SheCodes Basic was an excellent way to brush up on my rusty skills while also learning new and valuable techniques!
I needed to learn some basicβmoderate coding for work and this program was perfect. Instruction was clear and peers and SheCodes staff was helpful when I needed help.
I've been meaning to prioritise learning to code since 2016, and starting this course has made it actually happen - within 3 weeks. The way the classes are narrated and the accompanying videos and challenges just ... work ... Learning is fun and the deadlines and additional resources really help. Absolutely loved this workshop. When I was in high school (twenty years ago!), I took a couple web development classes and would spend hours after school creating web pages and graphics. I knew I loved creating things for the web, but always did it on the side as more of a hobby since my career was in education. I had been wanting to brush up on my skills for a while, and knew there were a bunch of workshops out there. I picked SheCodes because of the way Matt emphasized that this should be fun...and it was! I've loved seeing how front end development has changed since I first learned and also learning new tools like Visual Studio Code. Thank you for helping me re-learn how to build fun things!
This was a great introduction to coding! I learned so much in 3 weeks. The classes were very organized and easy to follow. Matt does a great job explaining the process and the reasoning behind everything we learned.
The course was great fun! I had no previous experience of coding but was able to follow the lessons with no problems. Finishing the final project was very satisfying and it made me want to learn more!

I've been trying to learn how to properly code for a while, and I have tried quite few beginner courses. SheCodes basics was by far the best. Matt really breaks down every topic in a way that is easily understandable. I truly enjoyed all the challenges and homework. I'm really looking forward to my next workshops π.
This has been an uneasy but gratifying path. I have certainly learned a lot and become much better-organised with my code. This course has been wonderful! It was so clear and every question I had was answered in great detail. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who's interested in learning to code. If you're a little apprehensive, not to worry! This course is not pressured in the slightest, it give you plenty of flexibility and help if you need it.
That was an incredible experience for me. I'm very happy that women are becoming more and more visible in this field, where gender discrimination is most prevalent. I want to thank the SheCodes team and especially Matt Delac, who made me love programming. It was a very well-organized and fun learning process. My advice to anyone wondering if I can do it: Don't wait and get involved in the process.
Fun workshop and the format is easy to follow. The self-pacing works really well, as it allowed me to set my own learning schedule to balance with other priorities like work and family.

I really loved participating in the workshop. It's easy to follow along and divided into good portions, so you don't get too overwhelmed with the input you're getting. The homework at the end of each week are really quite challenging, but definitely fun to do some research on your own and come up with solutions. I really liked building my own landing page in the end and am quite proud of what I've learned so far. Can't wait to learn more about coding.

I learned so much in such a short amount of time, and I had the opportunity to create a project that suites my own interests. The guidance provided throughout this workshop has been so helpful and creates a wonderful sense of community despite this being an online workshop.

I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who wants to try their hand at coding. It's a lot of fun to be able to build something from scratch and immediately see the result. Matt explains what he's doing step by step and if you ever get stuck while you're coding you can just hop on to the Slack platform and ask for help. I'm excited to learn more!

I love puzzles and I genuinely love learning so when I found out about SheCodes, I had to sign up! I material is not easy but Matt does a great job of breaking it into smaller parts & challenges so that you can really take it one step at a time. I am enjoying this process so much! Its a good course on how to make your websites responsive. Leant a lot in this module. Its been challenging and has a deep learning curve but overall its been fun learning.

Everything is really well explained. Everyone has been super helpful. The weather app project was a great challenge. I learned a lot.
This was an enjoyable experience! I didn't realize how much I had learned or how much I would understand at the end. This made starting the project a daunting task to me. Once I started my project, I realized I recognized a lot more code as I was putting together different elements and working through trail and error. It was fun to see that I was able to create so much and it's only been a few weeks!
Thoroughly enjoyed the workshop, and can't wait to apply what I learned. Looking forward to starting the other workshops!!!

