Becoming a developer is something that has been a goal of mine for a few years now. I'm not one to go take a college course and in my opinion, shecodes is a better way for me to learn how to code because of my flexible schedule. The curriculum is really good based on the lessons and assignments I have completed. I retained the material with little problems.

As a student, stepping out of my comfort zone was exciting. Coding became something to look forward to during recess. Learning extra skills was a good adrenaline pumper.

Enrolling SheCode Plus Add-on was a transformative experience for me. The extensive front-end development program encompassed everything from HTML and CSS to JavaScript and contemporary frameworks. Engaging in hands-on projects and real-world applications reinforced my learning and allowed me to create a strong portfolio. These last three weeks I have learnt a lot from html, CSS and Javascript thank you to this amazing SheCodes Basics Workshop. The AI add-on was incredibly easy to follow, building on relevant parts of previous workshops as a refresher. SheCodes makes learning coding so easy it's addicting, so on to the next workshop I go!

I have been a stay at home mom for the past 8 years. Now that my children are getting older I wanted to do something for me and learn something new. I have been interested in learning to code for 2 years before joining She Codes. I am so glad that I found She Codes! Learning to code this way is easy to understand and it is something I am able to maintain while still caring for my family full time.

My SheCodes journey over the past 6 weeks has been a rollercoaster. I struggled a lot, often postponing my work until I was left with only two opportunities to reschedule. Despite my busy schedule, I found enjoyment in the process. The last week, however, was particularly tough. I faced many challenges with the API, and since my project was different from what was taught, I had to approach some tasks in my own way. Even though it was challenging, I’m proud of how much I’ve learned and how I pushed through the obstacles. This experience has truly been rewarding.

At first Python seemed like a very strict, unfriendly language, but that is really not the case. Through every advanced lesson I saw that Python is actually fun , Python is actually friendly. These well-structured workshop are beginner friendly and I love how we are learning advanced real life stuff to enable that we are tech-industry-ready.

After successfully completing my recent coding project, I’m proud of the results I’ve achieved. The project challenged me to CSS e.g. when I had to put a picture , and I learned valuable lessons throughout the development process. I worked extensively with HTML to create good elements. One of the most fulfilling aspects of the project was when I had to put heading 1 and heading 2 . This experience allowed me to not only enhance my technical abilities but also refine my problem-solving and project management skills. I’m excited about the progress I’ve made and look forward to applying the knowledge gained to future projects. Overall, this project was a great opportunity for growth, and I’m eager to take on new challenges in the world of coding and development.

SheCodes Python AI Workshop was really interesting - I enjoyed the 2 weeks workshop. I learnt the basics of AI including prompt engineering, good practices about using AI, and to write some Python scripts to interact with artificial intelligence. I was able to build a really cool road trip itinerary generator to help plan an interesting road trip from any location. The lessons were really clear and easy to understand. I might just really like Python AI because the potential is endless!

There's something super satisfying about turning an idea into code and seeing it come to life. excited to learn more :)
