I have found my blessing in disguise after my position at the company I've work at for over a decade (my first job after finishing university) had been eliminated. During those 12 years, I have discovered that learning and knowing Microsoft VBA for Excel, something had taught myself and truly enjoyed (and up to my last day), gave me a better idea of what I wanted to do. Reflecting on new possibilities, coding seemed like a brilliant idea to pursue, and it helps that I'm pretty techie. Now that the basics of coding has been completed, I'm excited to continue onto the next lessons, and building my skillset from SheCodes that'll eventually help open the doors and allow great vocational opportunities for me.

I just finished the SheCodes Basics Add-on course, and I absolutely loved it! As an architect, I’m used to creating beautiful and functional spaces — and learning to code gave me a whole new way to express creativity. This course helped me build a project that combines both of my passions: architecture and tech. The lessons were fun, clear, and incredibly empowering. I never thought writing code could feel this natural and exciting! Big thanks to the SheCodes team for making learning so inspiring — can’t wait to keep going!

I had no prior coding expertise when I began the SheCodes Basics . I was anxious and doubtful that I could keep up, but the courses from basics to add-on were so understandable, organized, and encouraging that I soon began to feel more confident. Working on this project was a lot of fun. It takes some time and there's a possibility that you will make a lot of mistakes, but you will learn a lot.

I find it a good start, but take care! This is a shortcut. There are some things you will need to learn in addition in order to understand them properly. Of course, by practice and challenging yourself, you get better day by day. Can't wait to take the next course. xxx

I really enjoyed the She Codes Basics Workshop. The learning experience was fun and engaging, with plenty of hands-on practice that helped solidify the concepts. While some parts moved a bit quickly and I occasionally felt certain explanations could have gone deeper, it was still a fantastic introduction to web development. Be prepared to put in some extra effort on your own – but it’s totally worth it. You’ll learn a lot and gain real coding skills. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to start their journey into coding!

The online resources, Athena AI, and videos to help debug all combine to create a very effective learning environment for anyone who wants to try coding!

Learning how to integrate AI APIs into the python coding skills learned in the previous package was really helpful.

I found the Responsive Web Design course on CSS Grid really interesting. It was a great way to dive deeper into building flexible and well-structured layouts. I also had fun discovering some cool extras like CSS filters and iframes — little surprises that made the whole learning experience even more enjoyable! That said, I still prefer using Flexbox — it just feels more intuitive to me for most layout tasks ^^;

While doing my lessons with SheCodes, I started building my own online dictionary project as a way to apply what I was learning. The experience was incredible! I went from understanding basic React components to integrating real APIs like DictionaryAPI and Pexels. Seeing the definitions, phonetics, images, and even audio pronunciation come together felt so rewarding. Every lesson I completed inspired a new feature in my app. SheCodes helped me bring my vision to life now I have a fully functional, stylish dictionary I can be proud of!

I’m honestly amazed at how fast I’m learning! I started this course from scratch, with zero experience, and in just a couple of weeks I already understand things that used to seem impossible. Everything is explained so clearly and practically. I’m really impressed with my progress and excited to keep going. Totally recommended!

Learned coding techniques to make more interesting web pages.

I was unsure if i was going to get through this module, but with practice and repetition, i got there! Great course and i have learned so much!

This workshop was honestly so much more than I expected. I didn’t just learn how to style a page — I learned how to bring it to life. From using CSS grids and background colors to adding hover effects, image transitions, and even dark/light theme toggles… everything felt creative and super useful. I loved that I could make something that actually feels like me. It made me realize how powerful and fun CSS can be. I'm really proud of what I built 💻💖

I learned a lot in this course and it is very doable. The challenges definitely help you to build your coding competency. Like any language, you need to use it to make it stick or you lose it. As an inductive learner, I appreciated learning about the 'big picture' with all the coding possibilities that javascript provides even if we are gradually and logically being introduced to them.

I had a great experience, to think that I knew nothing about coding just 3 weeks ago😉I enjoyed all the challenges, I like how I got to learn things step by step. Great to learn how to make a full website with lots of embedded information and without using Bootstrap! I am feeling more confident in my knowledge on how to create responsive websites.
