Our instructor, Matt, also allows us to learn from our mistakes and get into the practice of breaking down and inspecting code, so we gain as much understanding as possible. 100% recommend to ANY busy mother or woman who wants to jump into tech!

This course was easy to follow and allowed you to expand and have moments where it helps you to expand your knowledge but helping you to search and figure out problems, like in the real world. I enjoyed and learnt so much.
The course was a wonderful insight in to the world of coding for a complete novice such as myself. I felt it provided a great platform in to what coding is about and although it was overwhelming at first I thoroughly enjoyed it! If you are thinking about enrolling on to the course and haven't yet done it because you are unsure, please do give it a go as I learnt so much and had a lot of fun at the same time.
It was a great opportunity to learn what coding is all about. It's not scary as I thought. SheCodes stood out from other online coding classes because of scheduled weekly classes, mini projects and deadlines. It forced myself to study even after work and I was proud of it. I came into the course with absolutely no knowledge or experience of coding. The first week was a bit overwhelming (as Matt predicted), but I am amazed by how much I learned and how much I was able to accomplish (through a lot of trial and error) in three weeks. The course is very well-organized, and the support of the SheCodes team very timely and effective. Initially, I did not believe that I would experience coding as a creative process. I was wrong.

Thanks SheCodes Plus and the SheCodes team! I have learned so much during such a short period of time. I couldn't really stop coding and finished the course much earlier than planned π After only the first two course weeks with CSS, HTML and Bootstrap I had the confidence to start building my own website as a side project. And then, building the weather app was a real challenge. But it was fun and I have really come to understand the huge potential of JavaScript and API:s. I'm looking forward to SheCodes Responsive!
I learned a lot about making websites through this workshop. I had not realized how much work it really is! But I had a lot of fun, some frustration, but at the end of the day, everything works out and it brings a lot of joy.

I have had so much enjoyable time learning react with SheCodes; I had tried to learn react with Youtube videos, spent months on them, not much of a progress or a good foundation I could get...and here, thanks to Matt and SheCodes Team, in nearly 2 weeks I could understand everything! Loved that we built the same app that we completed with J.S.; this way the differences got noticeable!
A great, challenging course! Matt is an excellent teacher - the material was concise and easy to understand. I loved how well-structured the course is and the focus on practical/hands-on experience. It also helped that the course is self-paced and very flexible. It was fun building a webpage and learning in a supportive community. The Slack thread helped a lot. I don't think I would have had the motivation and guidance to learn coding by myself, so I highly recommend this course.
A well thought-out, deeper dive into HTML, CSS and JS. Lots of new and advanced information is given throughout this course. The advancement between this course and the previous is quite large, and most weeks you walk away feeling like you have learnt a lot of new things. The final project was fun to execute and learn!
I never imagined I would be able to code the way I can now that I finished the course! I can't wait to keep learning more and hopefully start a career in the field. I love the methodology from SheCodes because it made me learn so much without even noticing it, everything is so simple, it's really surprising.

SheCodes has been the best coding program! It's a 10/10 for me. In only three weeks I have learned so much information, but it never felt overwhelming since all the projects are fun and engaging! SheCodes.io is a great refresher course. I have been a Web Designer for 8+plus years and wanted to learn more JavaScipt and get better in programming.
I have achieved so much with this course already. It has certainly been challenging but I have really enjoyed learning. The videos are easy to follow and the online community have been a great support.
The Responsive Add-On workshop was really interesting. It was really fun to learn how to build a responsive website using just pure HTML and CSS.
It was very convenient for me, I'm a teacher with a very tight schedule and even so i was able to take the time and learn how to build a simple website!

I signed up for SheCodes Basics and I was immediately hooked! I'd always thought coding was so difficult and I'd need to be really good at math (I suck at math), but the workshop busted those myths. I appreciated that each lesson was bite-sized - it kept me wanting to learn more, without being overwhelmed. SheCodes is definitely a resource that I could see myself coming back to over and over again. After taking the SheCodes Free Coding Class, I knew right away that this is the place to begin my coding journey. After finishing the SheCodes Basics, I feel that I have learned enough to get comfortable with the subject and start challenging my skills.

