It's a little bittersweet because this is my last workshop. SheCodes React was exciting and challenging, and I completely had to "step away" from my computer a few times as Matt usually suggests to do when we are stuck :). I'll forever be grateful for these workshops and I hope to build on what I've learned over the last few months as I continue my journey towards a career in tech. I had had no experience in HTML, CSS, JS before lessons started. Now I can strongly say that this course is cool! You can learn all step-by-step.
I really enjoyed learning how to code with SheCodes. Matt Delac explains everything pretty clear in his lessons. You have enough time and possibility to practice new information - almost every lesson has one challenge, at the end of this lecture you can also check, how this challenge (of course it will be not the only one solution, because your code can be also correct) should be done and improve your solution. This has been such an exciting, mind-blowing, challenging and rewarding experience! I have always been fascinated by coding but it seemed too complex to even consider. When I started reading that through SheCodes it was possible to learn how to code without the need for previous knowledge, I got excited! SheCodes Plus took me from someone who had a foundation to learn intermediate skills after SheCodes Basics, to someone with a foundation to be a professional. I was able to fit the course around my job, and my motivation was high throughout due to the accessible atmosphere and breakdown of content.
I get to learn about many things I never knew about before. Also it was very interesting to build working app from the scratch.
I love SheCodes, easy to follow. it's an amazing learning journey, I don't believe I can finish learning the coding so far and become addicted. Coding actually is fun, it is like solving a puzzle. Coding with SheCodes something impossible becomes possible. Women can code? yes..with SheCodes.
I can't believe that I passed this part and I learned JavaScript as well. I can't believe it! during this path, you may feel exhausted, sometimes bored. You may feel you are not made for programming or developing. but at the end of the workshop, you can see your own project, your own child ๐ you can see how far you come and you made it! I cannot find a word to thank sheCodes and matt!

I was excited to learn new skills, but also surprised by how much fun I would have learning about HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The classes are easy to follow, and the challenges and homework keeps you focused. I have taught myself HTML and CSS in the past, but always got stuck at JavaScript. Not this time! The SheCodes Basics workshop was excellent. The video tutorials were clear and provided step-by-step guidance for the topics in html, css, and javascript. I learned a lot but it was not overwhelming. Once I completed the final project, I realized JUST how much I have learned over the course of this workshop. I'm super proud of myself. I particularly like that you never feel alone or without community because the Slack workspace has a ton of students going through the same challenges as you and you get answers to your questions from the SheCodes team in usually less than 24 hours. Fantastic experience that I would recommend to anyone who interested in getting started with the basics.

SheCodes has got to be one of the best formatted basic coding courses I have ever had the privilege of participating in. There was just enough learning time to really absorb each lesson and with submitted code expectation, I felt a real accomplishment had been made. I also loved the tips and tricks that Matt would include in the lesson, which made my experience a lot more simplified.
It was a pleasure to study at SheCodes. The explanations are simple and Matt tells everything you wanted to ask before you realise you want to ask that. These courses are just a godsend for both beginners and people who have already tried to learn on their own and only confused themselves more. I had the opportunity to study in various free courses and I tried to study on my own, but the irregular presentation of the material only complicated everything. English is not my native language, but despite this, it was very easy and interesting for me to listen to lectures and complete the tasks described. So these courses are an amazing opportunity to learn what you have wanted to learn for so long. Good luck!

Three weeks of SheCodes Basics flew really fast. The course is well-organised: it gives neither too much nor too little information, always keeps you a bit "hungry" and entertained at the same time. You always want to learn more today and, as the videos are short, it's easy to accomplish.
React was very challenging and difficult to learn. It really tested my patience and skills. But overall I have learned a lot and I can't wait to start my coding career!

It was challenging, but I learned a lot. There was always help available on Slack when I got stuck.
I've been interested in learning how to code for some time and found free courses online but the issue with those is that it's very hard to be motivated. This workshop is different as all the videos are not only very informative but very easy to follow. Each video has a challenge which makes you put your skills to practice and I've enjoyed every single one of them. Also, Matt's a great instructor and I highly recommend this workshop.
I always wanted to find something I liked and could work with. With SheCodes I had the opportunity to find a course that was a completely new area for me and that went far beyond my expectations. I'm very happy with everything I've learned and I want to continue learning because I think I finally found something I really like.๐ฅฐ

I've had such a great time taking this course and will continue to complete more workshops. What makes SheCodes special is that they take the time to explain why things function, and what the intentions are behind the code. I've attempted to take other courses that often lacked the understanding of how to explain the steps of why things are done. Instead, those courses often presented sterile explanations of what is being done on a screen. Matt is an excellent instructor, and his method of teaching actually helps you learn, not just memorize.
Before SheCodes, coding was intimating and daunting but this workshop introduced me to the fundamentals and contributed confidence in my ability to learn and utilize code!

After I finished my SheCodes Basics, I went straight into SheCodes Plus. It was more challenging than the Basics but I enjoyed so much and felt like I'm a proper programmer! It was great to learn the DevOps flow and understand how developers work and gradually letting me get used to the process by introducing Git and GitHub was great. I'm keen to continue my learning journey.

The explanations were clear, homeworks challenging but interesting to do. The Beginners Workshop was a great course! The pace wasn't too fast or too slow. I learned quite a bit because Matt was a great instructor! I highly recommend this course for anyone starting out or maybe even a refresher if it's been a while.

When I started learning coding here (and it's my first first time in life), I thought my right part of the brain will blow up; however, after the second lesson, I realized, either Matt is explaining the material so easily to understand, or I just fell in love with coding. The workshop helped me a lot to understand the basis of coding. All the information I learnt is very useful and I'm excited to continue my coding journey with SheCodes.
I majored in English and creative writing in college, going off the notion that I'm a predominantly right-brained individual. Never did I expect a well-placed ad for a free introductory coding course to help awaken my dormant left brain! SheCodes made the seemingly esoteric completely accessible to me. It re-ignited my passion for world-building and opened my eyes to a beautiful new way to understand and approach our digital universe. Not only did Matthue and the SheCodes team gird me with the foundation for an invaluable set of skills, but they also empowered me to keep at my learning, to lean on a community of like-minded go-getters, and to persevere through the tougher moments of frustration. I've not felt this excited to explore and expand my mind in so long, and I can't thank (or recommend) SheCodes enough!
I loved learning React! I struggled a bit first learning Javascript, but for some reason React clicked a lot easier. The challenges and homework assignments will give you lots of practice writing the code out and Matt explains things in-depth. I'm sad this is my last course for SheCodes!! If there are ever any more courses, I will definitely sign up!

As I continue each program with SheCodes, I surprise myself with the amount I have learned and what I can do on my own. What used to look like hieroglyphics to me is now something I can easily read and understand. I am really proud of this weather app and I can't wait to continue my studies!

This was an amazing learning experience. I loved learning how to code and I will continue learning more. I was nervous that it would be hard but its actually a lot of fun when you know the basics and you can put together something as fun as your own website
So, this was kinda nuts. For me, the workshop amounted to a full-time job with overtime. It was HARD and rewarding learning so many new things. I'm proud of myself for persevering. I hope to retain more advanced concepts as well as gain confidence in the next two workshops. And I'm definitely looking forward to Responsive so I can make my Plus final project mobile friendly.
