This course has been amazing. As part of a web development team, I have tried to teach myself to code many times and have never proceeded past the basics. I have learnt so much in this course and now feel I can have meaningful conversations with my developers.

Thanks to this workshop, I learned about web development and how to apply it in real life. I had learned a bit about coding before this workshop, but I have to admit I had so much fun learning here on SheCodes. I especially liked the self-paced timing for the lessons, and the fact that after every lesson there was a challenge, which made learning easier. This was a new experience for me which turned out to be very interesting and fun to learn. Future generations will be very technological so I figured since almost everything is on the internet, learning to code might be very useful in the future.

The Front-End Development workshop is so useful and gets you stuck in learning all about API's and Javascript. All the lessons have a perfect balance of learning a new skill with a practical element...you learn by doing! I can't wait to progress onto my final SheCodes workshop.

It is a perfect time to pick up a new skill during the pandemic. And it was really a good start for everyone who is interested to learn how to code.
Learning to code at SheCodes was so very exciting. Understanding the basics of CSS, HTML and Javascript and then actually making use of them during the final project has been such a motivating and fun experience. Learning about something I knew absolutely nothing about has been very empowering and I given me the confidence to continue learning!
I can't believe I have finished already! Learning to code at SheCodes was such an amazing ride. It is kinda crazy to see this creative project be born from all the hard work and time that you put into developing it. The thing that I liked about the React course specifically is that it is constantly challenging you and your knowledge. It can be frustrating and rewarding at the same time. Matt, you have an amazing team João has always been a great source of knowledge and is so patient and kind. Lexi has also been great by responding quickly and checking in to see how things are going. I highly recommend these workshops to everyone. I'm a little sad the learning here has come to an end.

I was always intrigued by the world of coding, but it looked so hard to learn. I took the free workshop kind of as a joke because I never thought I could learn such a complex language. But then once I saw how Matt taught, I realized I might be able to do it! I absolutely loved everything about how this course was taught. The step-by-step videos, the little tasks at the end of each topic, and the breakdown of coding was so helpful. SheCodes was an excellent introduction to coding. Each week and lesson was structured in an understandable and engaging way. I absolutely enjoyed doing the SheCodes Plus workshop. I learn so much in 8 weeks. I know there is still more to explore but the fact that I was able build a functioning weather app and learning about how to use an API, I just want to start coding more and continue learning.
Never in a million years did I think I would be able to grasp what coding was about but thanks to this course I did just that. Matt's way of teaching is absolutely amazing and the lessons and challenges make it so easy to learn! This was the perfect next step after SheCodes Plus, I feel like I expanded my knowledge and was able to get more comfortable with coding in general in addition to experiencing a great introduction to React. Overall the structure of the class is really easy to follow, the videos are just long enough to show the concepts but not so long as to be overwhelming and Matt is great at explaining things in a comprehensive and accessible way. I can't wait to learn even more and I hope to be able to break into a tech career soon using the knowledge I gained from all my SheCodes classes!

The lessons broke everything down so well and every lesson from the beginning was applied in a challenge so that you could practice at every point. You learn something every step of the way. With SheCodes Plus, the coding finally gets real! You build your first complex project, which is super satisfying. I won't lie; there are also frustrating moments––but Matt's step-by-step explanations and João's constant support really help to keep the frustration at bay. I learned a lot and can't wait to start with React!

Rebecca Temerario worked for 12 years in the bookselling and publishing industry as a communications, events, social media, and marketing manager. When COVID-19 hit, her position was unfortunately eliminated. As a graduate of a Master's Degree in Integrated Marketing Communications, Rebecca knew how integral HTML & CSS are to digital marketing concepts such as SEO- and wanted to use her time between opportunities wisely. After completing the 3 week introductory course with SheCodes, I couldn't wait to carry on coding with SheCodes Plus. In SheCodes plus I began to realise the power of what a few lines of code can really do in JavaScript! It is a jump up from the introductory course for sure, but as always the support is amazing. I have decided that in 2020 I was going to learn everything I've always wanted. Coding was one of those things. I started with a free course, but it was very complicated and fast, so I gave it up. Browsing through internet, I came across SheCodes and watched the free class. By the end of it I was enrolled in the workshop and started it a few days later. It was the best decision ever. Matt is a great instructor, very available and the course is well thought, it is not difficult and you can really learn and apply it. I can't wait to start the next workshop!

SheCodes is a school with good pedagogy, the courses are well structured and explained. There is a lot of practice such as homework and projects. There are good communication and atmosphere between teachers and classmates. I recommend this coding school if you want to learn well how to code or if you want to deepen your knowledge.
This three week journey has been a great way to introduce myself to coding and coding to myself. I have enjoyed every step of the way, for me it was not easy but it was fun, educational and rewarding. I feel eager to learn more, my mantra became eat, pray, code... ;-)
This SheCodes Beginner workshop was great!!! I liked that it was self-paced so I learned at my own pace/time but that motivated me to stay on top of the lessons weekly. The challenges at the end of the lessons were a good way to put into practice what Matt taught. Overall, I think this workshop is a great place to start and it's definitely peaked my interest in coding. I'm really happy & proud of the page I put together for my final project.
I always found coding interesting but intimidating - SheCodes showed me that only one of those things is true! I enjoyed how Matt broke down the lessons into easily understandable pieces that built upon each other. I highly recommend this course if you're at all interested in learning how to code!
SheCodes was a fun and creative experience! Coming from a humanities background I was unsure how well I would be able to understand the coding concepts. The workshop and homework assignments, however, were interesting and manageable with my full time job. This workshop is amazing! The learning structure is very easy to follow with very well paced video tutorials that explain everything step by step and challenges that make you replicate the tutorials to really instill the knowledge in you. Support is there 24/7 if you need it and the coding is taught in a really fun way, I would definitely recommend to anyone, you don't even need that much time set aside for it.

I like the compact format of teaching basic HTML, CSS and JS concepts in only 3 weeks. It's barely scratching the surface of what you can do with coding, but the diverse challenges after each lesson make it seem like you are learning a lot in a short time.
This course has been extremely helpful in expanding my knowledge into the world of coding. The delivery of the classes is short and sweet and allows you to absorb the information at a bite sized level and put into practice what you've learned straight away.
