Unlike other programming courses online, you get to understand from minute one how HTML, CSS and JS are interconnected and gain autonomy very quickly to build your own webpage. It's very satisfying to see how easy programming really is. I think everybody should follow this course: in the 21st century, not knowing how to code is somehow like not knowing how to read... I've enjoyed the learning experience a lot and can only encourage others to sign up!
At first I was a little afraid to start SheCodes course, just because I have never tried anything like it.... But now I feel so happy that I finished my final project. Looking forward to learn more!

I am a PhD student in Life Sciences and, to my shame, never learned how to code. I felt like I am so out of the culture of my peers. I have been on and off the frontend programming on different online platforms these 2 years and SheCodes really motivated me to learn and complete all the small challenges after each lesson, I was very excited to work on the weekly project and created my own projects too! I really enjoyed that the course was constructed in a way that I could really go at my own pace and almost gamified the learning process. I can honestly say that I found it both challenging and fun. At the same time it leads you through the learning in a logical way that I wouldn't have been able to sort out on my own.

To be honest, I did not believe in success and was sure that I would not be able to finish the lessons of the first week, because I thought it was mega difficult. I was wrong. I loved the Basics course! I had absolutely zero knowledge when I first signed up for the course, but I am feeling really excited to continue my coding education! I'm planning to sign up for SheCodes Pro! The course structure is easily digestible and the challenges after every lesson make it so easy to learn as you go!
I had zero experience with coding and it is all so much clearer to me now! There are some tough concepts to learn, but Matt does a great job explaining them. I also love that I can watch the videos as many times as I need. I am a teacher and will teach coding to my students this year now that I feel more comfortable helping my students if and when they get stuck with our own programs.
SheCodes Plus was a great experience. I really enjoyed the step-by-step videos showing how to make your code more functional and clear, as well as learning more about API and the GitHub workflow. I'm looking forward to taking the Pro and React courses next.

It's been great to step out of my comfort zone and trying something new! I use basic HTML and CSS properties with my job but I was surprised at how much more I learned. Its been hard to put aside time to work around my normal workload but it's been very enjoyable!

These workshops have been so much fun to go through and learn new things. It has been fun to let the creative side come out and to be challenged at the same time. When something goes "wrong", you have to problem solve to try and figure it out. If you still stuck then you have an amazing community to reach out to that can help you!
After almost 2 months of intensive work, I finally finished all the modules of SheCodes. I have learned so many new skills and I can say that I am proud of myself. React was something new and initially frightening for me, but I have done itβalmost 2 weeks of really intensive work. I created two projects on the program and one for me. I want to keep learning and create more projects that would assist me to transition to becoming a front-end developer. Thanks to the whole SheCodes team for all.

I work a full-time job so I'll admit I wasn't too sure about how much information I would be able to absorb with this workshop, but, I was able to get through some of the lessons daily and complete each week challenge with ease. I was genuinely surprised at how quick I picked up the basics! It felt really rewarding to clear each week and I am really excited to see what I learn next. Seeing the actual creativity behind coding also really opened my eyes to what it is, I had fun making cute pages.
I really enjoyed SheCodes React it really pushed me to try new things and use stuff learned in previous workshops in different ways.
As a person who has come to the United States to live here with absolutely no knowledge of the language, I would highly recommend this course to other people. Not only does it help move along my studies as a student learning the English language, but also as a student learning how to code. The closest I've come to coding was editing html back on myspace.. needless to say I barley understood what I was doing. Fast forward years later and today and I just completed the SheCodes Basics 3 week program and I am in awe of myself on what I was able to create in this short period of time. I really didn't know anything about what "tech" is and essentially didn't know what coding was until this workshop, and now in just three weeks I feel like I have a solid foundation to base my future knowledge upon. The way Matt breaks down the content really helped my understanding and helped me gain confidence to begin coding and allowed me to realize it is actually fun! Now I know this is something I want to continue pursuing. Based on how much I learned, the flexibility of the course, and the cost, I would highly recommend this program for beginners!

I do wish there was more coding with JavaScript prior to this course because I was not at the level I needed to be at before beginning React, but I was still able to work my way through the course. I completed the SheCodes React course and although the learning curve is steep, tutorials are clear and foundations from previous courses really show. Now that I've completed it, I feel confident enough to build projects on my own and pick up an extra language or 2. In this day and age a framework is really important, so I cannot recommend the React course enough!

SheCodes makes it easier to understand and practice code. I previously learned html/html5 and other coding languages through an app. While it was easy to understand, I never had the opportunity or even the right tools to practice and learn coding. No matter what style of learning you comprehend best; Matt teaches excellently to comprehend each point. Definitely worth the investment!

The SheCodes Basics Workshop has made coding a fun and easy skill to learn! I appreciate all of the lessons (and videos) that were created for this workshop. All of the steps were very clear throughout the lessons in each week.
I always thought coding would never be something I would be able to do, until I found SheCodes! I learn through seeing and doing, so having videos of Matt explaining what he's doing step by step was a huge help! I can now add my projects to my UI/UX portfolio, and apply my new understanding of coding to my work with developers.

What a fantastic course! I struggle to learn and focus on one thing for an extended period of time (autism/adhd) and Matt teaches in such a way that I am engaged and really enjoying myself. I was a complete beginner before SheCodes and just working in schools/admin. So I have learnt so much from SheCodes Plus and I can't wait to move into the next section and new project.

This was the most complex workshop but also the most interesting one. I've learned a great amount about react and I hope to continue learning and improving. The workshop includes two projects and I'm really happy that I managed to finish both!
In truth, I initially enrolled in the course (SheCodes Basics) with a lot of skepticism about the capacity for an asynchronous, online course platform to be able to teach me something functional, as well as any sort of prospective for me to be able to take this new skill and make something out of it (and even potentially branching out into a new/evolved career). While I know I still have loads to learn, knowing that coding is a growing language that even experts who have been doing so for years still study and work on to improve their skills/language, I have become hopeful that this is, indeed, a field that I can actually get into, and continue to learn, expand, and explore rather than feel "stuck" in. Matt is a phenomenal teacher. I loved the way the learning platform was designed and each activity was scaffolded and chunked into smaller bits and gradually building up to a bigger project. I also loved how the final project allowed us to create what we were passionate about. (I definitely spent way too much time - WAY more than necessary ;) - to make every detail and design the way I wanted: with both information and knowledge gained from Matt's lessons, as well as searching on google on my own for things I actually wanted more of). After doing my final project and recognizing all the more that I could learn, I have decided to continue to learn, and maybe delve into some of the other advanced workshops offered through the program. Very happy that I decided to sign up for this workshop. I love how helpful and convivial the SheCodes community is and very glad to be a part of it.
