Building this dictionary project was a great learning experience. What I liked: I really liked that AI Basics was practical rather than being only theoretical. Being able to actually create something and see the results made the lessons more interesting and helped me understand what I was learning. I also liked being able to experiment with different prompts and see how changing the way I communicate with AI can change the results. It helped me understand the importance of being specific and giving AI enough information to work with. I enjoyed having the opportunity to create a project that felt personal and creative rather than simply following a fixed example. Constructive feedback: One thing that could make the experience even better for beginners is providing a little more step-by-step guidance when moving into a new project or tool. There were moments when I wasn't completely sure what I was supposed to do next, especially when several requirements were introduced at once. It could also be helpful to have a simple checklist for each major project showing: What needs to be completed What needs to be tested What needs to be submitted What the final project should contain That would make it easier to know whether everything has been completed before submitting. Overall: I really appreciate the opportunity to have completed SheCodes AI Basics. It gave me a better understanding of AI and helped me become more confident in experimenting, creating and solving problems with AI. There were challenging moments, but those moments were part of the learning process. I'm happy with what I've been able to create and I'm looking forward to continuing my learning journey with the skills I've gained from AI Basics.

Python's syntax is unquestionable different from HTML, CSS, JS but every day I am learning something new.

I really enjoyed taking this course and learned a lot about AI, especially how to write clear and effective prompts to get better results from AI. The practical examples helped me understand how to communicate with AI more effectively and how small changes in a prompt can significantly affect the output. This course also gave me a better understanding of how AI can be used in real-world applications. Overall, it was a valuable learning experience, and I’m excited to continue exploring and learning more about AI.

Learning has been substantial from SheCodes. The teachings have been practical and understandable and have made substantial improvements to my understanding of web development through the development of actual projects. I’ve been having so much fun learning with SheCodes! I started with very little coding knowledge, and I love that I can now actually understand what I’m doing and build things on my own. Seeing something I coded actually work is so satisfying! The lessons are clear, practical, and make learning feel challenging but never overwhelming.

I really enjoyed the SheCodes Plus Add-on. One of the biggest things I noticed is how much more comfortable I’ve become with JavaScript. It used to feel quite complicated and sometimes overwhelming, but now it feels much more logical and easier to understand. I especially enjoyed building the World Clock project because it gave me a chance to put everything together and actually see what I could create with what I had learned. There were definitely moments when things didn’t work as expected, but figuring out why and fixing them was actually one of the most useful parts of the learning process. It’s really nice to look back and realise that things that seemed difficult not that long ago now feel much more manageable. I feel much more confident with my coding and excited to keep learning and building new projects.

The SheCodes Next Foundations Workshop has been an incredibly valuable experience for me. As a high school graduate preparing to enter the job market, I realized how much I still had to learn about presenting myself professionally and building opportunities for my future. Challenging, but worth every moment of just staring at your code wondering what you are missing 🤭. The bite-size chunks of learning and weekly deadlines help with time-management. I still cannot believe what I've learned in a matter of 8 weeks and what I was able to achieve with the final project. I cannot recommend SheCodes more than I've already done. I wish everyone could have the opportunity to be introduced to coding. Matt makes coding seem possible and achievable. Thanks for creating these courses.

This workshop was quite challenging. At the beginning it seems like everything make sense, but after you learn about API and how to more improve your weather app, it will confuse you a little. But I think with this workshop it was easier to understand and get the connection between HTML, JavaScript and API. I enjoy this coding and will recommend! :)

I feel I have a decent basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript now. I wanted to dip my toe into the world of coding to see if it interested me; I didn't want to commit to a lengthy in-person course, but I didn't want to teach myself with free online resources either as I know I learn better with assigned tasks and deadlines to work towards. This was a good compromise where it's a pretty-much self-directed course with assigned goals and deadlines.

In my opinion this platform and the program that it offers to people is a good and initial way of learning how to base code. I find this program useful and would want it to get more detailed and well explained.

I always wanted to learn how to code, but it seemed way too complicated. Because of that, I kept putting it off for a long time. Ever since I started with SheCodes Basic, that has completely changed! I loved learning more about implementing AI into Python Code. Very well structured and easy to follow along. Finished the course in one day.

I really enjoyed the SheCodes React Workshop and, most importantly, I feel that I’ve learned a lot by putting everything into practice with my own project. For this project, I built a fully functional English Dictionary App using React, working with reusable components, React state, conditional rendering and asynchronous API requests. I integrated the SheCodes Dictionary API, Pexels API and SheCodes AI API to create features such as definitions, translations, pronunciation, visual context and AI-assisted grammar explanations. One of the most valuable parts of the workshop was learning how to structure a React application properly and understand how different components can work together while keeping the code organised and maintainable. I also gained more confidence working with APIs, handling loading and error states, managing user interactions and building a responsive interface for different screen sizes. This project really helped me move from understanding React concepts individually to actually bringing them together in a complete application. The SheCodes basic workshop was a user-friendly way to start my journey in understanding code and learning basics for my marketing career.

