This is my second workshop and it gets better with more interesting concepts to learn like API integration. I enjoyed this workshop especially building the weather app and adding functionality to it.
I never imagined I would actually enjoy coding, or remotely be interested, but after taking the free intro to coding course, and signing up for the SheCodes Basics program, I have grown to really enjoy learning how to code. It feels good to make my brain work hard again and think through these codes!
I've thoroughly enjoyed completing the SheCodes Basics course and I'm so proud to show off my certificate! It's been a real learning journey so far and I'm not just referring to the skills I've learnt with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Another key lesson has been not to give up. When there's a bug in the code, it is there somewhere, I've just got to find it and it has often been as simple as a missing "+". It's so satisfying to suddenly find the fix and realise my code was otherwise valid! Looking forward to embarking on the next part of the course now.
The method of having a small challenge after every lesson was great and it really pushed me to learn more. After those, I felt more confident to really tackle the main project.

I have learned a lot during this course, probably more than I realize as I write this. The course has sometimes been challenging but consistently interesting, fun and developing. I recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn more about development and take it to the next level!
I had so much fun learning how to code because the way Matt explained everything made it so easy and light to learn! I would definitely recommend this workshop to any girl that would love to learn what it's like to code and see if they feel like giving this area a shot!
SheCodes was a fantastic way to learn the fun of coding. As a complete beginner, the course did a good job of teaching the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The SheCodes team was also a big help with answering any questions I might have had.
I'm really enjoying SheCodes. I find it challenging and so fun! The online community is very helpful and Matt is a great instructor, he makes coding make sense. I'm looking forward to learning more in the advanced courses.
I really enjoyed this 1-week workshop! I learned how to create a landing page with animations on a nice grid layout, as well as some JavaScript to make buttons work. After having taken a break from web dev coding, this was a great way to get back into it.
This course was set up incredibly well and was very easy to follow. I feel like I learned so much and am prepared to move on to the next course!

The course is highly practical and the tasks allow you to build up the skills gradually. I particularly appreciated the tasks dealing with developer tools. The information given is up-to-date and the presentation is interesting. The course also gamifies learning making each new stage feel like a new level in a game.

I completed Shecodes basics a few years ago and I have recently enrolled and completed Plus. When I saw the Basics Add-On I decided to complete it although I thought that my coding level was already above. That was not the case, I learned many new things and got to get more insights into some of the properties that I already knew. Highly recommend it.
It exceeded my expectations! I had some previous knowledge in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and the structured curriculum made it easy to review the basics, while challenging myself into more advanced topics. What set this course apart was the weekly deadlines and its commitment to staying current — covering the latest updates and best practices in web development. The challenges in each lesson provided a practical edge, allowing me to immediately apply and update my skills. The course had a cool interactive setup with example projects, and we could chat and get support on Slack. It felt like a community, making learning not just educational but also really fun. Overall, it's a must for anyone looking to learn the basics from zero and/or refresh their knowledge in web development.
It is a very interesting experience that we go through building a site step by step together and learn new and useful things.
This is not my first attempt at learning to code but sheCodes gave me the CONFIDENCE to be a coder. Matt is an EXCEPTIONAL teacher that makes it feel so easy and doable. with this course I finally feel like a coder, like confident enough to climb the educational ladder to keep learning and make a career in tech.
I'm happy that i took this chance to learn something new. Is this going to change my life? I don't know we wil see. :)
I was super excited to create this project. I had so much fun and I gained so much experience and confidence to do "bigger" projects. I learned more in javascript and I am excited to go build different applications with what I have learned.
Possibly the most fun project IMO as of yet. Still lots and lots to learn but slowly starting to wrap my head around things!
The SheCodes Basics Add-On workshop had a simple project but with so many new concepts and tricks to learn. I also recommend this workshop for beginners who are learning the fundamentals of web development. I really enjoyed it.
It's an amazing tool to learn! I would suggest making your home page as clean as you can, SEO friendly, adding header and footers, and with as good structure and class names as possible before adding the rest of the pages, this will save you a lot of time when building the rest of the pages.

