This entire workshop was so fun and interactive. I learned so much about coding and was always interested in learning more. Concepts were made easy to understand and I am so grateful for SheCodes and being able to take this workshop!
I joined SheCodes so I can learn more about coding! As soon as I started SheCodes Basics, I was hooked. The lessons were easy to follow, and the exercises and projects were a great compliment. This was a great introduction into html, css and javascript, and I cannot wait to learn more!
This was a great lesson. I learned a lot about headers, footers, and embeds. I hope to learn more in the next class.
This program made learning the basics of coding very accessible and doable. The tutorials, explanations, challenges, and weekly homework are great ways to begin coding if you don't have any experience. Perfect for novices. I do recommend it especially if you have any inkling of interest.
SheCodes is a great option to learn coding! I found it easy to understand, despite having zero coding knowledge previously.
This course is definitely less information-dense than SheCodes Plus and, since you don't use JS to make a website responsive, much easier to understand! I also think the way Matt explains how to use Bootstrap in this course is much clearer than in SCP and you learn fundamental skills to make your website look great on all devices :) I personally still struggle a bit when Matt becomes messy and confusing but he's also really funny and engaging - never boring!

I am just amazed how far I have gone through with this online coding workshop thru SheCodes.io. I have learned a lot and be able to build my portfolio with the help of my teacher, Matt Delac. I know that I still have to learn more and be challenged with lots of projects. It's hard but it's worth when you see your accomplishment so far. Keep on coding!
The Responsive Add On was a great way to learn more about building something completely from scratch! I feel like I have a way better understanding of Bootstrap because I've built something from scratch like this.

Over the past decade or so, I have served as the head of various departments of technical engineers and developers. During this time, my daily routine has transitioned from hands-on engineering towards managing, strategising, and coordinating projects. Though I've made a few attempts at coding, the knowledge I've acquired has largely been left to gather dust in the back of my mind. Nonetheless, I've always harboured a desire to play a more hands-on role. With this in mind I decided to to reignite my passion and embarked on my SheCodes journey, starting with the Basics course. It's been nothing short of a revelation. This course has helped me reconnect with my natural coding ability, offering an enjoyable and exciting way back into the world of coding. The material was engaging and the videos are knowledgeable and approachable. The fact that I could study at my own pace, fitting the course around my schedule, was an added bonus. It was a joy to return to the nuts and bolts of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript after such a long hiatus. What I particularly appreciated was the process of re-engaging with problem-solving, the kind of critical thinking required to build something from the ground up. The course reminded me of how much I enjoy the creativity involved in coding, the challenge of making something functional and aesthetically pleasing. It's been a pleasure to have that part of my brain engaged again, and to feel my passion for coding rekindled. Looking ahead, I am particularly excited about starting the SheCodes Max course. I feel it is the perfect next step to dive deeper into coding and explore its many facets that blend creativity and engineering. So, to anyone considering a coding course, I would say go for it. Whether you are a seasoned developer or a beginner, SheCodes provides a fantastic environment for learning, growing and reigniting your passion for coding. It certainly did for me.
Honestly, taking the Shecodes basic workshop classes ,has been quite journey for me so far for a very long time i always wanted to learn coding but always felt that is was to hard for me and a bit intimidating , so i always put the idea to the side but now i see i have been missing out this whole time, i admit the courses were a bit challenging because of the timing i had between my work schedule and etc but it was so much worth it I feel more confident to take it to the next level and continue on my journey in coding, thanks to Shecodes and Matt i know it is possible now.
I really enjoyed being introduced to coding with SheCodes Basic! I look forward to learning more, the videos are bite-sized and easy to understand.
This has been my favorite workshop so far. I learned a lot of small tricks to help my coding and am very proud of the final project. It was nice taking a look at older projects from earlier workshops and seeing how much I have learned while also having the projects to show that I am capable of making these sites on my own. I am looking forward to starting the add-on workshop next!
It took me a while to start the course as I thought it would be too had for me, but honestly it was so easy to follow and you had a step by step guide and help along the way. I really feel like I have learned a lot from this course and proud of myself that I have finished this course. Matt really explained everything so well. I can't wait to learn more and hopefully start a career soon from this.

Learning with SheCodes is an amazing experience. The greatest tutor with wonderful teaching skills makes coding easy and simplifies every subject. The coherent lessons were very easy to follow. If you need a sign to start learning how to code, this is it. I see the digital world in colour now because of SheCodes! I find myself trying to break down the different languages when I am browsing the internet or using my phone. I thoroughly enjoyed this course, it was so life changing! I found myself getting super excited when I wrote code and it ran and I had child-like happiness whenever my css would run and i could see it on split screen.
Learning with SheCodes is a great experience especially as a beginner with no prior background in coding or in tech. Loved this course! I have wanted to take an intro coding course for a while, and I'm so glad I chose SheCodes. Matt was a great instructor, the video, challenge, then solution format really helped me learn the topics, and the flexibility of doing the course at my own pace meant I could easily fit the course into my schedule. I found the SheCodes Plus workshops challenging but fun. I learnt a lot, and really expanded the skills gained in the Basics programme. The early weeks go over what was previously learnt and I found that a useful way of consolidating my learning, and building my skills. I was really pleased with the project I was able to create in such a short space of time. For absolute beginners, like myself, this is a perfect combination of hand-holding (via the informative videos) and encouraging you to find solutions. A really interesting and informative course.
I loved the process of building my very first portfolio along with Matt's explanations and guidance. I was able to practice everything I learned during this workshop.

What a ride!! I cannot believe I have made my own weather app from scratch. During this workshop, I was able to learn more about GitHub, APIs, and how to host websites on Netlify. I also learned advanced HTML, CSS, and Javascript.

I have always found coding interesting, but I never felt confident/settled enough to sign up for courses. The SheCodes program created a safe space for me to be able learn at my own pace but still be under pressure with the homework deadlines and challenged my abilities in a positive way. I recently got hired for a new and exciting role in my school division (I am a teacher) as an Educational Technology Coordinator. A part of my role will also be working with computers and computer science, so I wanted to get a headstart this summer on improving my basic coding skills. From the first webinar, I knew that SheCodes would be a great program fit for me. You can go at your own pace, however, I found it really easy to complete the lessons and homework earlier than anticipated. The entire SheCodes Basics program was so easy to follow - I loved the lessons and Matt is a wonderful teacher who explains things. You can tell he is very passionate about coding and has so much knowledge to share. I learned many practical tips. The homework is challenging, however, with supports like the Slack channel and Athena AI, I had no issues. I've decided that after completing the Basics Program, I am definitely going to continue my SheCodes journey! I cannot wait to continue to learn and grow with this program. This community of women is very inspiring.
