I recently started a new job in tech-sales. My position made me gain a lot of theoretical knowledge about IT, and I wished to put this knowledge into practice. I always had a keen interest in tech but never started practising. Personally, I find it challenging to start with something completely new when having zero foundations: where and how best to start? I am so glad I signed up at SheCodes: it truly is for absolute beginners yet coincidentally the learning curve is steep! It helps you gain professional coding habits and trains on best practices. The course content is well explained and mixed up with a lot of practice; super well organised and - most importantly - fun. My introduction course to coding has been a great experience and I am excited to keep training with SheCodes all the way to React.js.
SheCodes was a super fun way to learn to code while deconstructing complex problems. It makes it easy to understand and I enjoyed learning the logic behind it. The support offered is a big plus as it encouraged me to test some other features that weren't taught, knowing I would not be left out stuck. 100% recommended!
I cannot explain how excited I am to have completed this course. It is an indispensable tool today that our ideas and designs can be viewed on any device, and it is an incredible personal achievement to have been able to understand and apply that knowledge with the help of SheCodes. I came across a SheCodes ad on instagram. Didn't look into it much until i came across it for a second time. I had decided to sign up for the free class & was very interested in learning more. i'm so happy i took the class and i cannot wait to continue to learn more!
I enjoyed this class a lot, I'm still unsure if this career could be right for me though. Its a lot to learn but Matt made it as simple as possible I believe. Although, I did spend 2-3x more time on assignments as Matts projections.
Currently, I am an HCA and MAC in the health field, which I l love. I want more freedom and I know coding will help to achieve it. I was so excited to learn in SheCoding. SheCodes teaches you by showing and making you do challenges. I learn better this way.

I really enjoyed SheCodes React! React can be quite challenging, but the projects helped reinforce my learnings and I will continue working on both the Weather and Dictionary projects after this class. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone interested in learning React.

I approached SheCodes immediately after graduating in Data Science. In my studies, I have known other programming languages ββbut I didn't know anything about web programming and I was curious to know if I might like it. I could have bought books or searched for free material on the internet, but I preferred to take a course that was simple but consistent. And I can confirm that it is a course suitable for anyone! Matt explains in a simple way and the learning is very gradual. I recommend it to anyone who wants to approach these topics, even if just out of curiosity. I was feeling a little lost when my brother told me to try this. I decided to give it a go. I was surprised when I found I loved it. Because of that, I found a new passion... coding! I really enjoyed SheCodes basic workshop for two main reasons: first it has been taught in a pretty simple way including great examples and explanations which made the learning process very sweet and interesting. It was also fun. I must admit that Matt Delac is truly a great teacher. I spent hours watching videos and didn't notice that it was passing so fast. Second, the assignments had been designed so well that let the students practice the lessons in a highly productive and challenging way. They had an impressive role to help me master what I had learned through workshop. In a nutshell, I am really pleased with the first workshop and so excited to go to the next stageβ¦
Working for TikTok before and now, Asurion, sparked my interest in all things tech-related but mostly coding. The thing is, I didn't know where to start so I spent weeks and weeks looking for the perfect online coding class. Yes, there's a lot of free courses out there, but I know myself. Without proper structure and motivation, I'd simply fail. I was so glad then when I saw an ad for SheCodes on Instagram. I looked it up, went through each workshop's details to see which one fits me the most, read the testimonials, even checked out some of the alumni's LinkedIn profiles to make sure the reviews were legit. And it was. I just finished SheCodes Basics and couldn't be happier and more proud of myself. Matt is an amazing instructor--he's clear and explains things really well. As someone with minimal coding background, I was able to grasp everything Matt talked about easily. I also love that the lessons are structured and that each lesson is followed by challenges where I get to practice what I just learned. SheCodes Pro was so rewarding! I can't even begin to explain how much I value this course. I definitely would recommend SheCodes to anyone who wants to learn how to code but can be overwhelmed by too many resources/courses/textbooks that are available. SheCodes offers an amazing introduction to coding with great guidance from Matt and feedback from others along the way. This interactivity makes it a very special experience!
Besides learning about HTML, CSS, JS, using API, how to host and getting familiar with Bootstrap - which one can learn on any course, I'd suspect -, I was constantly pushed to try more. Every challenge tested my progress and when I got stuck, other coders and the very friendly and professional staff of SheCodes provided help over slack 24/7.
After one week of HTML/CSS basics and one week of Javascript basics, Matt and the team at Shecodes unfolded the magic of mark-up languages, enabling me to build my very first own landing page. At my own pace. Which makes it even more awesome β€οΈ The lessons are short and concise, well structured, and easy to digest with the follow-up mini-tasks that make you learn as you go. Really gives you a kick start to frontend knowledge and opens the door to learn even more from there.
I was feeling overwhelmed by JavaScript while learning through Udemy, but this course breaks it down into manageable chunks. The excitement of getting the JavaScript to work is real! I am excited to continue my SheCodes journey with React and hopefully a new career!

I love learning new things and discovering how things 'work'. Coding has been on my to 'explore' list for a very long time, but I didn't know where to start. Most online courses seem to assume you have some kind of background in coding, and I didn't want to spend a small fortune or the time commitment required to attend a formal coding bootcamp, in case I didn't enjoy coding after all. I'm so glad I came across the SheCodes add on Instagram. In SheCodes Basics, Matt teaches the very basic fundamentals of coding, and slowly builds from there. He doesn't assume you know what he's talking about but takes the time to explain the concepts with lots of examples. I can't wait to continue learning and building on the knowledge and skills I've acquired from this course.

The course was very easy to follow, and just challenging enough but not too challenging. It is absolutely possible to complete even if you have zero technical background. I thoroughly enjoyed learning useful skills that can directly transfer into a real-life job position.

I would highly recommend this course, the lessons are simple, short and sweet. The challenges and homework elements ensure you are putting what you learn into practice. The fact the course has deadlines to stick to (and cost actual $$) means you are motivated to continue, compared with free information online which is often difficult to source, digest and put into practice! Matt explains things really well and I am so pleased to have another item to add to my coding portfolio!

What exciting couple of weeks continuing my SheCodes journey and completing the SheCodes Plus workshop! π Learning how to use Bootstrap for structuring and changing the layout of webpages in an easier way, Git & GitHub for version control and Netlify for hosting webpages. I enjoyed the step-by-step process of building my own fully functional weather application, leaning how to use APIs and designing it the way I liked. Once again thank you Matt and team for the awesome workshop from which I learned lots! I would highly recommended the SheCodes Plus workshop for anyone who would like to learn more about Front-End Development. I am looking forward to continuing with the SheCodes Responsive workshop! π

I felt very uninspired and burnout at my current job position /IT Asset Analyst/ so I persuaded my boss to pay for SheCodes course. It was the best decision ever! Now I can learn new skills in my working time and I am sure that once I will get the final certificate from advanced part I would be able to leave that boring job behind and deep dive into coding where I have much more space for creativity :) I would recommend SheCodes to every woman, cause it gives you not only coding skills but general view into logic, problem solving and collaboration with community online.
I learned a lot within these three weeks. This course provided a sound basis/an introduction to HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I could directly apply what I learned to my daily work, including improving communication with front end developers. I can't wait to get started with the advanced courses! π