This course was exciting! The best thing is that in the end, you'll be able to build your own weather app. Also, I've learned a lot of great and new things. I liked that all videos were easy to understand and had exciting homework assignments. I especially enjoyed working with API. So I highly recommend joining this course!
It was great to learn some more techniques in order to improve my code and make it simpler. It is really amazing how smart code can be when building sophisticated interfaces - like the ones I have been learning during this add-on course.

The SheCodes Plus was really challenging but I find this method really good with all the litlle challenges after each lesson. It worked really well for me, I think it's the way to go. I certainly learned a lot, but I also feel there's a lot to learn ahead.

I initially started to learn how to code through another company and was extremely put off, I was ready to quit learning and put my aspirations of learning how to code to the side until I found SheCodes. The style of learning will suit anyone - even those who haven't studied for a while or feel they are more 'creative' than academic. I really feel that I can have a place in the world of coding now and it's not just for the I.T crowd! This course has been challenging, but it's been a lot of fun and the resources and the support from SheCodes have been brilliant π€© Whenever I've had a question I could either find the answer in the SheCodes Slack channels, or ask them in Slack myself and I'd get an answer very quickly. With the tools we're given, I was also able to experiment a little with my code. I'm a graphic designer, and I wanted to design my own weather icons for the weather app we needed to create. The people at SheCodes had no problem with that, and I managed to include them and I'm so chuffed with the results! If anyone out there is keen to take this course but you can't quite decide; you'll learn so many tools and techniques and you'll be amazed by what you're able to create at the end! I was nervous too, but now I'm so glad I did it!! Plus, you have a lifetime access to the lessons so what you learn will never go out-of-date, as they update their lessons to reflect any new techniques, updated software, etc.
It was definitely a great learning experience!
This project made me super confident to go through the JavaScript functions and looking for some other ideas to make and use the things which I learned within this course. It was super fun and I did never get bored among learning. Thank you Matt for your different teaching method, it is fabulous.

I've been introduced to HTML and CSS before I started the workshop but I really enjoyed the lessons! They're short but they have everything you need to know about the basics of building a website. For the Javascript part, I also enjoyed it a lot! A lil bit complex at the beginning, but thanks to Matt for explaining everything so well. So excited to continue learning :))

I've really enjoyed learning the basics of coding and feels great to be able to create a simple project at the end of it. The courses were well-explained, and I was able to handle the work load with a very busy schedule. Looking forward to the more advanced courses soon!
With more practice through these lessons, challenges, and projects, I am feeling much more confident and comfortable coding. When I first started with SheCodes, everything was completely foreign to me, I was learning a new language. At this point, although still a challenge, it feels more familiar as I learn and absorb all these new skills. I am excited to move on SheCodes Reactive.
Coming from a nontechnical background, Shecodes has been a great starting point for me. They have made learning code less intimating and easy to understand. They have also assisted with growing my portfolio with the projects and assignments we completed through out the workshop.
I heard about SheCodes from a friend and was debating on whether or not to give it a try. I'm glad that I did because I learned valuable, new information and I found Matt's way of teaching easy to understand! I would recommend this program to anyone who is afraid of taking that first step!
This part of the learning process (responsive) made me really excited about what could be a future career. I look forward to learn more and more so I can say this is what I do for work! I just love the creativity, I also look forward to go deeper into what is possible with JS!

I have always been fascinated about coding , But either never had the time, thought it was impossible to learn at a short period or that it was time consuming. However to my greatest surprise when I heard about sheCodes from a tictoker, I enrolled immediately with the little money I had not knowing there was "Delac Foundation" which I applied and my application was approved currently on the waiting list. I have gone ahead to finish the sheCodes basics and I am happy to have finished my project. though it wasn't an easy task juggling work and been a single mum but thank-God I did not give up. I will always recommend sheCodes to everywoman I know. Thankyou matt for making coding easy.π€

I have really enjoyed the Basic path and can only recommend it. Prior to joining the bootcamp, I already had a little HTML/CSS knowledge but had never had the opportunity to really use it toward something concrete. I enjoyed learning about Javascript and I honestly can't wait to jump to SheCodes + and learn more about it. SheCodes has figured out the right mix of 1. guided lessons and 2. freedom to explore and work on your skills on your own. The final project was super cool!
