As a complete beginner, this was a great introduction to coding. I found the exercises well-organized with achievable objectives per lesson. Assistance from peers and moderators on the Slack site was incredibly helpful, and aided with my learning process. I thoroughly enjoyed the course overall, and also the fun project at the conclusion of the course to put my newfound skills to work. Thank you!

The past couple of weeks have been both challenging and exciting! I have absolutely loved what I have learned so far. Especially apply the concepts directly after a lesson. Responsive workshop is so much fun and it's more like solving a problem. It feels so great to build something by yourself (guidance from Matt) and your creativity is just flowing. Learning how to code has helped me understand better how everything works, I've been able to communicate better with people in my team who are programmers and engineers. I still have a long way to go, but I do believe this is the best way to learn I've found so far, even though sometimes it's not the easiest.

Amazing course to learn the basics of coding. It has been really funny and engaging.
Great for having some structure and deadlines to hold yourself to while you learn how to code. The amount of material is also very achievable to get through when you are limited on extra time to commit to learning (approx. 5 hours / week compared to 10+ hours with other programs). I also like the nice mix of bite size videos and exercises to get hands on practice with the concepts. Best way to start out my mornings learning new skills.
My coding journey over the course of the 4 workshops has been incredible. React definitely has a steep learning curve but once you've gotten a grasp of the concepts, it really empowers you to build cleaner, elegant projects. I've learned so much and while I still need to learn a lot more to have marketable skills, I'm confident in continuing my studies. Thank you Matt and SheCodes team for all your support!
It was a great introduction to see if coding was for me. It was easy enough to follow Matt's directions but with enough challenge to make you feel comfortable enough to find the solution yourself. Matt's videos are very instructive so we can easily follow them. The best part is I didn't even notice that I was working on the challenges and homework, because to me I was just having a lot of fun. I also loved the self-paced learning, which may be challenging at times but with discipline and passion, any dedicated student can do it.

I've always wanted to dabble in coding and the SheCodes Basics course was the perfect choice. The lessons were very well taught and the content was easy to digest. It was really challenging and full of learning course. I still hate JS but still hope to become friends with it someday ^^" My app crushed many times and I was like "why it is not working I'm doing as same as Matt!" but it became the real good lesson to searching and finding your own bugs, it's good! Anyway, it was funny and interesting and I never could to imagine myself building really working app! But I did it!

I really enjoyed this course! I appreciate that we are provided the lessons and resources but that the time frame is a lot more flexible so it was easy to fit in the learning around other work and home life. Coding was something I was curious about since I found about it. Although my studies field has been more sociology and world cultures related, I wanted to learn about coding to expand my skills and get more tools for my future projects.
I decided to change my career and it is the best decision I made. I found a new passion and I would love to continue learning. I recommend this course because it is very well explained and it is also flexible to do according to the different times available.

Hello :) This course is very nice. I learn a lot in the previous five weeks. For me the best part of this course is the final project - you get to build your own personal website during the last 2 weeks. That is awesome, because you get to build something to showcase your work, while you do a website all by yourself (of course with Matt's guidance). However, I wouldn't imagine building something so complex (at least for me ahah) a couple of weeks ago. I am super happy with the course because is giving me real tools and I had a lot of fun, at the same time! "Happy coding, everyone" :)

Great intro course. I was having trouble learning JavaScript on my own and after seeing all the positive reviews for SheCodes I decided to try it out. It def helped me grasp the JS portion a little better. Excited for the next workshop and continuing my coding journey!
SheCodes was great! I feel like I have a strong understanding of the foundational elements of coding. An excellent workshop! SheCodes taught me HTML, CSS and JavaScript in 3 weeks from scratch, and the instructor Mathieu produced very clear and easy to follow videos. The learning-by doing approach means that for each new skill learnt, I was able to practice with a challenge. Whenever I got stuck, there was always someone to help. Would recommend to everyone who wants to get ahead in tech :)
