SheCodes Basics was such an excellent intensive introduction to the world of Coding! In 3 weeks I have learnt the basics of HTML, CSS & Javascript. The more challenges I solve, I find myself grasping the concepts quicker! I am excited for what is to come. The community was super helpful with tips & solutions whenever I got stuck doing a challenge and I'm super grateful to be walking this journey!
I started to fell more confident with my coding skills. I cannot wait to start learning React and keep coding! It's really hard to choose a new career path when you are not so young anymore (let's keep the numbers unspoken π) and Shecodes is making my path so much smoother. Thanks Shecodes team! π

This workshop went through the basics of html, css, and Javascript in an extremely digestible and well-paced way. I now have the confidence and motivation to further pursue learning how to code. I came into this with 0 knowledge of coding, and can now have conversations with my friends who are software engineers and can relate to what they are saying!! I loved this course.

As a complete beginner with no prior knowledge in coding, I was initially intimidated by the thought of learning how to code. However, the course I took was designed in a way that made it easy to understand even for someone with no background in coding. The lessons were well-structured and the instructors were very patient in explaining the concepts. The course started with the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and gradually built upon that foundation, allowing me to gradually gain confidence in my abilities. The course also provided plenty of hands-on exercises and projects, which helped me to apply what I had learned and solidify my understanding. Overall, the course was a great introduction to the world of coding and I feel much more comfortable diving deeper into coding.
I have throughly enjoyed doing my projects with SheCodes. The videos are great and easy to understand, the challenges are a good way to learn the skills taught in the video. The help through slack has been very helpful too.

One of the best decisions I've made was joining SheCodes. The experience has been a great introduction to coding for me as I've never done this before. Building this weather app was a great journey. I learned a lot, I made mistakes, and in the end, I am very proud of what I've built thanks to SheCodes, I am looking forward to continue my lessons on React and Responsive.

The first time coding was brought to my attention, I thought to myself that it was going to be extremely difficult. Since, I am a person who loves a challenge, I went for it. When I decided to use SheCodes as my learning platform, I was nervous. But, after the first lesson, I knew I made the right decision. Matt's teaching style is definitely very clear to understand and follow. Especially for individuals who have never seen coding before. In the 2nd week, I started to doubt if I could really do this or not. And this was because I caught myself getting stuck on challenges. I started to feel intimidated. After reaching out for help from other students and SheCodes staff, I gained my confidence and excitement back. Coding so far is fun and very interesting. After completing SheCode's basic workshop, I know without a doubt coding is for me. I look forward to learning more programming languages, techniques, and skills with SheCodes!!
The add-on projects are a fun way to refresh what I learned in the original workshops while still building my portfolio.
I loved how SheCodes had short videos that didn't feel overwhelming and you could watch at your own time. There is always help available when you need it but I think when your code is not working and giving you the result you want, trying to figure out what is wrong helps you learn better! Matt is a great instructor that makes coding really fun and exciting. Would definitely recommend this course!

SheCodes basics was a good way to revise the few things I had learned here and there with HTML, CSS, and Javascript. It solidified my basics and I learned new things too. The videos are clear and easy to follow, and it gives me a lot of motivation to continue learning. The deadline given for every homework is a really good way to stay motivated!

The SheCodes basic course gave me confidence that I could excel in a programming course. The course has a good structure, with videos, explanation and exercise, so you can put everything you learn into practice. The team ia always quick to help and answer your questions, which make the learning process much more enjoyable and easy.
I came into this program knowing nothing about coding and was scared I wasn't going to understand any of it. The more I practiced and the more research I did the more I understood what I was doing. The lessons explain the languages we learned very clearly, Matt does a great job in explaining each lesson. I'm excited for this career path I'm taking and can't wait to start with the other workshops and build on my coding skills.
This was a super cool experience! I always found it difficult to learn CSS and JavaScript, and SheCodes made it straightforward to learn.
SheCodes makes learning really fun with a great balance of theory, practicals and code-a-long videos. I've found that the structure of the lessons has helped me to pick up concepts quickly and you do feel you have achieved something each week with the homework tasks. I've also picked up lots of tools and tips that aren't necessarily taught in other self-learning platforms I've tried.
When I showed a friend my project, asking for feedback, she dropped her jaw and said "I never imagined that I would know someone capable of doing these things, for me it's something out of a movie!" - and this is exactly how I feel. I never thought I would be able to learn to build something so complex in such little time... and it's just the start!
I am excited to be continuing my SheCodes journey and can't wait to learn more things to help improve my portfolio.
I learned a lot of really cool things in this course. The lessons are easy to follow and very informative along with the challenges. Its great to be able to practice after the information you've been given. Of course it can be frustrating at times but the satisfaction and happiness you feel after you finally figure it out is so liberating. When I first saw SheCodes I was immediately curious. The fact that it is focused in women was of particular importance to me. I tried the Basics workshop and managed to do it all in 1 week, even working full-time during the week. In this short period, I feel I learned the basics of building a webpage and was super invested in the final project. Now I am super looking forward to the next phase.
The course is very interesting and full of information. Most importantly, from the technical side, how much new, interesting and useful I have learned and already know how to do! And it's all thanks to SheCodes Responsive. The Responsive skill is perfectly formed.

Because of how Matt explains everything in the videos and the tips he gives us throughout, I am feeling more and more comfortable with coding. I feel like I am learning to write code and things about what the market expects from a developer.

SheCodes just changed my life for the better. I am a former secondary teacher who has pivoted into the tech world. However, I knew I desired to further my tech skills and make myself competitive in the technology industry. The perfect add on to the Basics course! I completed the Basics course about a year ago and through simply reviewing the videos and following along with the code I had already built, it was super easy to jump into this Add-On course. You learn new content that builds on the content from the Basics course that isn't super overwhelming and Matt does a great job breaking down each line of code, step by step so that you are able to follow along while manipulating your own code. can't wait to start my next course!
