The workshop is organized in a way that allows us to build upon and apply what we have learned into our project. I appreciate that the instructor demonstrates how to troubleshoot when the app or website does not display as expected. It was an enjoyable experience!
This workshop really ties everything that we've learned so far together. It isn't too difficult to follow along with the videos to code alongside the instructor, and it's nice to be able to listen as he talks through how he is troubleshooting when something doesn't work as predicted.

This workshop was sooo exciting! I can’t believe how much I have learned in the last weeks… Although it was harder than expected… I took me longer than planned since I am a mom of two under 5, and you know… life happens…there were days that I’ve ended up sleeping at 3am, so I can code in peace and quiet … But I was so hooked to coding, (and sometimes I’ve got frustrated since I have zero background on coding)… right now I can say that I have built a functional app all from scratch… I just want to keep learning more and more… and see where this coding journey would take me. Thank you to the staff of she codes that always had the patience to help every time I reached to them!! And thank you, Matt … your classes are the best!

Having had prior coding experience, I found the SheCodes Basics workshop to be incredibly enjoyable. I thoroughly enjoyed the SheCodes basic workshop. CSS , Html and Javascript went from being things that were foreign to me ,to being coding languages whose functionality made sense to me. The reviews for the homework we had to submit weekly , helped me improve my work and always served as a learning opportunity.

I got laid off in December and struggled to find work as a UX designer. The UX market isn't great at the moment and I can see there are a lot of developer opportunities, so I decided to upskill in coding. After learning coding from Matt, I upgraded to Max. Fun little project that looks nice without too much effort. It's a bit of a challenge to make it responsive without using bootstrap or the other techniques learnt in the main responsive workshop, but it's cool that Matt shows us different ways :)

I loved learning about html when I was in highschool but I was told there wouldn't be a future in it by the staff of my college, but they were wrong. I'm very grateful to SheCodes for giving me a second chance to further my knowledge on something that I loved.

While (very!) challenging, the step-by-step approach made it easy to follow and learn the classes and I was always very eager to complete the challenges and the weekly homeworks. The Slack channels help you with any questions you may have and there is always someone there to help you! I will for sure continue to learn with SheCodes! :)
I was a psychology major in college and I took a gap year for my sophomore year in college to do SheCodes, this is a surprise to myself considering my major and the fact that I learned everything with ease feels magical.
Enjoyed this part of the course where I got to build my own portfolio page, pulling together everything I have learned so far. This has really helped me to develop ideas further and make sure what I create is user friendly on all platforms

I loved the three-week SheCodes Basics workshop so much I signed up for SheCodes Max! I learned so much in the Basics Add-On workshop and it really helped me feel better about the skills I learned in the last workshop, and Matt's ability to really explain things in a helpful way makes me feel more comfortable going into the next workshop(s).
I really enjoyed building the dictionary app. I have learned so much from the add-on it is not easy however I have a much greater understanding after doing the React and the Add-on workshops.

I loved getting to know deeper HTML, CSS & JS code with the exercises of building search engines. I can use the knowledge learned to research more efficiently for digital design and editing-related work which is a bonus I did not expect.
