This workshop is really well-structured: it helps you understanding the basics of coding step-by-step, giving you all the relevant information and essential resources to create your project. As a new learner, I really enjoyed every part of this course and I'm really glad I took the time to enroll and study something that, for me, was a completely unknown subject.

This was an awesome experience! I learned a lot in a very short time and now I can't wait to see what's next. For sure I want to keep learning and being able to improve my coding skills. I absolutely loved this course! I think this course offers the perfect amount of theory and practice to get you inspired and motivated to learn to code and do the exercises. I have tried to learn html in the past but always abandoned as it seemed too complicated for me. And in just 3 weeks it gave me the confidence to build a simple website with html, css and Javascript.
I have just completed my week 1-3 I have been enjoying SheCodes a lot. I have learnt so many amazing things in just my first few weeks. I really enjoy the quick response from the SheCodes team if I have any questions, the lecture videos are easy to navigate and watch as they are very short. I am very excited for my further journey on sheCodes.
The SheCodes React workshop added on to the skills and knowledge that I learned with the previous workshops. It was more challenging but once again, Matt did a great job at explaining and going through all the knowledge on how to code a website app in React. I am glad to have taken the SheCodes workshops and recommend it to anyone regardless of experience in coding.

My experience with the SheCodes Workshops has been amazing! I love that we get to work on real world projects and build a portfolio. I have had so much fun coding the weather app and getting to be creative with the styling and the different tools we've learned.
Its amazing how i always felt coding was so complex and probably something i would not have much interest in. December 2022 i decided to challenge myself into doing something outside of my comfort zone from a career perspective in 2023! Fast forward to February 2023 I am graduating for the SheCodes Basics course. I am confident enrolling for SheCodes was the best decision ever! Matts bite sized teaching strategy helped to keep me focused. I also appreciated the challenges that came with each lesson as they helped test my understanding in a practical way. The SheCodes Responsive Workshop expanded on the importance of mobile responsiveness for web development. As Matt mentions during the course, creating a responsive website can be challenging, albeit rewarding in the end! This workshop delved into the concept of Flexbox and how to utilise it, a tool I was unfamiliar with. Overall, I am very satisfied with my progress during this journey! I look forward to learning React and all other topics the next workshop has to offer!
I really enjoyed SheCodes Basics. In college, I had taken a coding class as part of my program-and while I enjoyed coding- my focus was elsewhere, so I never took the time to fully learn beyond what was required. Matt and SheCodes has helped me re-learn the basics, reignited my interest in coding, and was clear and fun in the process.

I took graphic design in college, which included multiple semesters of coding. I sincerely feel that I've absorbed more information in the SheCodes basics program than I ever did in the college courses. It's taught in a way that really works for me, and I love that I can work at my own pace. I'm so excited to keep learning!😊

Enjoyed taking this 3 week course a lot. I've taken other coding workshops that cover the same topics and was never able to digest everything the way I have with the basic program. Initially, I found it to be a little difficult, but I was happy to notice that we were working on the main project the entire time and learning it bit by bit. It became a welcome and engaging challenge for me. I had so much fun and feel like I learned so much!!

I am 25 and a stay at home mom. I came across SheCodes on a social platform. I really appreciated that they had a free 1 hour class to discuss what they do, how they work, and how easy it can be to learn coding, through them. Being a stay at home mom has its difficulties, and I really appreciated that it wasn't time consuming. It did still take lots of effort, but I finished the basic course, and really LOVED my entire experience. I have found a new love in the world of coding and the opportunities it can bring me and my family. I cannot wait to see what's to come after this. The course was pretty fun and really easy to follow. I enjoyed that every new thing I learned I immediately had to try. It really helped to get through the learning process. The projects/homework at the end of each week were really fun too!

I enjoyed learning with this responsive workshop and extend my knowledge about coding. It was quite challenging at some points, but you learn to also solve tricky things. And in the end you are really happy if it works out how you imagined it.
I really enjoyed the course, first week was the most difficult one. But the more I learned, the more interested I became. The videos give clear explanations and guidance. Especially useful I found Athena AI.
I am so glad that I took this React course with SheCodes because I learned so much. Coding is not easy but it does pay off at the end when you see your projects come to life and it feels good knowing you didn't quit. Coding is not for everyone and that is ok but if you can learn even the basics you already gained a skill you didn't have before.

Amazing course! I thought that in the end, I'd be able to understand a basic HTML code when I saw it. However, I had no idea I would be able to create a webpage myself. Now that I know it's not magic, but hard work, I'm willing to learn much more.

