I loved the three-week SheCodes Basics workshop so much I signed up for SheCodes Max! I learned so much in the Basics Add-On workshop and it really helped me feel better about the skills I learned in the last workshop, and Matt's ability to really explain things in a helpful way makes me feel more comfortable going into the next workshop(s).
I really enjoyed building the dictionary app. I have learned so much from the add-on it is not easy however I have a much greater understanding after doing the React and the Add-on workshops.

After doing every other curriculum in SheCodes, returning back to the basics and STILL learning more and more things is jaw dropping - it was extremely fun working with just barebones HTML, CSS and JS and finding out just how powerful they can be without anything fancy adding onto it :)
SheCodes has been such an amazing journey. I definitely would recommend anyone wanting to learn to code. The videos and interaction make it a breeze to go through and mostly you have access to people who are on the journey with you to assist you. I love that you are still able to do this while working and at your own pace and from home. Matt is amazing and explains everything in such good detail.
It is honestly amazing how much I have learnt over these past 8 weeks and would certainly recommend SheCodes workshops to my peers. You may think it is rocket science but when tutored by Matt, he makes learning code seem effortless with his step by step teaching style.
I loved getting to know deeper HTML, CSS & JS code with the exercises of building search engines. I can use the knowledge learned to research more efficiently for digital design and editing-related work which is a bonus I did not expect. I enjoyed everything about SheCodes Basic and am thinking of continuing onto the next level! The instructor is very clear, the videos are bite-sized and easy to digest. There is a challenge after every video, to put in practice everything that we learn, followed by a solution to compare code and learn new things. The slack community offer a first port of call for queries and doubts. I highly recommend this short course to learn the ropes about HTML, JS and CSS.

SheCodes plus was a really fun experience for me and I learned a lot. I am very much excited to now know about all the interesting stuff such as API and GitHub which once seemed too complicated and scary to me! In fact I was so excited that I almost finished my weather app with all features by the sixth week and just followed the videos to make sure I know everything Matt wanted to teach us :)

Very easy topics and step by step lessons enough to understand but also does not spoon feed you so you learn to be more resourceful and creative which I really loved. I have a unrelated day job and the flexibility of their courses really made it easy for me to catch up. Years ago I had no clue what coding really was and once I got a bit more of an idea of it I knew it was something I wanted to learn and understand. About 2 years ago I came across a SheCodes ad offering a free coding class and I checked it out to see what coding was really about. I was very interested after the webinar lesson but didn't have the time to commit to it at that time because of college classes but now that I've graduated I knew this summer I had to take the SheCodes course. The lessons were comprehensive and fun and really made me feel like I had a special talent lol. I would totally recommend SheCodes to anyone who has no clue what coding is but would like to learn. Now I can't look at any webpage the same without thinking "I could make a button like that." and opening 'inspect' on every page and feeling amazed that I can understand what I'm looking at. SheCodes is a 10 out of 10!🤩
This section of the course was the most challenging one yet but React is a fun syntax to learn nevertheless and Matt is simply amazing - I hope he continues to teach more coding workshops because this is his calling.
I thought the lessons would be difficult to understand and everything would be frustrating but.. I was wrong! Perfect first step into learning how to code.

SheCodes Basic wasn't always easy, but the easy access to support, the well-made videos, the challenges/homework, and flexible yet straightforward structure with deadlines made it doable. I struggle with self-learning, but this structure was a good educational setup with autonomy. It was fun also. I highly recommend SheCodes!!
The React Add-on project was a great way to learn how to 1) fetch data from multiple APIs and render it in the same application and 2) go through the process of trial-and-error-ing different public APIs that best suit your application.

The plus workshop really improved my coding skills! Going into it I didn't see how I would ever be able to create a weather app myself from scratch but Matt's tutorials are extremely clear and easy to follow going through it step by step and I have learnt so much over this workshop! Learning to code with SheCodes has been both exciting and very educational. When I started learning WordPress, I was very nervous because I was branching into a new field, from a completely different field, Linguistics. But it turned out to be life-changing, and something I immediately fell in love with. Then I learned coding made work even more exciting and gave variety. I had to hop on it too. I was introduced to SheCodes, and I got the best head start and knowledge on coding using HTML, CSS, and javascript. This was one of my best experiences. I like how the lessons are carefully explained, especially for beginners like me.
