This course has opened a window for me into a whole new world. I never thought I would enjoy anything related to computers, but thanks to Matt and the SheCodes Team I've learnt that coding can be creative and not impossible to understand at all!
It was a good learning curve. I am glad i can have a look at the classes again as after the course you have lifetime access. Which i am sure there is more i can learn from them video which i didn't pick up straight away. I would recommend this course. Matt goes over things step by step. Now i think will try the next course.
How amazing it is to learn new skills and have so much fun at the same time! Instructions were easy to follow, workshops were well structured and really learnt a lot by working on exercises after every topic.
It's an excellent course, very didactic! Primarily if the person has no prior knowledge of the topics. Even with prior knowledge of HTML and CSS, the course is worth doing due to tips and "hacks" that can streamline coding. I am a designer and mainly enrolled to learn more about javascript to help me better plan my projects and improve my communication with devs. After finishing my final project, I was very proud of what I have learned so far. The the course differential, for me, are the exercises! Because it intercalates with videos, which has the ideal time length, making the learning experience more dynamic.
I have had so much fun for the past 3 weeks with SheCodes Basics! I can't believe how much I have learned in just 3 weeks. I have been working as an IT Service Desk Analyst for 10 years and I was desperately looking for something better. I have been working closely with our development team for the past 2 years. At first, I was so intimidated sitting in their meetings because I didn't understand a thing and I thought you had to be some kind of genius to do that kind of work. Then slowly I began to understand what they were talking about and became familiar with some of the lingo. I started wondering if I could do it too. I tried two other learning programs online and became frustrated and felt defeated. Then I saw an advertisement on a YouTube video for SheCodes and decided to check it out. I'm so glad I did! After watching the free introductory class I knew this was it for me and it would change my life. I signed up for all of the workshops and I can't wait to start SheCodes Plus! The short video lessons are the perfect way for me to learn and I love the challenges, homework, and deadlines! I need structure to keep me on track. Matt is a wonderful teacher who explains things in the simplest terms and in a way that everyone can understand. Thank you, Matt and the SheCodes team! I am looking forward to the rest of my journey!
Learning how to code through the SheCodes program has been nothing short of engaging and more so because one gets to learn and work on challenges through a step by step process.
I am so proud I could design my own portfolio and learnt a lot about creating a simple website. I am already working on new projects for friends and family and will keep learning more.

I had a great time completing this next course on my coding journey. I love the fact that I can learn as fast as I want to and that there's always support. Getting new input on a regular base and putting it to test right aways is a great way to learn.

I loved learning with shecodes.io! The course is structured in a way that walks you through the materials step by step, by watching detailed videos and practice everything through milestones mini-projects, and a final big project.
This was the course I needed to finally learn the the basis of coding! Surprisingly accesible, encouraging and motivating!

I liked this workshop because it was very practical. I have worked with HTML for years, but everything I learned was through practice, not theory. However, this workshop helped me to understand better HTML and reinforce what I already knew.

The SheCodes Basic workshop was a great introduction into the world of coding for anyone who has no prior knowledge. In this workshop, I faced some frustrations with my coding. However, I was able to overcome these challenges with my fellow students and help from the mentors. I learned more about coding. In addition to this, I learned that sometimes it is best to take a break from hard challenges and begin again tomorrow.
SheCodes has allowed me to grow on knowledge of coding in a mere short 11 weeks. As a beginner, this was an amazing way for me to learn and grow on my skills with guided lessons and engaging challenges.

This is the third workshop I finished with SheCodes. It's crazy to see how much I am learning over time. To learn how to make a website responsive is so incredibly useful. I am very happy about having have chosen to do this workshop. It can sometimes be tricky to apply some techniques, but I also learned how to fix any issue and I am so happy about it. I feel like this class contributed a lot to my skills as a frontend-developer in training. Also I finally learned about SEO, which was enriching as well. I enjoyed the challenge of learning HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and more in 3 weeks! The pacing was easy to maintain with a full-time job due to the self-pacing nature of the course. Having real-time support was a plus and I am excited to continue my coding journey.
Loved the pacing especially while managing a full-time job! I don't think there's a better way to learn code than having to write your own per homework/project. Good experience and great real-time support from a real-world professional team!

This is a wonderful workshop that I can learn how to build a Weather forecast app from scratch by using HTML, CSS, API, Netlify.
As a UI UX designer it was great to learn the coding basics to understand how my designs could come to life. It also gives me the knowledge to create better development handover files when I work alongside developers. I didn't have any coding knowledge prior to this course. But this course is so well structured that it was easy to follow along even during a busy week at work. The lessons are bite sized but packed with information! I would happily recommend this to anyone looking to learn coding basics!

I decided to enroll in SheCodes React development workshop to improve my coding skills with React framework. Learning to build dynamic, responsive user interfaces (using API and React components) was quite challenging but I enjoyed every step of it. I recommend!

This workshop is great! Easy to follow with step by step instructions, making learning fun and challenging in a good way. I would really recommend it as I learned a lot in only a few weeks and it was a great addition to the other workshops I've done with Shecodes. Being able to create my own portfolio and making it responsive is really satisfying and the skills I learned will definitely be useful for future projects!

This course de-demystified coding and explained the applications and concepts of coding in ways that really helped the ideas to 'click' better than any other resource I've used. I found the course challenging but not disheartening, and when I did feel defeated by an issue I asked for help and got encouragement and help. The lessons gave me enough understanding to test out the new knowledge but encouraged us to do our own research to expand on that lesson further - which made me realize how to use other resources online to learn and experiment even more. I feel so proud of what I've learned in a short time. Thanks so much for putting this course together and making coding accessible and enjoyable.

Someone who tries to learn how to code
First of all, React is so scary. Everything is confusing, But when you learn that, You can code easier and enjoy coding more than in the past. So, if it is tricky at first, don't be scared. keep a deep breath, do challenges step by step with lesson videos. Search on slack or google if you need new features, then do it. React is easier and more interesting than you think.
This workshop is amazing! Coding looked so complicated and felt so overwhelming when I tried to figure it out myself. This whole experience and teaching made me understand coding on a base level I never would have on my own, this experience gave me the opportunity to learn, experience and do it myself essentially with help. I love the hands on approach and that it doesn't feel like spoon feeding, yet it is laid out so clearly that you completely understand what is going on. I would recommend this platform to anyone I come across
It's been fantastic to learn a new skill which I will definitely consider developing further. SheCodes is presented in a really easy format and allows you to work when suits you. I really like the function on the video's which allows you to adjust the speed at which they playback. The online support provided by slack is a fantastic tool which helps when wanting a solution to move on to the next step at speed.
I thoroughly enjoyed this workshop! πI started with absolutely zero knowledge on coding or what it entailed and have learnt so much throughout this course- I can't wait to learn more and develop my new skills in the future!
