This was a great and effective way to learn how to build a responsive website and become more fluent in bootstrap.
I have learned more in 4 weeks than what I learned trying to teach myself coding for 6 months.
This workshop was more challenging, but worth it. I feel like I learned more and there were more detailed concepts on this project.
The SheCodes Plus workshop was challenging and so interesting. I am happy that over the weeks, my project has come to life. I learned how to build a website from scratch, make it interactive and publish it on the web. The lessons are very structured, easy to follow and understand. Thank you to the SheCodes team for your help when I had questions and for creating a workshop so easy to follow, even for people with no coding background like me. I started the workshop with zero coding experience, and I learnt so much. Matt explains everything in a very clear way, the videos and challenges are so well organised that makes it feel very easy and not overwhelming at all. I would definitely recommend it.
I've learned so much over the past couple of months with SheCodes. This course was so fun! It really built on my existing HTML knowledge and was a great start to learning CSS and Javascript. The final project was my favorite because you got to pick any topic you wanted to focus on.
I recently finished the workshop where I learned how to develop a Dictionary app using React and 2 different APIs. While I found React to be challenging at first, with practice and persistence, I was able to create a functional app. We learned how to integrate 2 APIs (one for word definitions and another for photographs) into the app and how to display the results in a user-friendly way. One thing I appreciated about the workshop was that the instructor provided us with all the code we needed to follow along, but also encouraged us to customize the app and make it our own. Overall, the workshop was informative, and challenging, providing valuable hands-on experience.

I am so happy that I could participate in this course. With the learnings of this course, I am able to get a better view of what is happening on websites and use these learnings to develop my work. I realized how much I am interested in programming and creating and I am sure that I will continue this profession and knowledge.

The React Dictionary project was my favorite. Great final project building on everything we have learned and practicing further React skills as well as gaining experience with connecting multiple APIs.
Working in the tech industry made me notice that we often tend to not bother about taking courses to refresh our knowledge about the things we think we already know. I am so glad I took that bold step of taking the SheCodes Basic course after 1 year of working as a Software Engineer. This was a very inclusive and useful course, I thoroughly learned how to use HMTL, CSS and Java Script in order to design websites and I definitely recommend this course to other students and learners out there as it was extremely helpful and comprehensive.

I am so excited to finish my SheCodes Plus certification. By far my favorite project to add to my portfolio! JavaScript was more fun and complex than I originally thought going in to this course. I learned that my passion for coding is expanding; I continually think of improving my code throughout the day and understand that I can solve most of my problems if I take a moment to refresh my thoughts. Falling into the routine of coding everyday motivates me to continue to grow my skills and knowledge. That being said on to the next project!

I had zero experience coding but the Basics workshop was a great way to begin learning and to try out whether or not coding would be something to continue learning. The lessons are broken down in a way that makes it easy to follow along and if you get stuck you have resources to help you out as you learn.
I've just finished SheCodes Basics and have learned so much in a short amount of time. Matt is a great teacher and does a good job at simplifying the more complex topics. I'm in a computer programming certificate program at a local university, but feel that I've learned more in just three weeks participating in SheCodes than I have in most of my university courses so far. With the SheCodes workshops, I truly believe ANYONE can not only learn to code, but can excel in the CS field.
I was always scared when I heard people say coding was tough, but thanks to Matt he made it so easy to learn.
This is my fourth SheCodes workshop, and my learning curve has been incredibly steep. I started out with zero knowledge, and SheCodes has given me tons of knowledge and more confidence. SheCodes has given me the confidence to play with code and explore existing libraries and frameworks. The React workshop was terrific; it tied together everything I've learned and pushed me to challenge myself. The instructor is incredibly resourceful and talented and explains things in a simple-to-understand and unique way. The Slack team is ready to answer any question 24/7, and there is a massive community of women with the same goals and ambitions. I cannot recommend these workshops enough!

When I first started my journey, I was intimidated and overwhelmed by the vast amount of information and complex concepts that I needed to learn. I remember the feeling of accomplishment I had when I wrote my first few lines of code, and I still get that same rush of excitement every time I create something new. Shecodes have motivated me naturally to complete my very first project from start to end! Usually online learning is difficult to complete due to limited self-discipline, and lack of motivation. However, the pace that the lecture is taught at, and the hands-on method works well for me. I really enjoyed the homework and the challenges.

