When I started SheCodes Plus I was about to start a new job at a large company as a UX designer where I would be working with developers on the designs I made for mobile apps and websites. I wanted to be able to speak their language by learning how to code. SheCodes Plus really helped me transition into my new role, even just by teaching me terminology like "Calling an API" (and knowing how to do it in Javascript!) or being able to read code when I would inspect a page on our company site for things I needed to reference. It gave me a lot more confidence in my skills - especially with being the "new girl" on the team. SheCodes Plus really focuses on Javascript which I found to be the trickiest of the three coding languages (HTML, CSS, and Javascript - I'm very comfortable with CSS now lol). Overtime I started to get the hang of it especially when we got to the Vanilla Javascript stuff. I love how Matt teaches and everything is so well structured its easy to follow along. The community is great, too, because they are so fast to get back to you when you have an issue and help you get through it (This is super handy for Javascript btw!). I cannot wait to jump into Responsive! I wasn't sure if I was going to do the React course at first, but Matt kept saying that things get a lot more straightforward when we get to React, so I will now be doing that one, too, and finish off all the courses! Thanks so much for all you do Matt, team, and SheCodes! This is a fun course!
I found this course packed with information and I loved the style of Matt's explanations. With a full-time job, it wasn't always easy to find the time and that's why I was also thankful for the possibility of postponing deadlines. I am finishing this course with so much joy, seeing my own progress in coding and I am motivated for the next adventure learning React in the next course. SheCodes has been one of the best things I started in years. The video's are amazing, the community is great and it's a very easy and good start te learn how to code. and don't forget: it's so much fun! I think Matt and his team has found a great way of making coding fun and I celebrate the fact that they target women. And they do it realy well, with Cat's coding, lots of emoji's and even jokes. I highly recomend SheCodes to learn how to code, to get a new skill and to have fun!
SheCodes Plus has not been easy or a walk on a bed of marshmallows. Multiple late night sessions for me, but the things learned has been phenomenal with practices that reinforces the concepts of the things that we have learned over the past 8 weeks.
What a terrific program, an egoless environment that encourages anyone to give it a try whilst allowing students to learn at their own pace. It's very easy to then further progress with the synchronised courses - would highly recommend to any women considering not only a career change, but even just a new skill set.

SheCodes Plus is an amazing course to expand on what you learn in the Basics course - and it's so much fun! Javascript can be confusing at times but Matt is an excellent teacher and explains it so well at every step. I really enjoyed learning how to integrate real data into a working weather app and I'm looking forward to learning even more with SheCodes!

The mission itself - that of encouraging women all around the world to skill up in today's Tech dominated world drew me closer to sign up for their workshops! The tutorials are byte-sized and easy to follow along allowing for an easy grasp of conceptual learning by doing! Love the added touch of a Delac Foundation program that supports learning for earnest learners in developing nations! I'm looking forward to learning along and helping the broad & diverse slack community of women learners skill up in any and every way I can as we plow through the weekly well-paced materials!
This was so much fun to learn! I looked forward to coming home from work every day and taking on another challenge and then ultimately building my very first app! Matt's teaching style is great and easy to understand and it is nice to be able to have videos and sources to refer back to. The team is also wonderful, with quick and helpful responses. There were times I definitely challenged, but I am so proud of what I have already accomplished and am excited to continue forward in my journey to become a software developer!

SheCodes make me realised that I really enjoy coding. A fun way to learn by step by step video by Matt & we have a community who are always there to help out when I'm stuck with my code. The best part, I now have a working online portfolio that I showcase all my front end developer works!

SheCodes is a great course for beginners or even advanced coders. I enjoyed the flexibility of the Basics course and plan on pursuing the more advanced courses. I really enjoyed gaining experience in Javascript, CSS, and HTML. Matt really makes the content easy to understand. I reccomend for anyone trying to learn coding!!!!
I've always been interested in learning how to code but could never find a class or program that could teach in a simple enough way for me to follow along. I came across SheCodes and read the testimonials of many other women like myself who is trying add to our skills and make ourselves even more valuable in an ever growing technological world. After these last 3 weeks of taking the SheCodes workshops and completing my first Project, I am grateful and extremely excited to take the Advanced courses in order to help me reach my life goals for myself and my family!
The course was fun and designed for absolute beginners like me. Toward the end of the course, I felt that I want to learn to code even deeper. There are great resources to keep you on track and motivated, especially Slack was great to me. I was inspired by many students' final projects. Definitely recommend it to my friends.
This was incredibly challenging. I really enjoyed learning more about JavaScript and API integration as well as learning how to properly work with Git and Github. Matt is a great teacher and I appreciate that there is a team that's willing to help you when you need assistance with your code. This is a great resource for those who are beginners but want to go more in-depth with their coding skills.
I am currently within the HR career path. However, I have always been curious about coding. I heard about SheCodes last year, and I decided 2022 was going to be my year to EMBARK on this coding journey. The main aspect I was interested in with coding was web design. π©π½βπ»I enjoyed learning HTML, CSS, and JS. I did not expect to learn as much as I did in this coding basics class. All the lessons are ordered in a way for easy learning and comprehension. Matt is an amazing teacher. With each homework assignment and project, you get to test your knowledge! I was hesitant to learn this on my own- however with the support of the SheCodes squad/other learners, I felt empowered that if I didn't understand- I could reach out on the real-time Slack chat. My final project reflects my love for baking! I tried to make it simple yet modern. There are still some concepts I would love to learn in order to implement for further development of my web design skills! I'm not sure what the future is for my coding journey as of now. SheCodes Basic was a great intro to coding. It provided the building blocks needed for beginners to learn concepts in a convenient and exciting way This program provided me the ability to learn Javascript, CSS, and HTML in under a month and I am forever grateful.

