This course filled in the gaps from previous coding classes that I took. The instructor really explains the concept and tests your knowledge after each concept and at the end of the week you put everything together to show how these items work together in a real example. I have learned to start simple and then add my format and styling elements one piece at a time to understand where I have made errors and to easily fix them.
Fun project and easy step-by-step learning. I always enjoy the workshops.
Starting a project of making my own portfolio makes me excited for future project and career. Learning responsive techniques like Bootstrap etc is exciting tools.

It was a great 8-week experience to take the basics I learned in the first course and apply them to create a fully-functional weather app. I wouldn't believe it if someone told me I'd learn how to do this. This add-on workshop consisted of creating a World Clock page with many various JavaScript features. It was fun personalizing the project and I have many more ideas of how to enhance it in the future as I learn more functions.

Breaking the lessons down into small parts meant I didn't lose focus quickly like other courses, and if I felt I was losing focus I could just come back the next day. I have tried other coding classes in the past and SheCodes was the only one that helped me truly understand JS. Matt, the instructor does an excellent job at organizing the weekly lessons and assignments in a way that really speaks to my style of learning. I was able to follow along and loved that after you submitted your challenge, he would go over the solution so you can understand where you may have went wrong and how to fix it. I wanted to see if coding could be for me and I loved the creativity and organization that goes into it and I'm so glad I took SheCodes Basics. I plan to enroll in SheCodes Max soon!

I like how Matt explains complex things very easily and in accessible language. The approach to explaining new information is creative and you can't stop and want to review the lessons further and further))) Practical tasks are immediately adapted to real projects and you understand why this or that method is used in practice.
