I'm 43 and have dreamed of understanding the world of coding for years. I truly believed it was impossible to learn something this challenging at my age. I just finished another phase of my SheCodes journey, and this time I got to learn about time and timezones using JavaScript, HTML, and Moment.js. I built a page where users can check the current time in different cities around the world. I already expected timezones to be a little confusing, but honestly, they were even trickier than I thought... and still really fun to figure out. This was the most JavaScript I’ve written so far, and at times it felt a bit overwhelming. But writing a lot of comments helped me map out what was going on in the code and kept me on track. I also got more comfortable using things like date(), setInterval(), setTimeout(), and user input elements like and . It was a great practice for problem solving, which I really enjoy. I feel like every phase helps me organize my thinking better and shows me how much you can do with code. The lessons are hands-on and practical, and that makes it easier to remember everything I’m learning. I still have a long way to go, but I’m feeling more excited and confident with each step. I definitely recommend SheCodes to anyone who wants to start coding with guidance and motivation.

I just completed the React classes with She Codes, and it was a really helpful experience. Building the AI-generated travel planner was a fun way to learn how to incorporate AI into code and design a project.

Completed the 3 week SheCodes course while in between jobs and giving interviews. It gave me a structured and creative way to make the most of my time, and I’m so proud to have learned a completely new skill, coding! This course pushed me to revisit and apply the foundational coding skills I learned in earlier workshops, while introducing powerful new tools like Bootstrap, responsive design across devices, and SEO optimization. These new layers didn’t just add polish — they transformed how I think about web development. It felt like we rebuilt our project again and again, but looking back, I understand why — that repetition built real muscle memory. By the time I submitted my final project, everything started to click. I was able to take work I’d done in the past and elevate it into a full, multi-page website that I’m truly proud of. Seeing how far I’ve come from the beginning has been emotional, exciting, and so motivating. This is the first project that felt big, not just in size, but in meaning. It gave me a glimpse of what’s possible, and lit a fire to keep going. I'm still at the start of my coding journey, but thanks to SheCodes, I know with certainty: this is the path I want to be on.

A great workshop to add on the skills I have learned through SheCodes Basics.

My favourite thing about SheCodes workshops is the way the material is taught in short, manageable lessons, each followed by a challenge. The final project brings everything together, which really helps the information stick. I actually learn and feel confident in my abilities. I gained a lot from this workshop and look forward to revisiting my older final projects to make them responsive. My portfolio is already coming along nicely, thanks to SheCodes!

I really enjoyed this basics workshop. I loved how easy the platform was to use and how clear the lessons were. I have learned so much in this workshop even though i came across a lot of challenges, but at the end i enjoyed it

Learning to code is a very time-consuming and hard skill to learn, but the way the lessons in these workshops are presented makes it easier to follow. It's still challenging, and it's made me realize I have a lot to learn, but I love being part of the sheCodes community. When I have a question, I know I have the support to understand, learn, and fix any issues. I know that even though at times it might seem like an impossibly high mountain to climb, there are others next to me willing to support me and ahead of me willing to guide me.

This was a lot of fun! I enjoyed learning how to toggle between light and dark mode, manipulate images, and how to make a webpage look more sophisticated.