Coding has always seemed very daunting to me, but the SheCodes basics course was the perfect introduction to coding. While there is a lot of information to take in, it's explained in a way that doesn't feel overwhelming. Having challenges based on the information you learn from a lesson is a great way to apply what you've just learned & helps it make sense in the bigger picture of coding.
The 3 week SheCodes course was the perfect introduction to the coding world! I was able to complete the lessons at my own pace and Matt's explanations were easy to understand. Although I have a lot more to learn, I feel like this course was a great foundation of knowledge.

Initially, I was concerned about not being able to understand coding. So I had been postponing this learning milestone for a long time. When I started with SheCodes, I selected 3 weeks for the basics, and still, I thought I would need some extensions. The 10th day has passed, and I've already completed the last project. What is truly amazing is how SheCodes simplify the complex process of learning such a difficult skill. I am very proud to be a part of this group now. I started SheCodes Basic just over a week ago and was having so much fun learning that I completed the course way too fast! I had never coded before and now I just built myself a cute little website for my final project! I was amazed at how much information I had retained so quickly and how naturally I was able to make my ideas come to life! I would definitely recommend this course if you're curious about coding and want to try it out. I will definitely be purchasing on of the more advanced courses very soon! Im so glad to have done the SheCodes basic workshop. I had no coding background prior to doing this workshop, and I was worried that I will have difficulty understanding the workshop. However, all the lessons are very detailed and easy to understand, and the course allows me to go at my own pace, which is very helpful to me. If I have any questions, I can easily ask it on slack and my queries will be answered in just a few hours. If you are a beginner to coding and you are interested in learning how to code, SheCodes is the perfect program.

SheCodes was one of the best decisions I've made in advancing my career. Although I've only completed the first course so far, I'm looking forward to learning more and hopefully getting a job as a junior developer. The instructions are extremely detailed and easy to understand, and the course allows you to go at your own pace, which was helpful for me, because, in addition to my full-time job, I'm in school working on my bachelor's degree too. If you're interested in learning how to code, SheCodes is the perfect program.
I'm not one to sit for hours and study, but this is different. You get a bunch of short videos and then homework about that video, what makes it so more fun to learn and better to absorb all that new information. I'm really glad I took this course and you should too!

Lessons were thorough and worked for my busy schedule! I was able to learn the basics of coding without needing to pay a lot of money and Matt goes at a pace that makes it easier to understand. Assignments were fun and this made me feel like coding can be enjoyable!

I've been wanting to learn to code since I started my career as a Graphic Designer but had no idea where to start. A friend referred me to SheCodes and I'm so glad as this course made it really simple, can't wait to start the next one!
I've been looking at many options for learning coding but could never decide where or how to start. I began self learning through books but always felt so stuck and confused and began to give up. I really wanted to work on a career change though, and I soon came across SheCodes. I have learned so much more in just 3 weeks than I could through self learning. Not only was it so easy to follow and learn, I was able to complete everything on top of a full time exhausting job and continue to have free time in my personal life. I am excited to progress onto SheCodes Plus and potentially more in the future.
I have to say SheCodes Responsive was my favourite course so far. I enjoyed the Basics and Plus but I absolutely loved all the handy hints and tricks and hacks that we learnt in Responsive, and of course, how to produce Responsive webpages which is so important these days with all the different devices in use. Quite a few times I'd stop and think 'How cool is that!!' The tutorials to work through completing our own webpage were so helpful and really broke it down step by step. I'm so excited to continue on to React and to hopefully one day embark on a career in developing. Thank you Matt for a brilliant course!

I enjoyed this course tremendously! There are many free courses out there to learn the same material, but I felt it was worth it to pay to get my questions answered quickly and join a program with a well-thought out structure that holds you accountable. I think most people don't retain much from watching videos or doing short coding exercises - you learn from doing a complete project that means something to you, with a deadline! SheCodes delivers on this.