I would highly recommend SheCodes to anybody who would like to learn how to code, especially if you don't have any previous experience(s) with coding! I studied something completely different in Uni, but wanted to be able to transfer the passion that I have for creativity in my free time (in the future) into my 9-5 as well. I also wanted something that would continue to challenge my brain on a daily basis. After some internet searches I came across SheCodes and decided to take the free intro-to-coding class from Matt. I was hesitant at first since I had no prior experience to coding, but as soon as Matt said that you don't need prior experience and that anyone can learn how to code, I decided that it was worth giving it a try. It did not disappoint! I'm so happy that I followed the Basics course; I learned so much in 3 weeks and Matt's explanation videos were pretty easy to follow and also very helpful. At times it can get a bit frustrating when there are mistakes in your code that you're struggling to find and correct, but fear not! By retracing your steps or asking for help on Slack you will eventually figure it out and it will all be worth it! I'm exited to continue learning and can't wait to sign up for SheCodes Plus. 10/10

I loved learning at SheCodes, the course was challenging at first but overtime it got very interesting. In a short span of time, I gained significant knowledge and skills that have equipped me to tackle real-world coding challenges. The course was intense, but it was well worth the effort.
This was one of the best investements I have made for myself! Super proud of everything I have learned, it was really eye-opening to see for myself how all web pages are built, I mean we use them everyday so I enjoyed building some! The course is written in an easy to follow order, very understandable especially for a complete beginner like me, it's very easy to jump from a lesson to another and feel like you are learning so much. I loved having a community of individuals who are starting on the same path and I loved having the support from the team, it helped massively when I didn't know something or I was stuck! Will defintely sign up for the next one, as soon as I will be able to afford it!

I extended my knowledge of HTML/CSS and Bootstrap. Following that I learned how to call APIs and update my webpage automatically using JavaScript. It was convenient to be able to track my changes using GitHub and deploy my project using Netlify.
It's the best place to learn how to code using React.
The SheCodes Basics Workshop exceeded all of my expectations. It was straightforward and easy to follow which made it a lot more enjoyable when learning. I had no previous knowledge or experience before starting the workshop but it gave me the confidence to pursue coding further. The challenges and weekly homework helped to cement what I had learned throughout the week which really paid off when doing my final project. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to start coding but doesn't know where to start!
This is a great program for beginners who learn well following video instruction.
I found the assignments in this workshop to be very helpful in learning the content. The challenges were at just the right level difficult to help you extend your learning of the material without you feeling discouraged at any point.

I am on a path toward learning UX Design, but was too interested in the coding aspect of tech AND the ethics and structure of this particular workshop! I gave it a go after a lot of thought, and while I've "only" learned the basics, I am ending the workshop feeling accomplished and open to learning much more, especially from SheCodes, but self-learning must be continued after this!! I planned to start SheCodes Max as soon as possible because I have a lot of faith that it will teach me valuable hard skills for development, but considering I am pursuing UX, I'll be holding off on Max to focus on UX Design specifically. However, thanks to Matt's great communication, I have assurance that I will be able to afford Max with the discount that was offered, when I am ready to take it on.
I have just completed my Basics workshop. and I have to say so far .. coding isn't as scary as I thought that it would be. Coming into this as someone who doesn't have a technology background or knowledge in the field and Never tried coding before. The classes were quick, easy, simple to understand and complete. For what you may have needed more help to do, you have a built in community who willing to help, explain and guide you through the process of self-learning. So that - YOU- get completely comfortable knowing and understanding what you are doing and why you do it. The classes are pre -recorded so you can complete the challenges at your own pace. At the very beginning I was nervous, but after my first challenge I stepped away from it and realised "Hey! I just coded something!" and it gave me a real sense of accomplishment. If you have been thinking of Coding for awhile but have been putting it off (like I did). I would completely suggest not to hesitate and Just Do It ! you won't regret it.

Coming to the end of Shecodes Plus and building a weather app for my final project wasn't easy but it was definitely worth it. Shecodes has been phenomenal in the style of teaching and the wealth of resources made available to support women learn how to code. I never could have learnt coding if it wasn't for Shecodes. So I would recommend it over and over again to any woman out there who has access to a laptop and who would like to learn how to code.
Yay! I just completed the SheCodes responsive workshop. I learned a lot about responsive web design and CSS flexbox, and I also enjoyed the process of creating my portfolio website. I'm looking forward to learning more at the upcoming workshop.

Passed the next stage of training in SheCodes. Needless to say, it was not very easy. It was a real challenge for me. In addition to learning to code, I improve my level of English). It's good that Matt did not cut out his mistakes in the training video, but left options for correcting them in the video lessons. It added life into the video, made learning easier. It's great that there is freedom of choice, creativity, there are no certain limits. Thanks again for the opportunity to learn!

The SheCodes plus workshop has been a lovely learning experience! Challenging at times, but always fun. I've really enjoyed working on my project which definitely is more comprehensive compared to the Introductory Workshop project.
