes through every step and even has a review at the end which helps clear up a lot of confusion. When I ran into problems, JoΓ£o was very responsive on Slack to help me when I didn't understand something. Worth the time and cost!

I came into the workshop with some HTML knowledge. Matt's lessons were beginner-friendly and fun to learn from. The volunteers in Slack helped me solve my problems and showed how to backtrack future issues. I would recommend this course for anyone thinking about the basics of Coding or needing a refresher.
Great content and step by step lessons. I would recommend this course for total beginners that have never stepped into coding as it covers the basics only. I wished it covered a bit more of the advanced CSS and HTML features. Overall satisfied as I still learnt a lot and the exercises were well done!

I really enjoyed learning to code and found the slack app very helpful to look up problems I come across and have already been answered by other users. I liked that after every lesson we then had to put this into practice which is how I learn best.

Some people might tell you "you can learn on youtube" but, believe me, you will end up feeling frustrated. Imagine these workshops as if they were called "Programming for dummies". The SheCode 3 week workshop was really easy to follow. I like that Matt doesn't spell each and every thing out for you, rather the lessons allow you to learn on your own and interact with the community on Slack and other helpful sites. I'm excited to start the next workshop!

What a journey! Matt took us to the world of React and showed us a few of the miracles we can code within it. This was such an amazing experience! I'm not just saying that either, I started off being excited about learning how to code and it ended on such a high note that I what to continue the experience and learn more. It gets frustrating when you can't figure out what's wrong with your code but there's such a strong and healthy supportive community to guide you, and when you finally fix the bug then its the best feeling. I really want to encourage everyone to at least try it out, it truly is an awesome experience.

I started other coding courses before, but SheCodes is the only one that I actually finished! I knew a bit about HTML and CSS, but SheCodes actually taught me how to use them to create something! This workshop has taken me from a complete beginner, with no coding experience to being able to code my own landing page (with JavaScript enabled user interactivity). All in the space of 3 weeks! I've always been curious about learning coding. During my summer holidays, I decided to give the first step and enroll in a SheCodes workshop. It was a great experience! The course is very well-organized and the challenges of each lesson make it fun and easy to follow, as we immediately put in practice what we've just learned. I can't wait to learn more!
When I first saw some examples of the end project for sheCodes plus I didn't think I'd ever be able to make something that sophisticated. But by about week 6 I had become so obsessed with improving my app that I ended up making something even more sophisticated than the requirements for the course and I'm so proud of it. I really feel like the course is really good for encouraging you to stretch yourself and learn code for yourself. I wouldn't have been able to fix some of my bugs without JoΓ£o from the slack support chat so shout out to him as well.
This was a great introduction to the world of coding and where to start for the most part. I will be back to complete the react course and I'm excited to learn more and more about the world of code and what I'll be able to do in the future.

As someone with no previous contact with code, learning with SheCodes is almost easy. It's still complicated but you have support if you need , the lessons are short and well explained. Excited to start the React course.

I highly recommend SheCodes to anyone who wants to learn how to code. The basic workshop was a lot of fun! I learned a lot and I am now eager to learn more about coding. The lessons they designed were divided per topic and each topic had its own practice or "challenges". So you will learn coding step-by-step. It was rewarding to see the developments in the different challenges that I completed because they looked better than the ones before. I got to be creative in how I wanted the page to look and add interactions for anyone who viewed the page. I am very happy that I took the SheCodes workshop!
This class is fantastic! I have been wanting for quite a while to learn JavaScript and gain a better understanding of HTML and CSS to improve my content development skills, and this was the perfect class to challenge me to learn and put my new skills to the test. I've taken a couple of other less cost-effective HTML courses and things just didn't click the way they did when Matt broke everything down. Each lesson is short and easy to digest, and Matt is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about what he does (as are the rest of the SheCodes staff!). Highly recommended!

Amazing coding workshop! I am a Designer and a Luxury Marketer and I had always wanted to develop my coding skills to the next level, but I always postponed it because I thought it was very complicated and hard to understand until I got to learn from Matt! He explains in a very smooth and easy way for you to completely understand and his team is always there for your questions. This workshop is exactly what I was looking for, it gives you the ability to apply and create while you are learning and that is what helps you to make the most out of this course. I am now excited to continue with the next workshops to become a front- end developer.
The course makes it easy and interesting to learn how to code. I really liked the format with several short videos, each directed to a specific topic. This makes it much easier to keep focus, instead of being bored in a long and dull lecture. Nine very informative and interesting weeks are behind me doing the SheCodes Plus workshop. I really like it didn't take too much of my time but I still managed to learn a lot about software development and some of the basic principles. Would recommend to people who just want in insight into the industry, but don't really want to become developers.

As a 17-year-old finishing high school and aspires to become an engineer, this workshop helped open my mind and expand my knowledge to a world I never knew existed.
