I am very impressed with the level of skills I've learnt. When you look at the agenda you might get a little intimidated at first. But actually it's super exciting. The lessons are very well-organised and easy to follow. I really enjoyed the course. In the end you have a cool project you can showcase.
Hi, I'm happy for having done this course. Honestly, at first I thought it was going to be so superficial that I would probably learn almost nothing but it surprised me for good. Matt gives very useful tips to search and be autonomous in case you need to. Loved the tutorials and the "coding for dummies" language used in them that makes it easier to digest. This course was fun and challenging and I loved it. Very flexible which I truly enjoyed being a mother of two. The structure, support from the SheCodes team, and the help through the Slack program were incredible. In learning a new skill (at any age), Matt made it easy to understand and grasp the basic concepts.

I have had the worst and best of times completing this course. The layout and structure of the course are great but wanting to think creatively made it harder for me since I really had to do my research. I enjoyed every struggle and with research and the information I learned here I was able to create something that I could have never done on my own.

Wow! That was so much fun and intense. I took the basic last year worrying that I would forget what I have learned but nope, it all came back, it also helped that there was a brief review at the beginning. SheCodes plus was a bit challenging but I understood now some terms used in coding and how to incorporate them together. So excited to learn more in the next workshop!
Coding is always something that I've wanted to learn but I didn't know where to start and never got round to trying. Then I found SheCodes and it's provided a really solid foundation to HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and definitely sparked an interest for me to learn more.

SheCodesπ©βπ» is a perferct place to learn coding for absolute beginners as well as those who already have some knowledge or experience of coding. I was a beginner when I started this workshop. In the beginning, I had some tough time to figure out many things, but in the same time, I knew I was not alone because there are many students all over the world taking this workshop, and we are connected through Slack and help each other, which encourages and motivates me all the time! I have just finiched the first step of this workshop but I will keep moving forward to improve myself with SheCodes π Thank you very much, SheCodes and everyone supporting meπ
I wish everything was more up-to-date. It was really confusing but eventually, I got it. I wish I didn't have to go back to relearn everything but I am going to have to. I am not confident yet in my skills but I am glad that I have this to come back to relearn. Even though I don't want to go back to relearn, it is nice to get a refresher sometimes.
A wonderfully creative and hands-on way to learn the basics of coding!
okay here's just my opinion. I honestly liked the shortness of the SheCodes workshop, it was an eye opener experience for me. I did appreciate the videos that were available, but I also had to spend some time having to learn things my own, by searching up how-to videos, and reading about new terms and techniques, which I have to admit, I wasn't thrilled about. I figured since we were paying to get into the workshop, the information would be taught to us, and not us having to teach ourselves at times. Of course, I can't be too upset with it because it was titled a basic workshop, so I should have probably guessed. I also felt like the project video demos were way more easy to follow along versus the challenge videos from week 1 and 2 (sidenote: week 2 seems a bit more easier than week 1, and it wasn't as over bearing, could just have been for me.) The week 3 (aka project) videos were completely step by step, and when I was doing my project, that's what I used to help me build it from scratch, instead of having to go back to look at week 1 and 2 challenge videos (if you're reading this without being in the workshop, it may not make sense, but it will if you do)! The videos from Week 1 and 2, I only knew what to do after I submitted my solution, and I saw the answer. I wished I just understood before from the learning video. I am quite happy that I was able to follow through with the workshop (finally! I had kept putting it off! :') When I finally did commit to the workshop, though, I had some basic knowledge of HTML that I believe helped me keep going. I do think if you're a beginner with no absolute knowledge of web development, you should try to know some before jumping into this workshop, especially if you're gonna pay. There are free beginner workshops online (way long, might be kinda boring too though), I would recommend watching some videos of Introduction to HTML/CSS/JAVASCRIPT, even reading some books (another sidenote: I bought a workbook to help with HTML/CSS, definitely helped me out.), then I would join SheCodes. It wasn't as overwhelming, because some of the words were familiar. Another piece of advice, the deadline can sneak up on you, especially if you have outside life going on, like work or school or whatever else that can take up your time. This workshop is like an online class, so keep that in mind when choosing your start date. Overall, I do appreciate this as a start up, and a push in the right direction. It really depends on your dedication, truthfully. It's a great tool, and I'm thankful for the opportunity. Also, its three weeks-one if you really wanna push it. Not bad.

