I started this program with no experience and these past three weeks have been so fulfilling. I feel very confident that I'll be able to implement everything I have learned so far towards future work endeavors and personal projects. The modular classes are easy to follow along, the assignments are challenging but not impossible, and the final project was actually very fun to develop. If you are considering taking this course, I highly encourage you to start it ASAP.

This is my second course with SheCodes. I love the structure of this course - first you have the opportunity to learn from Matt through clear and engaging videos, and then you get plenty of practice through challenges and homework which test and grow your knowledge further. The Basic course was already incredibly good and made fun for more. That's why I followed the Plus course directly. In between it was really challenging and exhausting. I learnt a lot from this class, and it helps me to think and adapt to how the computer understands and reads commands. Also, it was fun and was not intimidating at all, a very easy transition into this new coding world for someone who does not have a computer degree at all.

This was a really fun workshop to do! I am really glad that we had to build 2 different projects because you can definitely see the learning curve. In the first project I was struggling with React and getting constant error messages - in the second project I was already able to understand and use it much better. I am sure if I start creating some projects on my own that it will go smoother and smoother. Thanks for the mentoring and great help in the Slack community.

In addition to creating new job opportunities, it fascinates me to become a producer in the age of technology that can help the next generations to thrive.

I enjoyed learning the basics of coding including HTML, CSS and JS. Matt explained it so well and all the technical assistants were so helpful. I will definitely come back for another workshops. The lessons are broken in small portions and each has a practical task to do. And then when don there is a final task. Sometimes, you feel frustrated, but your course-mates and technical assistants are there to help you and feel better. So overall I really enjoyed course.

I had basic knowledge about HTML and I remember customizing my own "MySpace" page back then. I remember how fun it was and sadly, I didn't know that it could be something that I can do as a grown up and earn money with. Learning React has been a great eye-opener after previously doing JavaScript. It felt a lot more intuitive, and I can tell it is going to be great to work with moving forward. I'm hoping to be able to sneak some of it's use into my current work role.
at first glance you wouldn't think you could learn so much by making such a simple looking app, but it has so much useful information both in Javascript and API. I recommend going throu it more than one time to really understand the concepts.

I always thought I couldn't learn how to code because I wasn't good at math and struggled with school. SheCodes was a great introduction to coding and made me feel like I had the support and community I needed. The Admins on the Slack channel are really quick to respond and the other students are ready and willing to help if you get stuck. Even though this is just the first step, I'm proud of myself for working through the challenges and coming away with tangible results.

I wanted to change of carrier to focus more on development side.For the one don't know this side,I am in this moment electrician 40h per years and in my lost time I do networking/dev/programming server, website and more... But what I really want is this: βI wanted to learn more about talks between techies and understand what is behind certain technologies.β I will continue to learn on SheCodes to get more skill :)
I had so much fun during this workshop! The self-paced learning fit me perfectly as it gives me the opportunity to manage myself and have self-discipline. The challenges helped me build and solidify my knowledge. Matt's videos were really easy to understand which helped me learn very quickly. Awesome Basic Workshop! A fantastic beginning class, a great middle between challenging but attainable. I learned a LOT and can't wait to continue on to the other courses. I really enjoyed the challenges at the end of each lesson, which helped to build and solidify my knowledge. I did have to take notes and re-watch some videos, but I quickly learned that's okay! Be kind to yourself and have fun and you will make it through! Matt's videos are easy to understand and follow--great teacher.

I couldn't be happier with the workshop, I just finished the Basics and definitely will continue until the SheCodes Pro. I tried learning coding a year ago thru other ways, it was very hard and upsetting and I stopped, now with SheCodes it was so smooth, I had all the support I needed when I couldn't figure out a coding mistake, the explanations are so clear and easy to understand, honestly only have good things to say about this workshop.

I learnt HTML and CSS in the early 2000s and tried my hand at being a front-end developer. However, I felt like an imposter and lost my love for it because I couldn't get my head around JavaScript. After discovering SheCodes, I admittedly took a few months to finally take the plunge to enrol but I am extremely happy that I did! The way Matt breaks down each concept makes it incredibly easy to understand and apply. I truly wish SheCodes existed at the start of my career β my life would be very different today if it did. It's never too late though and I'm excited to start the next workshop!
