I felt the course was well thought out. There was a good balance between making sure the basics are well understood without making it too repetitive for those with experience in other programming languages. I like to look at the summary of the project first, build it and then watch the step by step videos. I find I learn better that way, and the format of this course allows us to do that if we want.

I took some breaks along the way (I actually took a 3-year break and restarted completely), but with dedication and perseverance, I was able to complete the course and feel proud of what I’ve achieved. SheCodes has given me a strong foundation in coding and the confidence to continue building on my skills. I’m excited to move on to the next course from SheCodes!

This workshop is hard but I learn so much

I came to one of the free classes to see what SheCodes was about and it was intriguing but I still wasn't completely sure so I decided to just rip the band-aid and sign up for a workshop and I don't regret my decision one bit! Super beginner friendly but also challenging enough to feel a sense of accomplishment. I will definitely continue to build on top of what I learned. I can confidently say that I want to continue to pursue coding after getting through this workshop! 10/10

Embarking on the journey of learning advanced CSS has been an incredibly rewarding and transformative experience for me. Initially, I had a basic understanding of CSS, but diving deeper into advanced concepts opened up a whole new world of possibilities for web design and development.The comprehensive curriculum covered intricate topics like Flexbox, Grid Layout, transitions, animations, and responsive design techniques. These advanced skills have allowed me to create visually stunning and highly functional web pages that are both user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing.

The React workshop was the most difficult for me compared to the other workshops. Thank you, Shecodes, for your amazing lessons. I have learned a lot! I am so impressed by how much I know now about coding... and I know I have more to go personally because what we have learned here requires consistent practice. This is a really well-structured course. It has been broken down perfectly, so you are constantly completing lessons and homework, which is vital with the learning process. Have thoroughly enjoyed completing the foundation course and can’t wait to build on it!

It was a great add on course, which refreshes what was learnt in the basics but also shows amore advanced techniques!

I would highly recommend the program, Matt explains everything so well and makes new concepts very easily digestible. I love that he also teaches what is in the challenge questions allowing one to practice what they have learned and he also gives really good examples allowing one to understand the concepts easily. I have not experienced a programming workshop/class/course that compares to this one.

I really love the way complex subjects have been broken down into relatable modules, making them easier to learn. As someone with ADHD it can be difficult to find a style of teaching that fits, but Matt and his team seem to have got it just right. Although it's hard work, I've had so much fun working on the challenges and using new skills to complete the final project.

I enjoyed working on the weather app project. Although I struggled with JS sometimes, I learned a lot in the past 8 weeks!

This workshop was quite the journey! Learning about React was intense but rewarding. Adding components created game-changing ways to what features could be made and integrated into the project. There were many moments of racking my brain and scouring the internet for answers to unruly code but it was still enjoyable.

I really enjoy the workshop. Before it, I never imagined myself coding because I always thought coding is something really boring, dry and difficult. Now, I find myself glued to the laptop to code everywhere as I love designing and learning new things. Matt designs Shecodes in a way that is easy to follow but also challenge the students. I got all the assistance I need when I'm stuck.

This course was very educational regarding coding Websites with API integration and learning how to manage a bigger project with multiple files to keep the code easier to understand and more structured. It also teaches a lot of different techniques on how to make your code cleaner and more polished.
