This was a lot of fun and very interactive. I completed my undergrad and graduate studies in a completely different field (Migration Studies) and I am a professional photographer so coding is a very new field for me. I've tried a few coding courses and they've all been very difficult but this was broken down in a way that was easy to grasp and put into practice. I'm super excited to continue on for the next 9 weeks and I'm glad I chose SheCodes as a way for me to learn coding!

Who would've thought that in 2021 I would take up knitting AND coding? I've learned so much in the past few weeks and the workshop really helped demystify coding for me. I always thought coding was hard, and even though I always wanted to learn it, I did not know where to start. Thank you SheCodes!!! This course starts at beginner level but after a few weeks, you are well equipped to code basic html, css and JavaScript! The instructions are thorough and gives you a lot of extra tips and tricks and the support and help are quick to respond.
It was a nice journey to learn React and build a project with all this components. it was difficult but with Matt's guidelines everyone can make it.
If you are considering signing up for this workshop, DO IT!! Seriously. I loved this workshop and it has been really really helpful for me. Matt's teaching style is really easy to follow and if there's any part that isn't quite clear, the staff are ready to help. I also learnt a thing or two from the group chats with other students. It's being so fun and I'm excited for what comes next!
I already knew some back end programming languages that I learned in university and other online courses, but at SheCodes I had by far the best learning experience. The autonomous learning contributed to increase my interest on the subject; it got me really motivated to know and practice more, and to work on my creativity!

Over the last 8 weeks I've continued this path of Web development with SheCodes. This is so important for me, because it can define the path I'm taking towards a digital career. I really enjoyed this workshop. The videos were very well done - explained everything and showed how it's done. As someone who needs to know WHY something is done the way it is then these videos made everything 'make sense' for me. I also really enjoyed the challenges after every subject. It's a great way to try out what you've just learned and put yourself up to the test - 'did I really get this?'. Would 100% recommend this to everyone. Now - onwards to SheCodes Plus! :)
I can't believe how much I've learned in only 3 weeks! Matt's instruction is easy to follow and the entire SheCodes' team has been so helpful throughout the Intro to Coding Workshop. I highly recommend taking the Intro to Coding Workshop, especially if you aren't sure if coding is for you. You will be amazed at how much you learn and how quickly you'll love coding. I can't wait to continue my coding journey with more SheCodes Workshops!

I've really enjoyed every week so far, and it feels like I've learnt a new language. The instructional videos are easy to understand and follow, and any time I have found something challenging, the response in the Slack chat is super quick.
The course was motivating and challenging. I found myself eager to learn more with every new video. I was a bit anxious with beginning the React course but it turned out to be very well-explained and easy to follow like the previous courses. I am happy with this course and grateful for all the knowledge I've gained through SheCodes.

Learning to code has not only opened new opportunities for my career, but it also allowed me to better understand how some businesses operate internally. Coding is something I've always wanted to learn to do but thought it was too complicated to learn. SheCodes is an amazing introduction to coding, and over the last few weeks I've learned so much about the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. If you are looking to learn all the technical portions and get lots of practice coding, testing, and recoding, then this course is for you! I've learned a lot, but I've also learned that coding is just not my cup of tea (love design, but really get frustrated with making sure it works). That being said it is a great course, a super helpful and supportive community, and lots of practice. Frustrating practice. Very frustrating at times.
I came into this not knowing anything about coding and I'm happy to say that I learned a lot and left with a solid foundation in it by the end. Requires concentration and dedication but it's worth it at the end.
I really enjoyed this workshop. Not only was it a lot of fun but I feel like I learned so many new things and it was easy to follow the course as a complete beginner. Matt explains everything really well and the community is very helpful. Due to the flexible schedule of the course it is no problem to follow it while working full time.
I've worked with HTML and CSS in the past, and this workshop was a nice review and good prep for additional coursework! I feel much more confident in my HTML/CSS skills, and it was helpful to dip my virtual toes into the water of JavaScript before learning about it in more depth.

Although I was apprehensive at first, the videos were straightforward and easy to follow with fun challenges along the way. Loved working through this workshop! Each lesson was organized and broken down nicely, making it possible to grasp concepts taught throughout the workshop. The homework assignments and project were great to implement what was learned in the course. Challenging, but definitely fun.

