Even though I didn't learn many new things at this workshop that I hadn't learned at the first React workshop, it was very useful for consolidating my knowledge and practicing my newly acquired skills.
Learning to code and watching a website come to life with each keystroke is an amazing experienceβat least during those moments when it wasnβt frustrating, and I wasnβt stuck for hours trying to figure out what went wrong. I had already learned Python before starting this module, so it was a nice little practice for me, and I enjoyed the final project! I was introduced to a new Python library (RICH) and compared using Python vs. Javascript after focusing solely on JS for a while. Once again, Matt does a wonderful job of breaking the learning into easily digestible bites, which makes the learning feel easy while still challenging.
React is definitely challenging, especially when you're just starting out, but itβs an amazing framework that helps you learn a lot of important skills in front-end development. I recommend it to anyone looking to improve their coding abilities, but be preparedβit takes time, dedication, and a lot of patience to really get the hang of it.

SheCodes Responsive Add-On was by far the most challenging course Iβve taken, but also the most rewarding. I learned the true value of building responsive websites from scratch instead of relying on pre-designed templates like Bootstrap. This approach pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me gain a deeper understanding of web development fundamentals. Itβs an experience thatβs made me a more confident and capable coder!
I thought coding was difficult until I joined in SheCodes, they made the learning process to code easy and straight forward. They also have tools put into place to assist their students if they got stuck. What an exciting and yet a bit challenging the Plus-Add On workshop has been! I have now built "A world clock" using javaScript and it feels really good to have been able to use JS at an advanced level. It was a deep dive into the JS where my brain was challenged in a good way. I have learnt how to use moment js, timeZone, Select and much more. React can be challenging to learn, but itβs an excellent framework that teaches you a lot of valuable concepts and skills. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in front-end development, but keep in mind that it requires a lot of patience and persistence to fully grasp its features and best practices.
The classes are a great starting point to build confidence in using Python. I particularly enjoyed how the lessons were designed to gradually build understanding, starting with simple concepts like variables and conditionals, and then progressing to functions and loops. Looking forward to more advanced learning

I've enjoyed learning the basics of HTML, CSS and Javascript having previously done beginner courses elsewhere in data analytics. This feels a little more creative which I like. I enjoyed trying things out on the design side for the project and basing it on a chosen topic. I haven't yet decided whether to make it a career change but it's certainly given me food for thought.
Python Advanced Workshop was really intense and very engaging. I learnt about Object Oriented Programming to help design codes in a much more organized and scalable way. I also learnt more on how to manipulate files - read, write and extract data to make it presentable and easy for people to understand. I am also able to display data extracted using Python plots for better visualization. The most challenging yet rewarding for me in this workshop was learning advanced techniques on csv file manipulation and complex data structures in Python. I learnt how to play around with dictionaries, filtering and aggregating data. At the end of the workshop, I was able to build a project using real life csv file to create data visualization using Python. Thank you to Matt and the SheCodes team for this very engaging and knowledge-packed workshop.

Over the last two weeks, Iβve been working on an exciting project, building a World Clock application using moment.tz, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, hosted on Netlify and managed through GitHub. This project has been an incredible learning experience for me. After 2.5 months of working on and finishing two projects β a Weather App that provides real-time data and now the World Clock, I can confidently say that my understanding of coding and app development has improved significantly. With the World Clock project, I was able to integrate different time zones, show the current time in multiple cities, and even find my own location in real time. Thanks to SheCodes Plus, I now feel more confident in my coding abilities. The structured lessons and hands-on projects have given me a deeper understanding of how to build apps, troubleshoot issues, and what to look for when things aren't working as expected.
