Joining She Codes completely transformed how I see myself in tech. What started as curiosity quickly turned into confidence and thanks to the supportive community and hands-on learning. I went from barely understanding HTML to building responsive websites and debugging with ease. Two of my projects pushed me outside my comfort zone and that’s exactly where the growth happened. Now, I don’t just code but I create, collaborate, and feel empowered every step of the way

Building this project entirely from scratch without relying on Bootstrap or any UI framework was challenging and incredibly rewarding. I dove deep into responsive design, hand-coding every layout, grid, and media query to ensure the site looks great on any screen. From crafting fluid CSS grids for image galleries to embedding custom Instagram layouts and fine-tuning typography, I learned how much control and flexibility you gain when you roll up your sleeves and write your own CSS. Seeing the site come together, fully responsive, visually consistent, and performant, gave me a huge boost of confidence in my front-end skills. This project pushed me to think critically about design patterns and taught me valuable lessons in maintainability and scalability. I’m proud of what I built and excited to apply these techniques in future web projects.

The introduction to back-end was pretty intimidating at first, however I truly enjoyed learning about the fundamentals of Python. It's actually become my favorite programming language so far. I'm looking forward to expanding my skills with Python AI and Python Advanced

This was a thrilling experience, I enjoyed myself. I joined SheCodes knowing absolutely nothing about coding and now I am glad I joined, Matt is a wonderful facilitator who made the material seem so easy and made learning fun. I love the fact that I was allowed a second chance to do better on my challenges as well as home works.

Working on the SheCodes World Clock project was such a rewarding and fun experience! It allowed me to apply new skills in JavaScript and Moment.js to create something both practical and interactive. I loved the challenge of integrating different timezones and the ability to personalize each city's clock, while also learning about how to handle timezone offsets and dynamically updating the UI. It was a great hands-on way to deepen my understanding of working with dates, times, and APIs. Plus, seeing the world clock come together in real-time as I selected different cities made the whole project feel incredibly rewarding. This project was an awesome blend of learning, problem-solving, and creativity!

I have learned so much while going through this course. It is very easy to follow, and it's broken into sections, so it's not overwhelming. I recommend anyone who would like to understand the basics of coding. I can't wait to start the next course.

React was really really challenging!! Despite having a solid foundation in vanilla JavaScript, react had me going through sleepless nights trying to code, fix codes, figure out what I am to do, or what I am doing wrong. Nonetheless, it has been the most rewarding workshop because I learnt a whole lot of new techniques - I was able to create components to structure and streamline codes in order to build powerful apps. I learnt how to build interactions using functions, closure and state-management. At the end of the workshop, I was able to build a sophisticated weather app using react, and then hosting my application online. Once more, I would like to thank Matt and the SheCodes team for the great workshop and timely support rendered throughout the process.

I was a bit scared to start this course because of all the scary stories I heard about people learning Python, but to my surprise, it was easy to follow along and understand. Matt is really good at explaining the code and teaches at a good pace. I can't wait to learn more about Python with SheCodes!

Initially, I was hesitant to start Python because I assumed it to be more difficult than front-end coding language. However, I think this is the most clearly laid out course so far. In particular, the #subtitling of different learning points with the instruction helps to organize the understanding of the code. I also think that key concepts like the api_keys and urls are better broken down than in the JS courses. The simplicity of the code and Matt make it very digestible.

Completing the SheCodes Responsive workshop was a transformative experience for me. I gained hands-on skills in building responsive websites using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and media queries, which has significantly boosted my confidence in frontend development. What stood out most was the teaching style, the instructor didn’t just walk through perfect code, but also made real mistakes live and talked us through fixing them. That honest, human approach made the learning process feel more approachable and helped me embrace debugging as a natural part of coding. I walked away from the workshop not only with new technical skills, but also with a mindset shift: mistakes are part of growth, and every bug is an opportunity to learn.

Definitely more challenging but you get all the support you need. There are so many more things that can be done and the project helps you explore all the different capabilities to be creative and learn more on using html, css and javascript. It was a wonderful and rewarding way to learn!