When I joined SheCodes, I had zero coding experience, and Matt made coding so easy to learn. I love the way the lessons are divided into short videos, and they give a new activity in almost every lesson to put into practice what has been learned and makes it easier to memorize the information. I'm very proud of everything I've learned so far. And I can't wait to learn more.
Great course to learn about responsiveness
I came into this workshop with ZERO experience in coding, and I'm so proud of what I've learned so far! Anyone sitting on the fence, PLEASE take the plunge, you'll learn a lot and it's a great skill set to have! There's many resources to get help, and if someone as tech-challenged as me could get into it, anybody could!
More than happy with this course! In the past few weeks, I've learned SO much about front end development, and can't wait to work on more projects.
With zero prior coding knowledge I watched the free coding video to see what coding is all about. I was instantly interested so I took part in the SheCodes basics course. The whole experience was exciting, fun, and difficult at times . Matt's a brilliant educator, his teaching style enabled a smooth this transition into the coding world for me. Credits to technical support and the supportive students at Slack. This is just the start for me, I look forward to learning more in the upcoming course.
I love the pace of the classes and how the challenges build with each lesson. The final assignment really pulls together all of the lessons and helps with repetition of content. I feel really positive about learning to code and I hope many other women join.
Not only I learned a lot but I had a really fun time with the class and I found myself looking forward to work on the next lessons.

This was a great course to learn new skills like API integration to use real life data, learning how to use github and pushing changes to your code, and having netlify to host your work. On top of that having people to help us on the side whenever our code was doing something different or whichever questions we may have had. I'm glad I was able to learn more throughout these couple of weeks.
I absolutely loved this workshop. I learned so much during this process and I absolutely loved the final project that we got to do. Building the Weather App was such a fun experience and it really taught me a lot about my abilities and was a great learning experience at filling in the gaps. I really appreciated all the feed back that I got from the instructors and Matt gave great information in the lecture videos.

I have really enjoyed doing my SheCodes Basics programme! I have been trying to study programming for a while and was attracted by the structure of the programme. I really like the fact I have deadlines, as this means I can focus my study better. I am looking forward to continuing to learn more on SheCodes plus.

As hard as it may look or be, just keep pushing yourself. SheCodes was very flexible with me when I got sick with Covid and I will forever be grateful. I loved how simple and engaging the course was structured! At first, I was intimidated by learning how to code, but being able to understand the logic behind and go through the challenges made me see how amazing coding is. It really hooked me!
I've learned more coding in this course than I thought possible! Getting the chance to finally add onto the basics that I learned when I was younger is really rewarding. I can't wait to continue learning!
Love how simple and user friendly the SheCodes website is. Also found the cheat sheets/resources to be extremely helpful - especially the gradients and palettes. I didn't rate SheCodes 5 stars because I feel that the lessons are taught too quickly. Perhaps it's my type of learning preference, however I believe more practice between lessons would be beneficial.
Another course that didn't let me down. I thought that I had learnt a lot before start the Responsive Workshop, but Matt Delac and SheCodes keep always surprising me, even more. So grateful for what I've learned! We keep going! 3/4!!!

The SheCodes React workshop was amazing! It has honestly been my favourite workshop out of all of them! The structure of this workshop made learning react very easy, interesting and enjoyable! There are many opportunities to practice and apply what you have learned. The support is great, and no question goes unanswered.
I really enjoyed SheCodes React: At the end of this course, I'm willing to learn more and do more! I was super happy to discover React after Vanilla Javascript :-) Also, the 2 projects are very interesting: different APIs, different problematics... It was so easy for me to learn how to code, the videos were extremely helpful and I can't wait to enter a field with this information.
SheCodes has made it possible for me to learn essential front-end tools quickly and properly. With each new course the material levels up in difficulties but SheCodes still makes the information easily digestible.
With each week I can feel myself becoming more comfortable and confident with skills developing at a good pace. During the SheCodes+ I have found some parts challenging and in need of persistence, but that has just made the learning and understanding of the topic all the more rewarding. I would encourage everyone to participate, and stick to it until the end as you won't believe what you'll be able to do in such a short space of time :) Believe in the process and yourself!πͺ Happy coding! π©βπ»β¨

This was my third SheCodes workshop, and I loved it! The final project we were learning to build was so much fun and so useful. I come out of this journey, not only with knowledge on how to make a website responsive but also with a portfolio I can update and use to share my work!
One of the best basic coding classes I've attended. I've never been so far into a coding course and understood so much. The community is so supportive as well as whenever I'm stuck, first of all, there is no judgement, and second of all, the community would gladly assist me. It's an overall positive group which really makes a big difference in my learning. I'm glad I enrolled myself with SheCodes and am looking to further enhance my coding knowledge!
Doing all the workshops I like React workshop the most. It was very challenging. My journey with coding will not end just here with SheCodes React. I will do my best to keep learning. Because it is plenty to learn still. I am highly recommended to any woman to do them all from basic, plus, responsive, and react. Learning is key!!!.
