Just a few short weeks ago, the thought of having to code an entire webpage seemed incredibly daunting. Thanks to Matt and the SheCodes team, I see now that it is completely possible! The lesson videos are very comprehensible, and the challenges and homework assignments helped keep me on track throughout the course. I have learned so much in the past few weeks, and am becoming more confident in my coding abilities. I am already looking forward to beginning the next course!
Highly recommend SheCodes Workshop! Really easy to understand, with challenges in all the classes with is good for you to practice what you have learned. I am really happy with all the achievements I had in coding since I started studying at SheCodes.
I have to say that these past 3 weeks were really fun and I learnt a lot. What surprised me the most is that the course was not only really easy to understand but the exercises were really practical (and it had solution to it which made it even more awesome). This course was perfect that even a mom with a newborn could handle and an incredible introduction to JavaScript and API that I genuinely enjoyed! I'm currently on maternity leave and wanted to do something for myself during my time away from work while my son napped during the day. This course opened my eyes to the world of coding. As a Product Manager, I cannot recommend more than for all PMs to take SheCodes to better understand what our engineers do on a day-to-day basis for better collaboration and product development. I was always interested in coding, but I never found a good place to learn it. Until I discovered SheCodes! I enjoyed my workshop and will do some more in the future. I've loved developing this responsive website from scratch with Matt. I've learnt more about SEO than I thought I ever would, discovered how much easier Bootstrap can make my life and I'm happy with the website I've learned to create. Can't wait to learn React next!
Wow, I can't believe how quickly those 8 weeks went by! After finishing the SheCodes Basics Workshop last December I was really excited to start this new project and learn more about coding and Javascript. Not gonna lie, at times it was quite difficult to understand and I struggled to follow. But this is what I really enjoy about this course and the concept: you can do everything at your own pace - if you don't understand it you can just re-watch all the videos, you can do it step by step and you can ask for help. I am really proud of what I have learned already in this short time and I am so excited to continue this journey :)

This is my last workshop (for now-at least until they release more courses!). From now on I have the confidence to work on my own projects and collab with others, and now that I have my portfolio website all set up, I have something to show to recruiters in the job-hunting process. Learning React was a journey, not always easy but very satisfying once things started working. I loved my journey with SheCodes, now that I completed all the workshops I can say with certainty that it is a wonderful bootscamp for anyone who might be a little scared and see code as daunting. It offers not only easy to follow classes, that allow us to make our own hours and workaround difficult schedules as it offers a great and supportive community, starting by our instructor Matt, all of the awesome support team as well as all the students! I went into SheCodes with very little prior knowledge of html, css, or javascript. I would like to become a front-end developer and this course really helped jumpstart me in the right direction. The course really helps you learn how to learn which is SO helpful when it comes to languages.
The lessons were really easy to follow and I was able to troubleshoot and learn along the way. I'm really proud of how much I'm able to achieve in this short amount of time. This course has been so helpful in motivating me to learn and also giving me actual useful skills for me to become a web developer.

I personally loved this program. I wanted a chance to understand the basic tools of coding in hopes of pursuing my dream job of being a software engineer. This program did exactly that, I was blown away with how much I was able to learn in such a short amount of time. I really enjoyed learning through SheCodes. I love the way the classes are laid out. It was nice to have short videos, fun projects to do, and after you submit your projects, the solutions are provided. It really helped me learn a lot and I'm really excited to move on to the advanced classes!
As a project manager who works with developers on a daily basis, I signed up to this course hoping to learn some basics of coding to expand my knowledge. I was not disappointed. I was very impressed with the quality and detail of the course, but also the way it was delivered was very clear. It ensured the student wasn't just watching a YouTube video, but actually put into practice the lessons learned. The timing of the work was perfect for me, five hours per week is doable for someone with a full time job (or someone who is a new mother). It allowed me to focus on lessons, complete my assignments and absorb the learning properly.
I've been wanting to learn to code for years, but always felt intimidated about how or where to start. I'm so glad I found SheCodes and decided to give it a try! I have really enjoyed learning from Matt and the rest of the SheCodes team and would highly recommend this course to any ladies who may be interested in exploring coding for just fun, or looking to pursue professional development or a career in coding.

This is my third workshop with SheCodes, and I'll definitely be coming back to learn React! There's just enough information in these courses to teach you the foundational knowledge you need to become a developer without holding your hand every step of the way. This was definitely a challenging final project, but there's nothing more satisfying than learning from your mistakes!

SheCodes blew away my expectations! I had taken a class last month on coding basics, but didn't really learn much. After finding this workshop I'm glad I signed up. Throughout my SheCodes journey, I have gained an abundance of knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I've learned to incorporate fontawesome and bootstrap and can successfully design responsive and SEO-friendly websites. This basics course was an excellent beginning to coding! I honestly learned so much and am still excited to learn more. The courses are short and sweet. I really enjoyed learning the process a small step at a time. I'm an illustrator (now seeking a career as a front-end developer) and this was entirely new knowledge to me, but from the way that these lessons were taught, I learned the coding basics pretty quickly. Excited for the next course!
This workshop is definitely much more challenging than SheCodes Basics but this also makes it more rewarding. You dive much deeper into JavaScript and learn about API & GitHub - integral parts of Front-End Development. With each workshop, I am getting more and more interested in Web Development, so I am looking forward to learning more in SheCodes Responsive!
The world of coding is a bit intimidating for someone like me. My full career has been based around customer service and hospitality. SheCodes, and Matt, helped me realize that even after 10 years post college, I can learn something brand new! I hope to continue to grow my coding knowledge and one day transfer these skills into my career path!

I've gone from knowing nothing about JavaScript to understanding API integrations. This is a great course for someone who wants to understand how websites function and for those who want to learn how to build their own. I'll be looking forward to taking on the Responsive course to take my learning to the next step.

Woohoo! I have achieved my final certificate with SheCodes (React)! It's bittersweet as I'm going to miss the community and the staff. But I'm so very grateful for everything that I have learned and I'm so excited to continue learning and growing! Prior to this course, I had zero experience with coding. I always thought it was something really hard to learn. I tried to learn by myself but the online class I was taking had no support, it was hard to keep myself motivated. I heard about SheCodes in an online group of women in tech, I did some research and I decided to give it a try. I am very happy that I made the decision to try one more time with SheCodes, I have all the support I need when I get stuck at some part of my code, the lessons are direct and short, very well put together! I am excited to continue on this journey.
What a journey this has been, from learning the basics to being able to create applications in React. This course was mentally challenging and equally rewarding. I will miss Matt's tutorials and forever enjoy re-visiting lessons when I'm stuck!

It's been an absolute blast to take this course. Matt makes it so easy and he explains everything in a very pedagogical way. Fun fact: as an engineer I had a very short introduction to Python a few years ago, and I thought it was incredibly boring. Never ever had I thought that I (willingly) would take a coding course in the future. But here I am, and this course have been nothing like my previous experience. All of a sudden coding is extremely fun and I just want to learn more and more. I guess that's the difference between a really good teacher and a not so good one. Now I'm looking forward to taking SheCodes Pro that I will start with on Monday!