I'm loving the simple building blocks lesson system from Matt. It's very easy to follow his explanations and apply what you've just learned! His support team is great too! They get back with you very quickly to help with your questions! Great experience!

Same as SheCodes Basic and Plus, I had a wonderful experience with SheCodes Responsive. I improved my HTML and CSS skills and learned how to build responsive websites. As always, Matt was super helpful and made every lesson fun.
I always wanted to learn how to code but felt that would be hard and only for "genious". But now, it's incredible to see how much I have learned in just 3 weeks!

I was initially nervous about taking on learning to code as it seemed complicated, but I wanted to give it a go. SheCodes is an amazing place to start learning, Matt is a great teacher and breaks it down so well - he also compares it to real life scenarios sometimes which makes it easier to understand. You have plenty of time to learn and submit homework/projects while maintaining work/life balance. I love what I have learnt so far and plan on upgrading to a bigger course.
The SheCodes Workshop Basic is an amazing first introduction to coding and programming. Easy to follow and hands-on! I have learnt so much and IΒ΄m glad that I have life-time access to the lessons so I can freshen up my knowledge whenever I need to. Thanks Matt! :)

I did the Basics workshop and I think it's a great way to learn about the very first initial steps in HTML, CSS and JavaScript. PS. The Plus course was really difficult yet fun. I felt that it was a huge jump from the Basic to this. Just to make one function work, I spent hours and hours. In the end, it was worth doing! I wish I could have added some advanced features to my weather app but I feel accomplished. I learned so many things from Matt and other students. It'd have been tougher without them.
I had a great learning experience with SheCodes. I am currently working on getting my bachelors as a Software Developer. I come from an Ultrasound tech background and decided to switch careers. I love coding and I definitely am looking forward to learning more.
I was looking to enhance my professional skills and a colleague of mine recommended I start learning how to code. I was very skeptical, because I have absolutely no background training in coding!! But they were confident that I code learn if I put in the work. By the time I signed up for SheCodes and committed myself to the process, I became more optimistic in my ability to learn how to code. I love the direct and to the point lessons. Being able to complete the challenges immediately after learning the material is very helpful and seeing Matt work through the solution is great! I was nervous to start this process, but now I am eager to continue my coding journey!!

For me React is where the real power begins. It's definitely worth trying! Even though I have a lot of learning ahead of me, thanks to this workshop I have a good unerstanding of how React works and feel comfortable using it.
This program is excellent for starters looking to get a foothold on their understanding of coding! I feel like I've learned a lot about HTML, CSS, and Javascript! I'd like to look into Shecodes+ once I have some more reliable financing, but for free options, this is an excellent choice!

I'm so much more confident in my coding, especially with the responsive workshop. I know how to learn on my own and continue coding to the best of my abilities thanks to SheCode's help. This was a super interesting and fun workshop with a lot of different challenges that took me out of my comfort zone but in the end, helped me improve my problem-solving skills and ability to reverse-engineer design files.
The Responsive course was so much fun. I really enjoyed learning more advanced HTML and CSS and creating my own website for the first time. Looking forward to starting React course.

SheCodes Plus is challenging but worth it. Learning how to design and develop a weather app left me feeling very accomplished. Matt does very well at going through every step of the process in detail.
SheCodes is a great way to enter the coding world. I was always fascinated and curious about how someone can do such complicated stuff but once I started this course, I understood how coding can be so much fun and easy to learn once you dive deep into it!
I absolutely loved my time with SheCodes! I'd previously never considered pursuing coding, but the course helped me realize I actually really enjoy it. The lessons were easy to understand and just the right length. Matt's instructions are clear and so helpful; it's like having a private tutor! Overall I'd recommend trying SheCodes if you're interested in learning more about coding and tech.