I am a lot of things, a designer a model, a dreamer... the list could go on but ultimately I am a creative. A few months before this course I did some learning on freecodecamp.org and then moved to shecodes.io just to experiment with the idea before committing to an actual degree in Web Systems. I am currently studying in college and I am so much ahead in my courses I am taking all thanks to the help of SheCodes. I've taken some time in the world to decide what I want in life and within that process I found a love for coding. I specifically want to pursue a career in cloud computing. I also want to learn/experiment with the integration of animation in web sites. I look forward to learning more and plan to do many more workshops to further my knowledge! My interest in coding began in late 2022, whilst I was in my third year of University. I realised that I had little passion for my major and wanted to find something new that would spark passion within me. I had thought about going back to university after I graduated to study an MBA or something in finance. But, 2022 was a year of exploration and self discovery for me, I had met a lot of friends within the tech industry, who suggested I look into coding and that coding was a great field for women. So, I did just that. I began my research and saw an overwhelming amount of different positions within the tech industry. Immediately, I was drawn to the idea of cybersecurity and began to do a course on that on freeCodeCamp but it was overwhelmingly difficult and frustrating. I gave up as quickly as I had began. Then, I return after I had written my final year exams and went back to my research, I looked for advice from the large online coding community and everyone had advised to start with web development, as it was the foundation of understanding coding and breaking into the industry. So, I started again, watching Youtube videos, following along with them as they began to code, and at first, it was overwhelming but it made a lot more sense this time since I was taking baby steps. I spent a month being self taught, assimilating the different markup languages, wanting to perfect them before I added Javascript to my roster. I went on Tiktok and found my community in 'Black women in Tech-tok', that's when I came across SheCodes for the first time. I always knew I was a learner that needed a roadmap with structure, so I knew I would thrive in an online school or course, so I knew SheCodes would be for me. I had a stable enough understanding of HTML and CSS and SheCodes helped me begin to understand the ropes of Javascript and I'm excited to learn more, know more and grow with SheCodes. This is only the beginning of my journey with our amazing instructor Matt and the SheCodes team.
I started learning how to code with SheCodes hands-on online coding workshops. My goal was to expand my coding knowledge to improve my design deliverables to engineers.

I came back to this extra project after finishing SheCodes Plus, half as a refresher and the other half to complete an extra project. And I'm glad I did, because I learn a number of new tips and tricks in the extra project I would have otherwise had to struggle with. So glad I signed up for the Max package to be able to do these extra fun projects!
This course was an encouraging introduction to coding from scratch. The most exciting was the final project which allowed me to channel all I have learned in the past weeks while applying my skills as a designer to the project.
That was an interesting course for learning the basics, with having no coding background I liked the setting and the presentations. Sometimes, I felt overwhelmed by the amount of content, but actually it is not a big deal. You get help through Slack and Athena Al are terrific helpers; Athena Al walks through more details. I cannot believe how Matt makes it so easy to learn how to code, the multiple challenges and interactive videos make it easy for us to follow and implement what we learn as we go. My confidence in my abilities went from zero to almost 100% when it came to applying the concepts taught. I would recommend this course to all women around the world it is truly worth it.
This workshop was much needed! Learning how to make my projects responsive was a game changer and really beneficial. After finishing, I went through and edited my previous projects so now they look great no matter what screen size they are being viewed on!

Learning React is not easy but Matt's instructions were really clear and made it easy to understand the different concepts. I have completed all the previous SheCodes workshops and they have all been amazing. This one is no different, and I can only hope that more workshops are released in the future!
As all previous workshops, SheCodes React was super interesting and full of valuable information! I learned a lot of things that will surely aid me to start a career as a front-end web developer. New concepts are introduced in small portions to make them easy to understand and practice with the daily challenges. And even though there are deadlines to lean on, if your life really gets too busy (like mine did), you can always come back later and continue/ finish the course when you have the time. The tech support will still be there for you as well. All in all, I would highly recommend this course to anyone who would like to learn about React JS or just continue their coding journey. I had a lot of fun and I'm sure, so will you. 😊

SheCodes React was definitely one of my most challenging workshops. I took a lot of time to finish this project, but at the same time, it was fascinating! Matthieu Delac breaks down the whole process into easy-to-understand pieces. Shout out to João, Vlada, and Paul, who have been incredible guides! It's a pleasure to see the final result and to know what I accomplished in the 6 weeks. The SheCodes journey has elevated my desire to learn more and practice my skills in real-life projects. Definitely would recommend this course!