Before this workshop, the word “coding” honestly intimidated me. I never imagined that I would become comfortable doing anything that involved code, let alone building functional websites and prototypes that actually work. The SheCodes workshop changed that for me.Through the hands-on projects, I discovered that coding could be accessible, creative, and genuinely fun. Lovable helped me break through the fear I had around coding and gave me the confidence to experiment, make mistakes, troubleshoot, refine my ideas, and keep building. I learned more about frontend development, responsive design, website structure, content, SEO, metadata, and how to turn an idea into a working digital product using AI-assisted development. What made the experience even more meaningful was that I wasn't simply following tutorials—I was building real projects. I created websites and prototypes that I can continue developing beyond the workshop. I am now planning to connect my own domains and make some of these projects fully public outside Lovable. That alone is something I never thought I would confidently say before starting this journey. The lessons were explained so well, and every project gave me an opportunity to learn something new while having fun. What took me most by surprise in this course was not only learning new AI tools or discovering how to build websites with AI, but the level of instruction, precision, and attention to detail throughout the entire development process. I have always heard the phrase, “It’s all in the details,” but this course allowed me to see what that really means in practice. The instructions were not simply about what the AI should follow; they reflected principles that any good programmer or developer should follow. What stood out to me was how the course covered details at every stage — from design and user experience to the details that affect a website's first impression, such as Open Graph (OG) metadata and SEO, as well as performance, accessibility, structure, and implementation. Another valuable aspect was having access to instructor-created guides and tools covering both frontend and backend development with each topic supported by practical, learnable content rather than simply presenting a tool and expecting the learner to figure everything out independently. For me, this is what makes the course much more than an AI basics course. Even someone who already has development or AI knowledge can benefit from it because it strengthens and organizes that knowledge while introducing better practices and workflows. I would describe it as a package of broader skills for AI, software development, and modern digital product building. It does not just teach you how to use AI; it helps you understand how to use it while still thinking like a developer — paying attention to the details that ultimately make a product stand out.

We definitely hit some frustrating real-world snags along the way, like the page crashing on mobile screens and layout buttons freezing up right at the finish line. In times of AI, I thought it would be extremely helpful to learn how to implement AI into coding, and this Plus AI module did the best to teach me this. I learned so much and my brain broke a few times but it was worth it. Weather apps aren't my thing, but I can appreciate the the purpose of building a weather app and using live searchable data in the advanced coding. And creating loops as opposed to copy/pasting code forcing long repetitive lines of data. And I was having problems with deploying, but staff was super nice and responded quickly. Thanks!!

Another fun but more challenging project to develop a World Clock App. Lots of new coding to learn around dates, times and displaying timezones!

I really enjoyed SheCodes Python Basics. I came into it with some HTML, CSS and JavaScript experience, so it was interesting seeing familiar programming ideas expressed differently in Python. The weather app project was probably the most useful part for me because it brought functions, APIs, dictionaries, dates, loops and debugging together in one proper build rather than learning everything in isolation. I also liked having enough space in the challenges to try things my own way instead of just copying the instructor’s solution. By the end, I felt much more confident reading Python, debugging it, and understanding why the code worked rather than just getting it to run. I’m definitely not done with Python yet.

I enjoyed this course and learned the basics of using AI tools to create a project. The step-by-step approach was easy to follow and helped me understand how AI can be used in practical projects.

🌟 I’ve really enjoyed learning Python through this course! It has been a great introduction to coding and has helped me understand how Python can be used to create something practical and interactive. One of my favourite parts was building my own weather app using an API. I learned how to ask the user for a city, connect to a weather API, retrieve live weather information, and display the current temperature, humidity and forecast. At first, working with APIs and understanding the code felt quite challenging, but seeing my weather app actually work made it so rewarding! 🌤️ The course has given me more confidence with Python and has shown me that coding can be both creative and useful. I’m really proud of what I’ve created and excited to continue learning and building more projects! 💻✨

Before SheCodes, I had no degree and no coding background — just a full-time job and a goal to change my career path. The program gave me a clear, structured way to learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, even while working full-time. For my final project, I built a landing page for my own business, The Cinnamon Spot, which made the learning feel real instead of just theoretical. SheCodes gave me the confidence and foundation to keep going I'm now working toward a career in data analytics and data engineering, and this was the first real step.All thanks to matt❤
