The weather app project was a real challenge and also very interesting as we applied all that we have learned so far !
I was able to advance my skills by enrolling in the SheCodes Fundamentals program as a marketing specialist. In addition, the training gave me a foundational understanding of JavaScript, which helped me along my learning curve for Servicenow's low-code framework.
I really enjoyed learning in SheCodes. Everything is very accessible. I have an elementary level of English, but thanks to Matt and the video lesson, I was able to understand everything.

This responsive course is an eye-opening course! It has leveraged my website-building technique and consolidated my knowledge in Frontend and bootstrap. I love the pace of each teaching video, suitable for any type of learner. Small progress each time could definitely motivate me to work on my project step by step and make the whole learning in responsive much easier!
This has been such a great course, I have learnt so much in the last couple of weeks. Going from no knowledge to completing a project. The lessons are easy to follow and very logical. There is alwasy help on hand if you get stuck and it's great to be able to see the probles that other people run into as well which helps you identify issues in your own code. Great community and it has been very rewarding completeing the project!

In a nutshell: hard to grasp at first but so much fun!! Building a weather app in React was definitely a steep learning curve, but I really enjoyed the process and I was happy with how my project turned out. It is such a useful tool and I'm looking forward to the React add-on so that I can practice some more.
Loved working on this weather app. Everytime I learn something new I first think "how will I remember all this?!" but then a few days later it comes natural and I think the same thing about another new thing. It's a learning process haha.
Best online class ever! I have learned so many advance techniques in this workshop and I will be able to use them in real life projects!
I did it again!! Learning a new skill can be difficult but rewarding. I was hard on myself during these past 8 weeks, trying to push myself to the point I was lacking food and sleep. I had to remind myself that it's okay to take a break, refresh and start again, especially when my code has errors. By clearing my head I was able to take another approach and found the solution. So, it's okay to take a break but giving up is not an option for me. Thanks to Matt and his team for providing so much support during this time.

It is easy and fun to learn coding with SheCodes. I do recommend it to those who want to start their path in coding.
The course was to a certain extent useful and I learned something new. A lot of technologies were covered, videos were short but informative that allowed me not to lose concentration. Also I liked the idea with the cheat sheets available on the web site. At the same time, Iβd like to mention the following drawbacks: - there is a gap between the course program and the course content itself, which led me to hope for more than was actually given. For instance, βSheCodes Plusβ program mentions βAdvanced Javascriptβ, while in practice we only scratched the surface. - I had a feeling that some information was repeated again and again instead of new topics being covered. - homework feedback provided was hardly useful: βYour solution is valid! Good jobβ is not an informative one. I would rather want to hear more on practices I used and my code style. - given all of the above, I believe the course is a bit overpriced
Really enjoyed this course - it is fairly hard, and doing some extra Youtube or Free Code Camp alongside really helps the learning - it took me a bit longer than normal, but Matt re-covers things we had done in the past which was really helpful. Personally, I think it would be great if Matt added in how to handle the temp change, just so we know how to do it in the most efficient way possible
I went from knowing nothing to learning a brand new language within WEEKS. I absolutely appreciated being able to do it within my time availability. Everyone in the community was super helpful! Thank you so much !

I am so excited about this course! I enjoyed every lesson. I really liked the structure: first you learn all the different parts you need for the final project and then you start building the weather app again from scratch. As a result, you practice everything at least twice, which ensures you remember everything better.
Within these three weeks, I've had a wonderful learning experience using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. There are some properties and syntax that I have missed, but this journey has helped me learn new skills in addition to refreshing my memory of others. I appreciate everything.
Matt's teaching style is exceptional. He has a unique ability to break down complex coding concepts into simple and understandable terms. His clear and concise explanations allow learners to grasp new concepts quickly and efficiently. I have a bit of background in coding but I learned more here in SheCodes than when I was doing this professionally. The lessons are very well paced and the explanations are not lengthy - the Instructor, Matt, goes straight to the point, which I really appreciate. He also does it in a way that's easily understandable. I also like how the exercises are not super serious where it can get intimidating. Rather, it's fun and there's a whole community out there that's willing to help you if you're stuck.
I have just started to learn coding, after a long time of hesitation. A little bit afraid, thinking that would be too hard or too difficult to learn. Happy to say after few weeks of making the first steps in coding together with SheCodes, that Mat is making everything to seem so easy. I am now so willing to learn more and more!

Overall, the workshop was really good and I learned a lot of new things. I have to admit though, there were times when I found myself getting a bit bored, but that's probably because responsive web development isn't the most exciting topic out there. :) Still, I would definitely recommend the workshop to anyone looking to expand their knowledge in this area.
The course definitely took more attention and time than the Basics course, but worth it for the product that was created. I learned so much about JS through this process and look forward to continuing my education with SheCodes.

This workshop was more challenging than the previous one however when I reflect on the journey, I realised that I learnt so much. Building a weather app is not easy therefore I appreciate the amount of guidance each video provided to help with my understanding. This makes me proud of my progress and the fact that I was able to build a weather app (using real data) from scratch!

This workshop was a great addition to my learning on web development. It included really insightful lessons and advice for web content creation. Also, the final project of a portfolio website means I can show the skills I have learnt and begin to showcase my new work! Each week is a challenge but in an enjoyable and engaging way, I would definitely recommend SheCodes!
This is the first time I was being introduced to Node.js and React.js. My goal was to rebuild the Vanilla Javascript Weather App to a React app. I needed to refactor my codes into different components, in a way that they would appear clearer, but still maintain the same, or even better performance. I was introduced to useState and useEffect, which are confusing at first, but so powerful. Overall, I understand why React.js is used by most developers thanks to its effectiveness, and this is a must-learn as a front-end developer.
Such a great workshop! I learned how to do so many more sophisticated things with CSS and I had a lot of fun building the final project. π₯³

The SheCodes Plus workshop was definitely a step up highlighting advanced HTML, CSS and JavaScript challenges. It was super cool and satisfying to learn how to create a search engine, integrate APIs and host a website using the Netlify platform.
