I found the course very easy to follow and above all fun! SheCodes has helped me to gain more confidence. I started the course with ZERO knowledge of coding, and to think that in 3 weeks I've created a website landing page is absolutely crazy to me. Matt is an excellent teacher who goes through every step, but also surprises me with something new which gave me opportunity to learn something on my own. It was really easy to follow the courses through videos. The courses are built for you to learn how to code step by step even if you didn't know anything at all about coding before starting ! The fact that we have homework to do with deadline to respect keeps me motivated. Also the explanations are easy to understand. Would really recommend if you want the basic coding knowledge!
The third workshop i enrolled in. learned a lot about responive pages in different devices and so mush more.
SheCodes has been very fun to learn. I feel like there is no going wrong in learning about coding and especially in this manner. I have liked it so far, and I feel like everything that one is learning is tested in the challenges.
Once again very happy with this amazing course, I have learnt so much in a space of a few weeks. This one was challenging to say the least! But going through this project really got me to understand the importance of CSS grids and how they show up on mobile and desktop. What I learnt from this course I apply at my job when I am working with developers. SheCodes has made me a more technical UX designer as I learn front end development as well. I am able to discuss CSS changes with developers and provide technical feedback now all because of this lovely online school and community! SheCodes has not only made me a better developer, but a better Designer and people in my life have noticed! I would HIGHLY recommend SheCodes Responsive to any designer looking to get into coding because it is by far the most relevant course for designers I have ever seen. Even if they wont write a string of code at work, certainly knowing how to read it is important when working to build out a new feature or project and your coworkers will totally appreciate that you can design AND understand how they do what they do! It also is such a grounding experience has now you will understand how your design gets made so you can apply technical knowledge and know what can be feasibly made!
It was really nice to know a little bit of the basics of coding with SheCodesBasic, from here you are able to grow and learn more. After this it's easier to research new languages or get to know more about the ones they teach you.
After a few tries on my own, it was so hard to be consistent in learning how to code or not being anxious about what to learn next. Matt does a great job of explaining the topics and the way each week is set up has helped me to be consistent and learn exponentially. I enjoyed this course thoroughly and look forward to the next one!

SheCodes Basics Workshop was a challenging but informative and enjoyable journey. While I still feel I have a lot more to learn, I am much more familiar with the fundamentals of HTML, CSS and Javascript.

I'm really suprized. I didn't expect to learn anything really useful in this course but let me tell you I was wrong. I enjoyed every minute of learning the lessons and practicing . Matt is really a good teacher. He doesn't make things comlicated, and explains everything straight forward with a voice full of compassion. I've had so much fun doing every project and challenge! I'm glad I chose She Codes to learn how to code. It is step-by-step and easy to understand everything.
This is an excellent course that's structured to take you through the entire process of making an online weather app that really works! Going from the HTML/CSS framework, to making the app responsive and integrating the API to include live data, was a huge learning curve for me. Matt gave a thorough overview of how to communicate with and manipulate data from an API, opening up some exciting functionalities to include in the project.

Outstanding! I took a single coding course in college and it left me confused and dispirited. However, with SheCodes, Matt made every lesson enjoyable and educational. The assignments aligned with what we had just learned and encouraged us to learn something new! The course also provides a flexible learning schedule and a great environment! I was excited to add an extra project to my portfolio through the Basics Add-on, and I'm so glad I ended up learning so much through it! I had fun learning new techniques while building a web page that involved something I really enjoy. Mat explains each concept in ways that are easy to follow, while still allowing room for each person to add their own ideas and creativity to their design. SheCodes continues to keep me excited and curious about coding and building my confidence in these skills at the same time.

I have been trying to push myself to learn how to code. I have been intimidated to learn because it looks complicated and makes you not want to learn, but with SheCodes, I felt more confident. Yes, it is hard at first because everything is new, but it is straightforward to understand. Matt is extremely thorough in explaining. I enjoyed doing the challenges because they helped me understand where I am at and what I need to do to improve. I am glad that I took my first step into coding with SheCodes!
For my SheCodes Plus project, I built a more sophisticated weather application that pulls real-time data from a live API! This app allows users to search for any city worldwide and instantly see current weather conditions, including temperature, humidity, wind speed, and even a weather icon that changes dynamically. I also implemented a 5-day forecast feature, giving users a detailed outlook. This project challenged me to work with API integration, asynchronous JavaScript (async/await), and more complex DOM manipulation. I learned how to handle API responses, manage loading states, and create a seamless user experienceβall while ensuring the app remained fully responsive across devices. It was incredibly rewarding to take my coding skills to the next level and build something functional, practical, and interactive! It's been such an incredible journey getting to this point! This React workshop was challenging but with every step I took forward, I gained more and more confidence and proved to myself that I am capable. During the creation of my Final Project, everything I learned came together and really started to click. Thanks to the technical support team, I was also able to further challenge myself with a conditional weather background feature that changes based off the weather along with the color palette. It was a really cool experience to have success as I "went rogue" and tried to challenge myself to develop a more distinguished project. I'm proud of my accomplishments and highly recommend this workshop for people who are up for the challenge and want to learn about React Development!
The simplistic nature of coding and the steps given are easy to utilize. SLACK is AMAZING when you get stuck. Having a community to communicate your walls, that you will run into learning the language of coding, is extremely relieving. Im excited to see what opportunities lay before me with this knew knowledge and community to work with alongside this journey. If you are a beginner with no experience, it's truly simplistic Matt's approach. The videos can be sped up or slowed down also, which makes room for you to absorb all the information coming through. I've always had an interest in coding, and decided to take the leap into this course. I learned how creative and fun coding can be! The way the courses were laid out was flexible for my schedule and Matt provided good challenges for skills development.
SheCodes Responsive was quite clear, generally for me HTML and CSS are much more clear that Java Script. Again, everything is explained in very clear and systematical way. After this it would be good to make your own web page to test everything that has been learned. I also appreciate free web page templates that could be used for private purpose after this course.
This project is by far the most challenging project yet. I have learned new technical skills such as weather API and integrated them into the project. I would like to give a big shoutout to Matt, Paul, Lisa, JoΓ£o, Vlada, and Bruno for always answering my questions.
Well worth the time and money. I like hands-on learning, so having challenges at the end of each lesson was beneficial and fun. Looking forward to taking more classes. π₯³

A great addition to the skills learnt during SheCodes Basics course. The Basics Add-On course gave me the tools to take my existing coding skills to the next level, adding grids, transforms and other interactive elements which helped my final project come alive.
A great introduction to coding using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The videos and challenges work well together to reinforce what you learn and the weekly homework are fun and challenging reflecting the week's work.
As a marketer I spend a lot of time on content management systems but my knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript was limited. Doing this course has given me the confidence to communicate with outsourced developers, as well as independently find and fix bugs! I loved the way the lessons were broken down, with perfect opportunities to experiment and reinforce learning with challenges and solutions. The Slack community is also a big plus!
Learning how to code was one of my biggest concerns and also wishes. After only completing the Shecode basics, I already know a lot about coding. The courses are great and they're easy to learn.
