I'm so happy I signed up for SheCodes!!! I have been interested in learning how to code for a while, but I couldn't find a program that worked for me. Until SheCodes! The lessons are great, and the community is also amazing. I like that there are assignments due because, in the past, with programs that didn't have that, I would just stop doing it. SheCodes holds me accountable and helps me stay on track!
The SheCodes team's knowledge never fails to impress me. Honestly, I would not be able to complete this project without Matt, the slack community, and the SheCodes team help. After completing SheCodes Basics workshop, I felt accomplished and motivated to keep going. SheCodes Plus was really intense and a roller coaster of emotions, at the same time that I was happy with my progress, I was also panicking trying to find what was causing my code to break (it was misplaced dash btw). To me this workshop feels a lot more "professional", but just like SheCodes Basics, it was so easy to follow the lessons, and there is always someone to help if needed. The lessons are short and straightforward, you can watch as many times as you want and take breaks whenever you feel tired. I love the way you can just sit and learn, this entire workshop was really a privilege.
This course easy to follow and understandable which is fit for me as beginner. I highly recommended to everyone who want to learn Coding , HTML, Javascript and other courses. I can't wait to embrace my future as Web Developerπ©βπ».
There is so much more cool stuff to learn with the Basics Add On! I highly recommend this extra piece of the workshop.

Loved the flow of the additional project for the basic course. Figuring out the dark theme was a little tricky to switch back and forth but being able to code along with the videos always helps with the understanding and application of the code making it a seamless learning process. β€οΈ
I am so glad that I have the opportunity to study in the SheCodes project. I find the entire content to be very well-organized and easy to understand. I had some coding experiences before but this one was totally different. The team is amazing. It is very comforting and inspiring to have them ready to help all the time. You have access to other participants' projects and it's a wonderful opportunity to learn more. The community is active on Slack and it's growing constantly. Above all, I think the most valuable part of the project is the Delac Foundation which supports women in need all around the world. They offer their programs to a lot of women completely for free. I am grateful for every thing you do SheCodes, and I highly recommend you to everyone who feels a little spark inside for coding.

I have always loved to learn a profitable skill but was contemplating on which will best fit my passion and resources until I learnt about SheCodes basics. This course gave me a chance to have experience and familiarize myself with what coding entails. After embracing myself with the comprehensive explanations, assignments' and instructions given by Matt, I am most confident to embark on my coding journey to become a professional coder.
The best coding course ever that I attended! Thanks to SheCodes, I realized that i'm very interesting in coding and i need to imptove my skills and knowledge in order to find a job in the future. It was really exciting that I can really build a website using react. Actually, react was not easy to learn,but it simplifies some actions, processes so much, so i really enjoyed it :)
I enjoyed how easy it was to understand the assignments and the concepts. Providing me with the information and then allowing me to practice right after helped with learning the concepts.
The videos are very clear and user friendly making it so much easier to understand HTML, CSS and Javascript in under 3 weeks! The 'Homework' after most videos were a great way to put what we'd just learnt into practice.
It was an amazing experience learning with Shecodes. I did enjoy every bit of it!! Shecodes made coding easier and more fun.I was able to learn from home and to my own rhythm.

Learn coding in my spare time
Coding was always mainstream in my head. I didnβt have any knowledge or experience prior to this workshop. However, curiosity and inner calling prevailed. Itβs incredible how much you can learn in a short period of time, and havenβt even scratched the surface. Yes, it takes time, but I will tell you one thing, Iβm not stopping, I just started. π
I can't get over how much I have learnt, and that it all makes logical sense to me now. In the last few weeks it's been really clicking in and I am able to anticipate what Matt is about to suggest in videos. I really love learning on this course.
So interesting to learn about how to make a website responsive. I can't stop analysing all the websites I use on my phone now, thinking about how they could be improved!

The Responsive Add-on project is definitely not walking on a cake. It was super challenging. I am learning as well as having fun with codes. Thank you so much Matt and team for always pulling our hands when we are about to drown in frustration. The reiteration of codes in different projects is always giving me confidence to try new codes, fail, rectify until I succeed.

