This is by far my favorite SheCodes Workshop! Learning how to build my own responsive portfolio was not only fun, it also prepared me for any future projects.
Undoubtedly, it has been essential to learn about responsive web design and the application of SEO rules, to correctly adapt the appearance of web pages to multiple devices, allow the identification of information by web search engines and make it increasingly user-friendly.
SheCodes Basic has been a great introduction and I'm excited to continue learning.
I came across with SheCodes when I was looking to learn more about how to make great web-products. Even 3 weeks helped me understand how much work goes into designing and perfecting little details! Thanks for making it fun to code and thanks for helping more women break into tech jobs! :)
SheCodes React is an amazing course. It's challenging, lots to learn, but once you complete it, you'll feel accomplished and have so much more knowledge in such a short amount of time. Matt explains things very well. He is real and will show you that even an advanced developer still has much to learn. Loved this course!

I've been curious about coding since 1 year ago, when a friend gave me a glimpse of what front-end development was. Following this introduction, I started looking for online courses so I could learn without abdicating from my daily (and full-time) job as physiotherapist. I tried many different online resources, but it was when I stumbled upon SheCodes on Instagram that my interest started to feel like an actual career possibility as I was reading the different testimonies. The start of the course was exhilarating to me: after working from 9am to 5pm, I would come home excited to learn new things at the rhythm of Mattβs explanations. What I thought could be a hard thing to reconcile - my daily job and the coding assignments - turned out to be quite affordable (not only in price but also) in self-motivation to do more and better. Overall the course is simple, organized, well-explained, inexpensive and gives me lots of tools far from the coding itself as I learned how to Google my obstacles away in a productive manner. Furthermore, I think itβs great to know that you are not alone in the learning process, as there are many others sharing their own doubts on slack! I completely recommend this course, especially for people in the same situation as myself who have found an interest and would love to explore it without compromising their current economic safety :)
The SheCodes video classes and their other resources are amazing, and the team is extremely helpful. Matt's videos are very easy to follow and I love the fact that they are not scripted so we can learn even more from him as he films himself coding in real-time with all the inherent challenges. Another plus is Matt always shows us the best coding practices, even when he says: "You don't have to do this but I highly recommend (...)" π So I can't recommend this workshop enough for people who are beginning their coding journey like me. It is a bliss!!
What an amazing learning experience. Intense, yet well taught and structured. I would never have thought that I would be able to build a live app from scratch in such a short time frame.
SheCodes workshops guided me into an awesome coding experience without having prior knowledge in web development. I am grateful I started to learn coding and decided to invest in myself graduating SheCodes React course. Matt is a great instructor, easy to follow and the lessons and challenges keep you motivated and eager to code more. I really enjoyed learning React, building applications which can be challenging, but extremely rewarding. I saw the add on Snapchat and was intrigued by the name, so I clicked on it and when I saw that they offered a free introductory class I was sold. I've wanted to learn coding for a long time, but couldn't find anywhere to learn so immediately after the free class I signed up for a workshop and I have truly enjoyed the lessons. It is a great way to learn coding and I look forward to learning more!

These three weeks were pretty enriching for me. Learning web development had always been at the back of my mind but somehow I could not begin. Thanks to SheCodes, the content was really organized well, the deadlines were absolutely followable, the slack community was of great help. Overall, it has been fabulous experience for me !

This workshop was amazing! I went from a complete beginner to being able to make something myself all in the space of three weeks. I can't recommend SheCodes enough, it was really easy to follow and fun to challenge myself learning a new skill.
This workshop is very challenging and enjoyable. I certainly feel there are many more to learn and get familiar with. Matt is very good at explaining the concept which makes coding a lot easier to digest. The team provides great support, the best team ever!
I love how this workshop builds upon everything learnt in SheCodes Basics. Never in a million years would I have thought I'd finally understand the basics of JavaScript, let alone know how to pull data from an API or commit code to GIT. I'm ready to tackle the next workshop πͺ

SheCodes Responsive was a handy workshop that I felt helped consolidate the previous skills I had learnt with advanced techniques that are seen as essential skills for front-end developers these days, especially responsiveness to a variety of devices and SEO.
What a great opportunity for a beginner to learn to code - it was fun to explore a new skill at my own pace!

This was my first time learning about web structures and coding. I liked the way that everything was taught from basic. Also I think one of the other highlights of this workshop is that we have to submit the challenges, and because of that, we interact with coding, more, and we can even learn more by doing the challenges. We can watch the videos anytime we want and that's great!! I really enjoyed learning!
I especially liked the fact that you get quite a comprehensive overview in such a short time and it was very helpful that we went straight into practical applications. After a couple of days you really have the feeling that you can do and understand something that you had no idea about before. It's a little crazy how quickly you learn to master such applications at a basic level.
Building responsive websites seem like an easy task, but there are so many details you learn during this workshop that your coding skills will just keep on developing more and more. I definitely recommend it :)

First of all, it is an amazing experience. To be honest, it was sometimes hard for me as I did not have ANY tech background. I did everything from scratch, from time to time felt desperate but at the end, I should say I am quite happy with myself. I will continue learning other courses for sure!
I could not be more grateful for taking up this course. I thought coding was rocket science and something that I would not be able to do. Thanks to SheCodes and this incredible course, I have found out that coding is something that I enjoy doing, which has become my passion!!!. The course's design and the methodology that @Matthieu Melac uses make coding super enjoyable and easy to learn. Even when I got stuck, I discovered how by using the logic part of my mind, I was able to find not just one, but two o more solutions to a problem I can't wait to start SheCodes Plus and keep learning until becoming a professional developer to create solutions and services that contribute to current needs.

