I was always intrigued by the world of coding, but it looked so hard to learn. I took the free workshop kind of as a joke because I never thought I could learn such a complex language. But then once I saw how Matt taught, I realized I might be able to do it! I absolutely loved everything about how this course was taught. The step-by-step videos, the little tasks at the end of each topic, and the breakdown of coding was so helpful. I am so happy I took this course, and I can proudly say I learnt a new skill. :) Thanks SheCodes!
SheCodes was an excellent introduction to coding. Each week and lesson was structured in an understandable and engaging way. I, personally, enjoyed the homework tasks as it kept you motivated and committed to learning more!! I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to begin their coding journey!
I absolutely enjoyed doing the SheCodes Plus workshop. I learn so much in 8 weeks. I know there is still more to explore but the fact that I was able build a functioning weather app and learning about how to use an API, I just want to start coding more and continue learning.
Never in a million years did I think I would be able to grasp what coding was about but thanks to this course I did just that. Matt's way of teaching is absolutely amazing and the lessons and challenges make it so easy to learn! I am so grateful for this course and opportunity to learn something I always thought was extremely complex!

This was the perfect next step after SheCodes Plus, I feel like I expanded my knowledge and was able to get more comfortable with coding in general in addition to experiencing a great introduction to React. Overall the structure of the class is really easy to follow, the videos are just long enough to show the concepts but not so long as to be overwhelming and Matt is great at explaining things in a comprehensive and accessible way. I can't wait to learn even more and I hope to be able to break into a tech career soon using the knowledge I gained from all my SheCodes classes!

With SheCodes Plus, the coding finally gets real! You build your first complex project, which is super satisfying. I never thought I would of been able to code ! Lessons are short but complete so you don't feel overwhelmed, and Matt's explanations are very clear ! Rebecca Temerario worked for 12 years in the bookselling and publishing industry as a communications, events, social media, and marketing manager. When COVID-19 hit, her position was unfortunately eliminated. As a graduate of a Master's Degree in Integrated Marketing Communications, Rebecca knew how integral HTML & CSS are to digital marketing concepts such as SEO- and wanted to use her time between opportunities wisely. Learning to code through SheCodes allowed Rebecca to add another tool to her marketing toolbox. After completing the 3 week introductory course with SheCodes, I couldn't wait to carry on coding with SheCodes Plus. I have decided that in 2020 I was going to learn everything I've always wanted. Coding was one of those things. I started with a free course, but it was very complicated and fast, so I gave it up. Browsing through internet, I came across SheCodes and watched the free class. By the end of it I was enrolled in the workshop and started it a few days later. It was the best decision ever. Matt is a great instructor, very available and the course is well thought, it is not difficult and you can really learn and apply it. I can't wait to start the next workshop!

SheCodes is a school with good pedagogy, the courses are well structured and explained. There is a lot of practice such as homework and projects. There are good communication and atmosphere between teachers and classmates. I recommend this coding school if you want to learn well how to code or if you want to deepen your knowledge.
This three week journey has been a great way to introduce myself to coding and coding to myself. I have enjoyed every step of the way, for me it was not easy but it was fun, educational and rewarding. I feel eager to learn more, my mantra became eat, pray, code... ;-)
This SheCodes Beginner workshop was great!!! I liked that it was self-paced so I learned at my own pace/time but that motivated me to stay on top of the lessons weekly. The challenges at the end of the lessons were a good way to put into practice what Matt taught. Overall, I think this workshop is a great place to start and it's definitely peaked my interest in coding. I'm really happy & proud of the page I put together for my final project.
I always found coding interesting but intimidating - SheCodes showed me that only one of those things is true! I enjoyed how Matt broke down the lessons into easily understandable pieces that built upon each other. I highly recommend this course if you're at all interested in learning how to code!
SheCodes was a fun and creative experience! Coming from a humanities background I was unsure how well I would be able to understand the coding concepts. The workshop and homework assignments, however, were interesting and manageable with my full time job. This workshop is amazing! The learning structure is very easy to follow with very well paced video tutorials that explain everything step by step and challenges that make you replicate the tutorials to really instill the knowledge in you. Support is there 24/7 if you need it and the coding is taught in a really fun way, I would definitely recommend to anyone, you don't even need that much time set aside for it.

SheCodes demystified coding for me and made learning a fun experience!
I like the compact format of teaching basic HTML, CSS and JS concepts in only 3 weeks. It's barely scratching the surface of what you can do with coding, but the diverse challenges after each lesson make it seem like you are learning a lot in a short time.
This course has been extremely helpful in expanding my knowledge into the world of coding. The delivery of the classes is short and sweet and allows you to absorb the information at a bite sized level and put into practice what you've learned straight away. My background is in Psychology, project management and psychometric tests and I've always been interested in technology, especially with everything going digital in our current climate. I thought I'd give SheCodes a go, as I've tried other free courses on other sites but it wasn't as interactive and I couldn't get help when I needed. With SheCodes, everything is at your own pace as the videos are bite-sized and you can go back if you need to. However, the homework keeps you accountable. I enjoyed doing the challenges as I prefer learning by doing. The staff and fellow students are really friendly and helpful if you are stuck. Coding might seem scary at first, but it really isn't! If you've been thinking about learning to code, go for this course, it's a great way to learn and build your skillset!

Have to say it's a tough course, sometimes frustrating.. But there are results. Matt explains demonstrate everything in a coherent way. The slack team is very helpful and wasn't left alone. I can't wait to go to the next step and learn the React framework.
The SheCodes Workshop is from beginning to end an amazing learning experience (and I'm just speaking about the introductory course... advanced ones shall be even more incredible!). I've learned and done things that I would have never imagined I could, and find out that I can cultivate skills which seemed complete outside of my comfort zone (or career). The program was pretty basic. I was hoping to see more from CSS materials or have more recommend sources to learn from. Also, the arrangement or grid view of the page needed to be emphasized and went deeper than just gave out the code for padding and margin.
Matt is a great instructor that is able to deliver his teaching materials and contents in bite-sized learning. It leaves us wanting to learn more and I would recommend anyone interested to learn coding (even with zero background) to join SheCodes workshops.
I thoroughly enjoyed the last 3 weeks! The lessons were the perfect length and I managed to learn a lot even when working full-time. Excited to start the next lot of workshops!

This first workshop at SheCodes has been an amazing experience. I have always been interested in coding and as a marketing professional I work very closely with web designers, app developers, and programmers but never completely immersed in their departments. Naturally, in marketing you learn a lot of CSS and HTML but it was never enough. The SheCodes classes have filled the holes in my knowledge and helped me make sense of the work I have been doing allowing me to be a better and more innovative marketing designer.