I had a lot of fun using the Weather API and creating a weather App. I have learned so much in a short space of time! Will defo try out other API's in the future and create other apps with them.
Great Workshop for Beginners like myself. It is easy to learn at my own pace, the video are clear and easy to follow. I was surprised how easy it can be, would recommend to all those who wants to learn how to code!
It was an amazing journey to learn designing an application from the beginning to end. Although this is not the end of my learning process, I loved coding with Matt and would totally recommend it to anyone eager to learn from a wonderful teacher.
This is the first time I've understood Javascript basics, practically. After getting my Bachelor's in Business Information Systems, I had taken a course or two in programming languages and it went right over my head. Not this time! I actually get it and I am excited to learn more!

Another project, done! I am very pleased with how much I am learning from SheCodes and how exciting it is when I submit another project. These add-on projects are perfect in allowing you to use a lot of what you have learned in the past to create something new.
I really enjoy the class, easy to learn and understand.
SheCodes Plus is a great experience for me. I learned a lot while working on weather forecasting project. It requires consistency and patience to complete the workshop and developing the project from scratch to a fully functional version of it. Matt has given great insights on planning, designing, development of a project and industry best practices. I also got to know about InVision freehand tool, Bootstrap framework, DevOps and How to continuously develop and deploy project using GitHub and Netlify. After completing SheCodes Plus I feel more confident in frontend web development and excited to learn more and improve my skills.
The Dictionary is very interesting to build, even more so for someone in love with languages, words and meanings! I liked learning to integrate the 2 APIs used in this project a lot. The moment when the console gets a response is magical!
I'm so glad I did the add-on! I feel like it really put me to the task with my knowledge from the previous workshop and I got to learn and try some new things, too! If you're a little unsure about doing the add-on, I'd recommend going for it because you have nothing to lose and so much to gain (like another portfolio piece and several new concepts in html, css, and java). I also leveraged the lessons to build final project with Matt throughout the add-on, so it's not a heap load of work after finishing the lessons.
Great extension of the Basic course, you get a chance to extend and further practice the knowledge learnt from the Basics course whilst also learning new methods.
I used to love playing with HTML on my MySpace page many years ago and this course has reignited my passion for it! I can't wait to learn more.

Building an application in React was as fun as it was challenging, but I learned a lot. The code can be a lot more sophisticated then it seems and the use of logic is so much more prominent. I enjoyed this workshop as much as those before React.

I've learned so much throughout this workshop. When I started at SheCodes my thoughts were that I would like to gain some basic knowledge in the field, just for fun - now I can't get enough of coding. The workshop was a great mixture of guidance and simple trial and error. I'm starting to feel like I can find solutions to my problems independently now, which is a great feeling. Can't wait to continue the journey π
I really enjoyed this course and building the weather application was a great learning experience. The more time I spent with the demo material and also troubleshooting on my own, the easier I found the concepts to understand. When my code didn't work as expected, I really enjoyed diving in to problem solve independently before looking elsewhere for the solution, and this course helped grow my confidence to do so! I am excited to learn more :)

I've always wanted to formally learn coding because my career has required me to edit it for various reasons (websites, newsletters, widgets, etc). I was getting by with limited knowledge, hunches, and the mundane cycle of trial and error. I thought taking a course would be too hard, especially while I work. I was so wrong. Coding is fun and the knowledge I gained will serve me in my current and future roles! If you're on the fenceβdo it scared!

It was a very interesting project. I definitely learned a lot of new things.
It has been so helpful to be able to learn coding on my own time by watching Matt's thorough tutorial videos. A big part of what makes this course very helpful as well is the Slack community. Being able to see similar issues others face and seeing solutions is a big help when I would get stuck. I'm a UI/UX Designer, so I don't need to create code in my job, but this course has made it much easier for me to talk with developers and I am now more comfortable exploring code in inspect mode in order to find things out myself. Learning coding makes you think more logical, and brings you into a different way of communicating, receiving and putting out information and commands, in order to achieve the end goal. I find the course challenging but satisfying, making me egger to move on to the next task. You have slack, where you can meet other women from all over the world, that are experiencing the same as you. Really enjoying the course. This is the first internet course that has ever court, my attention, and i am happy I joined up.
