It was really fun to learn how to write site what will be good looking on the mobile devices! It is really like a magic - you have this on the big screen, but dont have on the small screen, or it is changing on something else! I always thought only really profecional genius developers can do magic like this but now I can too even I'm not a profeccional genius developer. I can't believe it comes to an end. I enjoyed the journey a lot, I learned a lot more. I never imagined purely HTML and CSS to be this time consuming but SheCodes made the learning fun and I enjoyed it so much. Creating a website from scratch, let alone your own personal website, is as exciting as it is frustrating. Being both a designer and a developer is indeed hard, but I think this is my favorite workshop so far. I really learned a lot here since it's more hands-on than the first two. Can't wait for the next one!

I built an entire app! 7 weeks ago I couldn't say that and didn't have the slightest idea how. There is no way I could have achieved this through learning on my own and even if I had, it would be following some template instead of creating my own stylized version. I was looking for a bootcamp to relearn how to code from scratch when I came across SheCodes. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I picked up in just a few weeks in the SheCodes Basics workshop. The lessons are delivered in such a compact manner that you don't feel overwhelmed at all. This course has greatly renewed my interest in learning how to properly code, and I plan to enroll in additional workshops soon to further my skills.

I decided to apply for this workshop after graduate from school while waiting to get acceptance for my university... I've moved to Spain after marriage and I was looking for a job here but it was not so easy for me. I was very frustrated but then I noticed that I had to develop a set of skills which is in high demand and that was coding. I was very afraid of trying coding because I took a class many years ago and I was not so good at it and it did not interest me much. But since becoming a developer sounds like a good option to me while I have lots of free time, so I decided to give it a try. After taking a free introduction class, I had a feeling that I could also do this like many other girls. I had zero knowledge about coding (although I learned it many years ago, I did not remember anything), each lesson helped me greatly to understand concepts and especially each challenge/project and interacting on Slack tremendously helped me. Deciding to take SheCodes is one of the best decisions I've made this year and I'm really looking forward to taking other levels, getting one step closer to become a developer! If others can do it, why not me? All you need is this mentality! If I can do it, you can also do it!!

I've spent around six months learning HTML, CSS and Javascript using various platforms such as CodeAcademy, LinkedIn Learning, Pluralsight and YouTube to name a few. After attending the SheCodes free coding class, the material I learned really stuck!
