SheCodes is a phenomenal platform for beginners. It provides all the necessary basics that one needs to understand coding. I truly enjoyed starting this coding journey and love learning new things daily.
SheCodes Plus is definatley far more challenging that anything we've done previously. Creating the weather app has been an incredible learning curve, but so fulfilling to be able to create something from scratch. The SheCodes team are absolutely wonderful and provide great assistance and clarity if you need.
This phase was really exciting, learning new things and being able to work on my free time was a great experience, I hope I'm able to learn more in the future.
Learning the basics of coding has been as intense as challenging but at the same time really enjoyable and in a way, easy. The videos are really efficient and Matthieu's explainations cannot be clearer. I could not complete the week 1 homework and challenges in due time but it was easy to request an extension, and the team was very understanding. I found the course very flexible, fun and interesting. I feel like I really understand how HTML, CSS and Javascript work, and feel more confident for the future. I was starting a UX design course at the same time, and was hoping to learn about the basics of coding since employers often like potential UX designers to be able to communicate and understand developers. I feel so much more confident now with the basic but yet thorought and solid knowledge SheCodes gave me!
Creating this hobby project was quite fun and has helped me feel more confident in my coding skills! This mini-course taught a few more advanced HTML, CSS, and Javascript skills. Learning how to create a CSS grid, animations, and a dark theme toggle was especially useful and exciting.
I absolutely loved building a world clock and with my love for travel and all the places I'v been, it just hit home. I am looking forward to continue my coding journey as I just want to keep learning and trying new things and more knowledge to write cleaner code. As always, Matt is amazing with how he breaks things down and I just appreciate his honesty and great personality. As we're getting more advanced there is lots of trial and error and what a relief to hear Matt say that sometimes it can take an entire day to write two lines of code! Just super happy and proud of my world clock and can't wait to start Responsive!

I am 25 and a stay at home mom. I came across SheCodes on a social media platform. I really appreciated that they had a free 1 hour class to discuss what they do, how they work, and how easy it can be to learn coding, through them. Being a stay at home mom has its difficulties, and I really appreciated that it wasn't time consuming. It did still take a lot of effort, but I finished the basic course, and really LOVED my entire experience. I have now completed the plus course, I truly feel I have found a love for coding and am excited for the opportunities it can bring me and my family. I can't wait to see what's to come after this. I really enjoyed the She Codes responsive program even tho I was kinda short on deadlines sometimes, so the fact that we can require a one-week extension is a great option π anyways, I've learned a lot of new things in this new program so I highly recommend going this far in the She Codes program π

Previously I had tried to learn html, css and javascript and for the life of me I could not come right. Then I came across SheCodes and with only just 3-4 weeks of being a part of the family I can truly say that this is the best platform to learn from. Not only does it offer hands on experience, but it also comes with an incredible instructor. Matt is so passionate and it is so inspirational. I can definitely see myself becoming a developer.

After completing the SheCodes Basics it took some time for me to complete the SheCodes Plus course. At first I was skeptical with how much I'd learn because I'm just "following tutorials and doing exactly as I was told" but Matt is an excellent teacher! He explained everything in such a way that it's easy to follow. I noticed that I understood what I was doing after friends asked me for an explanation on my codes which surprised me a lot. Can't wait to see what the React course has in store for me :)

As someone with little to no experience in coding prior to attending this program, I was initially apprehensive about whether I would be able to keep up with the curriculum. However, from day one, Matt's lessons were comprehensive and the community was supportive, and the curriculum was structured in such a way that even complete beginners like me were able to grasp the concepts. What I appreciated most about the SheCodes was the emphasis on hands-on, project-based learning. Instead of just reading about coding concepts in a textbook or watching lectures, we were actually coding from day one. I have really enjoyed my SheCodes Basics experience, the platform worked really well with my preferred learning style of hands-on, allowing me to get stuck in with the experiential practice. I found it challenging in a positive way, spending hours immersed in focussed problem-solving and feeling a great sense of achievement upon completing the tasks. It was also great to see the elements of HTML, CSS and Javascript come together for the final project!

Excellent course, would highly recommend to everyone who would like to start coding! Each week, there are a number of tutorials which you can watch when convenient and you can apply what you learned in the homework assignment. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow and the homework is exactly the right level of challenging.
Joining SheCodes was the best thing I could ever do for myself. I've learned a lot of new things in a short period of time and the weekly homework helps you in practicing my skills. I'm looking forward to learning more things in the SheCodes Plus program and later getting a remote job which has been my dream so that I can work from anywhere.

What a fantastic introduction to coding! After completing four SheCodes workshops, I feel empowered to make my own projects and continue my journey with web development. React isn't the easiest to learn, but Matt is an excellent teacher and the Slack team is amazing. The learning is project-based, fun, and engaging. I highly recommend!