The at-your-own-pace nature originally made me think this would make things difficult for me as I need deadlines to do practically anything, but there are deadlines so that's good! The course's lessons were in bite-sized chunks making it easy to digest and learn from. I think I've learned more in this 3 week course than what I learned in an actual college C/C++ course.

I had dabbled in learning HTML and CSS before taking these classes out of curiosity, but never felt confident enough to pursue a career in coding. After taking these classes, I feel I am building myself a great foundation to make the leap into a career. With the available resources, Slack chats, and ability to get real-time help, as well as life-time access to the videos, I am much more confident in my skills and am building myself a portfolio.

I love SheCodes! I love learning all the new aspects of becoming a Software Engineer and I'm hoping I can get a job in the field, once I have completed the courses. Its so easy to learn with Matt's great teaching videos, answering questions I'm thinking of without having to ask! He knows what hes doing! It's so easy to learn and you can do it all in your own time. If you want to learn how to code, this is the way to go. I have looked at so many courses, which I found to be confusing. And although there are some things I get frustrated with when coding, Matt and the team are always there to help.
This is a great workshop to learn and understand a bit about coding and helps identify if you want to go forward on your coding journey.

Having never done anything like this before I was slightly nervous about doing this course. Although I may have found some elements a bit difficult to understand at first and got frustrated several times when I could not get something to work (usually because I missed something simple like a . or a }) I really enjoyed learning this new skill and embraced the challenge. Another great adventure, I'm glad I had the opportunity to learn how to make websites responsive and it's so useful. I'm continuing my journey with the last workshop of SheCodes and I'm ready to be a coding monster ahah!
SheCodes has been a great introduction into the world of coding! I've always been interested but never knew where or how to get started. Matt and the team built a great community and made it so easy to step into the world of coding - I will definitely be enrolling in further classes to continue building onto my newly learned knowledge!
SheCodes has really helped me to keep a good structure whilst learning how to code with the homework assignments using all the techniques we have learned that week. I had very little coding experience prior to this course but now I feel very confident and appreciative of the resources provided by SheCodes.
After going through the SheCode's Basic and Plus, I was excited but nervous to get started on the Responsive workshop. I LOVED this workshop! It was definitely my favorite so far. I really enjoyed learning how to make a website responsive and felt so much more confident writing code. I felt like everything I learned previously really started to click. I can't wait to start the next workshop!
This workshop is just what you need if you want to dip your toes into coding! The self-paced nature is very user friendly, and having 2 week-long extensions automatically available to you makes this course more accessible to me as a disabled woman. This course has been the right balance between challenging, rewarding and fun! Coding has been a lovely skill to learn, and this workshop has made it all the more enjoyable.
I learnt a lot of valuable skills with using react, understanding use of the terminal and a bit more about debugging was very helpful !
SheCodesPlus opens a new world for bigenners. In this workshop you can learn more advance css and javascript, how you can use Apis to get useful data and you learn about git and hosting. Final Project shows how you can build an useful app with the workshops content. Matt explains everything very good but It is very important to practice what matt teaches. With this workshop you can completely build practical websites.
It has been an interesting workshop,I have learnt a lot in a short while.This is the first coding workshop I have completed due to the structure of the course and also Matt's teaching method. I also love the fact that you can always ask for help on Slack.It was also easy for me considering that I work part time and have three kids. I am excited to start SheCodes Responsive!

SheCodes Plus workshop deepened my understanding of HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I must admit the Javascript part was quite challenging while learning about APIs, but once you understand it and see how powerful it is, you get excited and want to learn more. I really liked how well-structured the workshop is, because it allowed me to keep up, even tho I work a full-time job and have a busy schedule. Thank you Matt and SheCodes team for this experience!
Wow...I never imagined that I would learn how to code so quickly! I hated it when I was a kid in school (I couldn't understand it lol), but this time around I really enjoyed learning it from start to finish. I am amazed at how much fun I had learning, even when it was challenging (the SheCodes radio was a lifesaver lol). I am so glad I stumbled upon the ad for SheCodes on Instagram. Matt is an excellent teacher and the resources available are so helpful! I am so very much looking forward to SheCodes Plus and where this knowledge will take me next. If you're on the fence about this, don't be. Just go for it!

This course was great! Very fun to learn and easy to follow along to Matt's teachings. He made it a breeze to pick up the topics and apply them with each lesson. The help from the staff and fellow shecoders was also invaluable. SheCodes Basics sounds exactly like it is, a basic introduction into web development. I am excited to continue through to the other courses!
Once again I have learnt a lot. Specifically this time, I learnt about creating a responsive website. Now I know how to create webpage that adjusts and respond to the dimensions of the screen it's presented on.
SheCodes was a great intro into coding! I feel very comfortable with HTML and CSS -- the JavaScipt portion of the workshop felt rushed, though. I definitely spent more time on the lessons/assignments than suggested, so keep that in mind! I learned a great deal from my time in this workshop and look forward to coding more in the future!

I was a registered nurse back then and had to shift career to hospitality when I moved to another country as my Nursing education is not valid. I always want to learn new things but I have a problem finding the right course and self-motivation. SheCodes is perfect for someone like me who lacks self-motivation and busy with 1 full time job and a side job. I do not have any background with programming but I find the lesson easy to understand, and very motivating. I can easily finish 1 week course in 1 or 2 days because I get very motivated.
As frustrating of a process as it was because I learned so much from SheCodes Responsive and do highly recommend anyone to take it.
