This course was challenging at times but I am glad that I joined it. I have been able to learn about new things and have been able to implement what I have have learnt into my coding. I can't wait to start to next course!

Good course. Since I wanted to learn to code for the longest time I was really happy to have found SheCodes. I was motivated sometime frustrated but did my best and finish the SheCodes Basics. If you are thinking about it just do it!

A good way to learn some programming basics and see if you like it
This is a very cool workshop. I highly recommend it and I most definitely will continue on to the next SheCodes workshop. The lessons are very well structured and Matt is a very good instructor. I took an HTML course a while back but I was rusty because I hadn't used it in years. Now that has changed and all I can say is that re-learning HTML, CSS, and JS has been very enjoyable and it will certainly be of value to my career.
It is a super-cool course to learn responsive technologies! I am really happy that I have gone through it. I want to continue my coding journey and improve my portfolio website with React)

I have done a fair share of different jobs and studying courses, but nothing really stood out to me or had me hooked. However, I kept seeing adds for SheCodes constantly pop up on my phone, so I thought "why not, it won't hurt to try". I am a nurse who has always been interested in improving health outcomes through technology. My husband is a software engineer and I always assumed coding was over my head. I was so nervous to round the corners towards project submission time - instead of the manner of pacing and learning becoming intensive or convoluted, I was awash with relief to have maintained the relaxing step-by-step lesson structure and support. I feel more confident now than ever previous :) .

I find learning coding one of the greatest decisions that I made! SheCodes offers lessons and homework that are very well-organized and easy to follow. I had so much fun studying HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
So when I joined SheCodes I had no idea what coding is and how it works. However, as I was learning lesson by lesson I realized that it isn't that hard and after every challenge, I got a feeling of accomplishment. Very easy to follow and with a good balance of explanations and exercise, with the exercises having the exact right difficulty. When struggling, the community of fellow students in the digital tools makes it feel like you are not alone and you can get help whenever you get stuck. Succeeding is not an easy task. There was lots of new information as well as new challenges and to overcome any obstacle there was a nice and helpful staff. I really enjoyed my time working on this projectπ€ It was rather interesting and facsinating to learn how an app works on the inside and I'm thankful for this knowledge.

During the process of this course i went from someone who was completely terrified of React, to someone who feels confident writing React code. Matt's teachings are concise and very beginner friendly. I would 100% recommend to anyone who's learning react for the first time.

Matt's tutorials are not only thorough, but they're well-organized so that they build off of each other. Week 1 was all excitement as I realized that the HTML I learned 20 years ago in high school had still been bouncing around in my skull somehow. Adding CSS on top of it was a piece of cake, and the course lays everything out for you one step at a time. Week 2 was all JavaScript, which was brand new to me. There were times I got tangled in my own code during a challenge, but I was never frustrated because it was so simple to go through that week's threads and see if anyone else had similar problems in the past. If so, there were always helpful students and teachers ready to give solutions and help work out the issue. I came here from trying to trudge through Coursera's Google IT certification courses, but I was really struggling and kind of worried that maybe I wasn't quite 'smart enough' for a new career tech or something. However, based on how easily I adapted and absorbed the SheCodes training, I think it's just the different approach Matt brings, which is more visual learning (since he has his code in the video right in front of you so that you can pause it and follow along in your own session of VSCode,) in addition to the small challenges at the end of each lesson, which helps you practice and cement the coding you just learned. Aside from the videos, there are all kinds of learning/coder aids, such as cheat-sheets, color palettes, and CSS generators. Fantastic program. I'm so glad I took a chance from the beginning and signed up for SheCodes Pro. I'm ready to rock the rest of this program and have an exciting, fulfilling career. FINALLY! Thank you, Matt!
I have always been interested in learning how to code, but never started because it seemed very complicated. Thanks to SheCodes, I was able to learn the basics very easily now.

It's a very interesting and useful workshop, that learns how to build your own portfolio and how to make your site responsive. After ending these lessons, you can develop and modify sites for different mobile devices, so they will be looking good on different screen extensions.

This was one of my favorite courses so far! I loved to be able to create and design my own portfolio to showcase the work I've done so far. I enjoyed playing around with the endless possibilities of Bootstrap and CSS to make my portfolio as responsive as possible. And as always, Matt was very clear and helpful in the videos. I really enjoy this part! JS was tricky for me (and still is) but feeling when you get the cause and fix and create is amazing! I like that Matt slowly involve you for self research and you learn just to google some things to make your project better
I found it really stimulating and interesting to learn the basics of coding. I appreciate this initiative to target women and encourage them to get into the industry. Great and funny course! The videos were easy to follow. You can go at your own pace, and the challenges are significant to learn step by step. I had some knowledge of HTML but the Basics course helped me to put all the pieces together. Matt was reassuring and this didn't make me feel alone in my frustration. Plus, SheCodes has all the tools you need (the radio feature is awesome!)