Learning react was definitely a challenge, but with the help from the SheCodes team I managed to build a working weather application.
There are so many coding classes now it was complicated to pick one. After checking the reviews, attending the 60min free class and also maybe listening a bit to my feminist side I enrolled to the 4months program. It has been 3 weeks now and I learnt so much already ! Courses are perfectly balanced between giving clear instructions, and letting you figure out part of the solution within the challenges ! Looking forward to the next workshop !

SheCodes is a great Kickstarter for everyone. A lot of people think that coding/programming is impossible to learn and enjoy at the same time, but I see it differently. I had fun and my project totally absorbed me! I am looking forward to the Plus workshop. :)
I loved learning HTML, CSS and JavaScript with SheCodes! Matt is an excellent teacher, and he made the lessons very engaging and beginner-friendly. I only wish we had more opportunities to practice and go deeper. I still feel that I learned a lot in a short time, and I had a lot of fun!

SheCodes has been a great adventure! My knowledge in programming was almost inexistent. Yet I was able to learn so much in programming in just three weeks. The setup of this platform is interesting and so well developed that learning coding is really enjoyable. I've found nothing more rewarding than to get stuck sometimes but to still manage to discover the problem and to solve it, especially with JavaScript. From the classes very well explained by Matthieu, the different challenges and homework that were given to us were very efficient. All this while being well advised and helped on slack. I can't wait to see what is next!

Perfect training to get started in HTML programming in a pragmatic and easy-to-learn format. I specially like the structure of the course, balance of exercises and the tips encouraging us to look for further options on internet and impulse a continuous and self-learner mindset.

I had nearly zero coding experience but was impressed with how much I learned in 3 weeks. I work a busy full time job but was able to fit everything in after work and on the weekends. It almost became like a video game trying to perfect my coding skills. I would highly recommend this course.

Doing a project was a great way to learn and start developing something concrete on my own. I enjoyed the process of struggling, getting stuck sometimes especially with Javascript, and then finding ways to resolve a problem. Loved learning about APIs and the ease of using tools like Netlify and Github.

Super fun and basic way to learn HTML, CSS, and javascript for the first time or to revisit after a few years! I had dabbled in them when I was younger and this was a great refresher and taught me some new techniques and tricks! I am now super excited to continue learning and trying new things with code!
I had a really fun time learning to code with shecodes. At times it was frustrating but the end result was great. I did the course with my sister and doing the course together was a great bonding time while being apart during the pandemic. I loved working on my final project and I feel happy with the end result.
I'm in love with SheCodes! Workshops are well-structured and easy to follow. Matt, the instructor, not only teaches how to code but also shares the best practices. Homework reinforces skills and information learned in each lesson. Overall, learning feels challenging and, at the same time, super exciting.

I definitely recommend this workshop for those who work better and are more motivated with deadlines. I learned a lot of different things and was able to build a weather app with React. If you are new to coding, this will be a good workshop and introduction. Also, there is always a live chat with other students that can help you if you ever get stuck.

Coding was always something blurry and confusing for me and I thought it was time to get more into it, to increase my knowledge and gain new skills. After watching the free coding session for Beginners from SheCodes, I've been directly hooked and decided to enroll right away to the beginner workshop. The video courses are clear, short but really detailled and easy to assimilate! In addition to that, the challenges are a real plus because they permit us to apply everything that has been brought up in each video and therefore, learning not only by watching but also by experimenting. I highly recommend SheCodes to anyone who doesn't know how to code and who thinks that it is not for them. SheCodes had the capacity to make coding fun and exciting!
I've thoroughly enjoyed my SheCodes experience, the lessons are broken down in a super thoughtful way that made it easy to absorb the information. I loved the camaraderie of helping and being helped by other Coders in the Slack groups each week. I originally took the course to give myself some basic dev knowledge for my role as Project Manager as I move from Creative to Digital, but find myself eager to learn more. The course was a good basic introduction to the topics. I highly enjoyed the fact that the course was planned in such an order that you don't lose motivation. A lot of visual tasks for which you can see your own impact and learning immediately. Also Matt is a good instructor and the team behind Shecodes is always available to support in Slack!

I was honestly a little nervous starting this workshop, but I was pleasantly surprised with how much I have learned. The lessons were easy to follow and although I got frustrated in the moment, I did enjoy the challenges because it was like solving a puzzle! This workshop really made me use my brain and I'm excited to enhance my new skills even further!

SheCodes workshop has been amazing start to finish. I can't believe that I have learned so much in so little time. This is definitely a great investment. It helped me stay focused, to push myself and to expand my knowledge. I went from knowing NOTHING about coding to feeling comfortable to make my first landing page.
