I really have developed my skills throughout this course as I stepped outside of my comfort zone to learn new concepts. I recommend this course for anyone who would like to step into a highly demanded and rewarding field. I am excited to see what opportunities are available for me now as I continue to learn more and connect with developers like myself!
Not knowing a thing about coding, I decided to try it. I had some free time, and winters can be very long where I live, so it was an excellent evening activity to pick up! It was very challenging at times, and I for sure yelled at my computer at times. But, I enjoyed the CSS part; I enjoyed using different colors, fonts, etc. I'm for sure going to continue learning! I'm excited to see where this takes me :)
Really nice workshop, I recommend it if you are new at programming. During the course I completed several challenges that made me learn new things about HTML, CSS and JS. I started from zero programming knowledge and now I am able to create my own simple website!
What can I say? Where do I start? I truly wanted to learn about coding and with so many different bootcamps online, I didn't know which one to pick. Now that I've completed the first certificate (SheCode Basic), I'm thankful I chose SheCode. SheCodes React has been an incredibly fun and challenging workshop! I have learned so much which I am now utilizing in my role as a junior developer. I come from a health care background looking to transition to the digital and technological world. I saw many opportunities for bootcamps, self-paced studies, and other coding resources but what I loved about SheCodes is that it gave me structure. I am well capable of learning on my own, but because I am so new to the industry, I didn't know where to even start. SheCodes Basic was an amazing experience. The lectures are very straightforward and filled with all the information you will need to succeed in completing all the lesson challenges and final project. The video lectures never got too long and monotonous, Matt did a great job organizing and blocking certain topics and following it up with a hands on challenge. He also gave the solutions after each challenge with the opportunity to resubmit and correct your work if necessary. Help was always available through the Slack chat and a team member always responded within a timely manner. This course was a great introduction to solidifying my future plans. I will be continuing this journey and diving in deeper! Thank you Matt and Team for helping me understand this whole new world of computer language!

This is a great workshop for learning frontend development. Regular homework. Plenty of opportunities to practice your skills.
Matt is able to teach coding in an enjoyable and fun way. The short lessons make it possible to learn at your own pace and with every homework you submit you get a feeling of success. Being able to present an actual working "webpage" in the end makes it even better!
I cant believe how much I have learnt and able to code all by myself after these 3 courses. It has really been an awesome journey.

It has been so much fun to learn the basics of coding. Learning HTML and CSS is almost like playing. Javascript was a little bit trickier but once you get the hang of it, it is so fun to create functions and variables to allow users to interact with the page. I definitely can't wait to learn more!

I'm so excited about the knowledge and understanding I've gained through SheCodes Basics! I found SheCodes structured enough for it to hold you accountable, but also fun and engaging. I am hoping to get onto the more advanced courses so I can learn more. I already had a bit of JS knowledge so the basics was not overly challenging, but I still enjoyed coding the project A LOT, it is my first real-looking webpage and I am quite happy with how it turned out!
Coding with SheCodes was a great beginning for me. I tried to self-learn before but it definitelly wasn't as effective. I learned a lot and I'm glad that I can show my friends the weather application that I created!

SheCodes Basics was a great beginners course! I had some prior HTML/CSS knowledge from my MySpace days, but the instructor, Matt, did a great job going a little deeper into each topic. Javascript was brand new to me, so Week 2 was a little trickier but rewarding. Matt did a good job providing a clear overview of JavaScript basics. I loved all the exercises after each lesson, and I thought the weekly homework was an awesome way to put what I learned into practice. Overall, the course was appropriately challenging and fun!

This course is a coding advantage. The fact that they teach you a language that many companies are using gives a plus to your learning. Although you must have some prior knowledge, I felt that my knowledge increased a lot and it was not so complicated for me. In addition, the support of the team always helps you get ahead.

I LOVE LOVE LOVED this course, it was very challenging but everything was still explained very nicely. wow...! I really feel like a developer now. I`d watched a lot of tutorials before this course but I never got the handle of Javascript as much as I do now. I think the reason of this mastery is that in each lesson there is a challenge to complete the lesson. so we are kinda forced to exercise everything we learn right after the tutorial. this way you get used to new things and gradually you store more skills in your coding arsenal. And finally, I absolutely recommend SheCodes plus because you're gonna ENJOY coding and this enjoying part is the most important thing in my opinion.
I just love every minute of these last two projects. I am looking forward to doing it again on my own and being able to put everything I learned to practice. It's been a pleasure to get into SheCodes and I will definitely miss the courses now that I have finished all.
Going through the workshop was pretty intense, for all the good reasons. I usually paused and asked myself how hard it would have been learning all that Java Script without an instructor who broke everything into reasonable bits that one can easily absorb and process. Matt has been such a great instructor. The Slack technical team was amazing too. Well, Slack is where I learnt from other SheCoders that it is OK to feel stuck while working on a project, and that there is no shame at SheCodes if you cannot piece everything together at a given time. We are all learning and supportive of each other. Definitely, SheCodes is the place to be for everyone willing to learn coding. Here's to, as Matt says, happy coding.

SheCodes Basics is an easy step-by-step course that allows one to build knowledge regarding CSS and HTML. It was a very fun course to start learning coding.
The course was extremely accessible and easy to follow ... coming from someone with absolutely no tech background. Excellent introduction to the subject and I really appreciate the real world instruction, as I think that can be easily missed with education of any type. Looking forward to learning more!

This is a great learning platform. It is easy to follow but you still need to put a lot of effort and time into it.

Learning to code through the SheCodes workshops has been a great experience! At the beginning of last summer, I didn't know how to write any CSS or Javascript. Through consistently spending 5-10 hours a week working through the workshops at times that fit my own schedule, I now feel comfortable building React apps.
I learned a lot of advanced HTML, CSS. I am so excited to continue my learning toward react programming. Thank you shecodes team.

As someone who has always had an interest in coding and tech but never knew how to get in (and having left school!) I really thought I would never be able to learn a skill such as this. After being recommended the course through a friend I couldn't be happier with the results so far! Great teaching tools and support through the Slack community and fun challenges with the appropriate amount of 'hand holding' vs encouragement to find the answers yourself! This course definitely was challenging but in all the best ways. It allows you to trial and error what works and work your way through why something doesn't work. The team was a great help in helping me when I was stuck on a problem. This makes me feel better prepared to continue on with my learning.
As someone who knew 0% on how to code, there were plenty of TikTok videos that stated coding as a fun, new career path. BUT it wasn't until I saw & attended a free SheCodes coding class that I was convinced coding can be fun, AND can be my new career path! Having completed the SheCodes Basics Workshop, I can confidently say I didn't feel alone in the learning progress whatsoever; fellow classmates from around the world along with reliable tech assistants who offered help in any challenge, or homework I was stuck on. Also the teaching materials were clear to understand, which is why I highly recommend beginners with zero skills in coding to take the SheCodes Basics Workshop! Now that I've built my first project, I'm excited to know what's in store for SheCodes Plusπ€©

Great program to begin learning responsive coding.
I was struggling to keep myself motivated with other online forms of learning, but was drawn to this course as it had a good structure and deadlines to meet to keep you on task. The addition of a slack community/ help center was what made me choose this course as in the initial steps it was incredibly beneficial being able to look at previous questions or post your own when you are really stuck, while being taught how to figure this out for yourself in the future. Could not fault this course!
