I would 100% recommend SheCodes to friends and colleagues who want to learn how to code. The lessons are broken down into manageable chunks and very well explained. Plus if you are stuck or not sure there is a fantastic community on hand to help. I found SheCodes Plus engaging and challenging, and I am so pleased I persisted as the end result is incredibly rewarding. Having a project to show at the end is great for development and a potential career in Coding.
Plus is a lot more challenging than the first workshop, but it is amazing how much you can learn in such a short time. Thank you, SheCodes team!
It's natural to be skeptical about anything you buy on the internet. I've taken different courses before, and they ended up with disappointment. By recommendation of my manager, I've found SheCodes. I have learned amazing things, challenged by the weekly assignments and meeting the deadlines, and as a result, I've refreshed my memory on HTML, CSS, and Java. Before taking the workshop, I was able to do many things on my own, but the beauty of SheCodes is Matt explains every single thing with the reason behind them. In the end, you know which method you need to choose and why you are choosing it. I loved SheCodes and would recommend it to anyone. Thanks to Matt and his team, it couldn't be any easier to learn so much without losing any motivation, and only in a few weeks. You truly get out what you put in.
This workshop is fantastic when it comes to learning about using APIs. Javascript is tough but Matt lays it out really well for beginners.
With only 3 weeks I was able to learn basic of HTML, CSS, and Javascript. It was a good start of the New Year for me, encouraging me to study in more advanced topic and expose myself to the coding world. Thanks for the nice course and great instruction.
Another great workshop from SheCodes! Glad I got to dive more in-depth into developments tools being used. The courses provided, there is a good balance of learning and creating. The on-call support through Slack is great to have if needed, but so far the encouragement to independently research solutions where possible is great to prepare for real-world experience.
I can't tell you how awesome SheCodes is, You should enroll workshops then you'll know what am i talking about. if you wanna start front-end development you've find the right place. Matt teaches you as well as possible, It's gonna be a fun journey and also full of learning. Along side the lessons you have access to a wonderful support team that you can ask your questions and as soon as possible you end up finding your way.
SheCodes was fast paced but really enjoyable. The videos explained things really well and it helped to see Matt trial and error things. I hope to take another workshop in the near future. The community on Slack with fellow students and mentors is very helpful for troubleshooting. I wish the feedback for the homework was a little more personable but with so many students I understand that it can't always be, but that's another reason why the community is helpful too. Thanks SheCodes for re-igniting my want to learn to code!

My name is Sandra, I'm a molecular biologist. At university I learned programming in C and I hated it. Since then I have never had the slightest interest in learning to code. Recently, I've been interacting with programmers and I'm fascinated by the amount of things that it is possible to create. I attended to the free SheCodes workshop and I liked the way Matt explained the concepts, so I decided to sign up for SheCodes basic... and I loved it! It was easy to learn the concepts, the challenges at the end of each class made it easier to keep up with the topics. Plus it was super easy manage even with a full-time job. The course seems to be covering all the basics, perhaps a bit hard to understand at points as some points are not well explained and to non-native English speakers this could pose a challenge but once you get over that the course seems to be structured in a simple way for easy learning and I look forward to learning more

When I first began the workshop, I wasn't a stranger to coding but even when you are a computer science student and know the basics of coding, there are so much more that you can learn with SheCodes' workshops. I absolutely loved the content, challenges and the useful tools that SheCodes introduced to me. I now have a complete different perspective when it comes to coding. I took a web development course over three years ago. Back then, the program was fast paced and I was juggling so much, that although the course was enjoyable, the curriculum and pacing may not have been optimal for my learning development. Currently, I am a manual software tester, but have always wanted to get back to learning how to code. SheCodes has given me the opportunity to learn at my own pace and retain the knowledge while having fun!
I come from a hands on creative background. I've found that coding appeals to the technical creative side of myself. Matt has broken down each lesson so well, and I'm excited about each new lesson I learn.
I have learned so much! From barely even having seen a code to to understanding how it works and being able to build a page. SheCodes Plus is an excellent addition to SheCodes Basics. It is a very useful workshop where you get to learn a bunch new stuff about JavaScript, APIs and hosting. Matt explains everything clearly and even though you might think building a weather app is challenging, it becomes fun and easy.

This has been such a fun experience. I love getting so deep into learning and coding, that the time goes by so fast. I can spend all day doing this! Matt has also been such a great teacher and he makes everything so easy to learn.
I enjoyed 3 weeks of learning something new and challenging myself by stepping outside of my comfort zone. I am currently a law student aspiring to combine the field of law and tech and this course was a great way to start. What an incredible experience! I knew very little about coding before I started SheCode Basics, but that wasn't a problem. Matt does an incredible job of breaking things down and explaining them in easy bite-sized videos so that you can learn slowly without getting overwhelmed. I loved every second of it and it was a HUGE confidence booster! I can't wait to continue on my coding journey.
So easy to follow along. I loved that I could just ask for help on the slack community when I got stuck. My main thing is I learn best in a classroom setting because I can have direct contact with a professor or a TA to help me out. It's not the same as being in a classroom but it's definitely better than learn on your own without someone to help you out.
I've always thought of myself as a humanities person, was never very strong in Math or Science, and had myself convinced that coding was just beyond my ability. This year I decided to try a few things that truly intimidated me and coding was at the top of the list. After attending Matt's free 1-hour intro, I felt like he was someone with a style and approach I could learn from. His pace is great, he explains things clearly, and maintains the perfect level of enthusiasm. I've just finished the 3-week Basics package and am heading to the next level.
I'm from Atlanta, Ga 24 years old and I am actually just coming back to technology. For half a year in 2021 I was in the CCC doing trail maintenance. I had no technology around me but I had time to think about what I wanted to learn and do and to try to see if coding is right for me. SheCodes made coding achievable by breaking it down into smaller parts. You learn a part, practice your new skill and build on it with each lesson. There are also lots of resources available to help you, and the instructors are always there to help when needed.