These past 3 weeks have been so fun. I've learned so much from Matt, and I appreciate how easy each lesson was to follow along to. I never thought coding could be this fun and interesting, and I'm so happy I enjoy this. I'm going to continue learning, and I'm so excited to learn more! Anyone who wants to dip their toes into coding, you should def do this workshop! I also had a ton of fun creating my first page.
I really loved this course! Well explained as always, I enjoyed making my portfolio step by step, learning new tips and tricks about responsive websites, SEO, and web design…. I am so happy with the results!

As someone who has zero experience in coding or tech, this was really interesting learning a new skill. Knowing that it's not as intimidating and impossible as I originally thought is a great feeling.

Before I joined shecodes, I felt like I was struggling to improve my coding skills. But after completing the program, I feel like my skills and knowledge have grown so much! SheCodes is such an immersive workshop. Here we learned about the moment.js library, built to simplify the retrieval of data concerning times and timezones across the globe. I had a lot of fun building the World Clock App using this amazing tool.
OMG. That's all I could say. As enjoyable as it was, GIRL?!?!?!?! I have never had to apply my min as hard as I had to during this course. But, it was so rewarding because I learnt a lot about coding and about myself. One thing about coding, is that not only does it build websites and apps, it also builds character! This was a really difficult workshop, but as long as you take your time and really practice you will get it. I certainly struggled with learning React, but I can honestly say I prefer it to regular JS.
The lessons are pretty easy to follow once you get accustom to them. Everything is so much fun to learn.
Great workshop! It was challenging, but you get to transform your design concepts into interactive and user-friendly experiences. You will learn to bring not only your website to life but also learn important responsive fundamentals for smaller devices with Bootstrap and media queries.
I never imagined learning how to code would be this easy. I had this idea that coding is only for people with a background in computer science but I'm so glad I was wrong. I am definitely continuing with the next workshops!!

I've always wanted to learn how to code and build websites but I was never able to find a reasonably priced and fun course that I could stick to. That all changed when I found Shecodes. I have had so much fun and learned a lot in just a few weeks. The interface is appealing and easy to use and I really like the fact each class requires you to immediately put what you learned into practice. This really helped new principles stick. I am looking forward to completing the next workshop!

I am really appreciative that I had the chance to enrol in SheCodes. It was a fantastic experience that made learning the principles of coding interesting and enjoyable. I didn't have much expertise with coding before SheCodes. The idea of learning to code has always scared me, but SheCodes made it fun and simple. The instructors are constantly ready to assist you if you run into difficulties, and the lessons are easy to follow and well-paced. I adored the fact that SheCodes is a group of women who encourage and support one another. Throughout the programme, I made a tonne of new friends, and we all supported one another's development. I was able to create my own website and web application by the end of SheCodes. I couldn't have done it without SheCodes, and I was incredibly pleased of what I had achieved.

SheCodes Plus definitely was a challenge in comparison to the previous course. I enjoyed it though! I am learning so much and I know I wouldn't have been disciplined enough to get this far on my own. Thank you, so much Matt and SheCodes crew! For anyone considering Plus, my best advice would be to make sure you set aside at least an hour or two every day to work on your project. I got behind by trying to do the week's worth of work in one night a few times.

The course was challenging but very rewarding. Whenever I got stumped and felt like throwing my keyboard across the room I could head to the Slack channels for guidance and inspiration. It's wonderful to be part of a community where everyone is learning together.
It wasn't easy, but a lot of it is putting in the time and effort to learn how to do things after you're told what it is, and once you figure it out, it's very satisfying.
It was an amazing experience and a lot of useful information in a very fun way of learning!

She Codes Add-ons have been an extension and practice to my new learning. I am starting to see some of the building blocks finally taking shape.

I just completed the basic front-end course, and I have to say it was a nice experience. The content was well-structured and easy to follow, even for someone with minimal prior knowledge in web development. The instructors were knowledgeable and did an excellent job explaining concepts in a simple and understandable way. The hands-on exercises and projects were especially helpful and fun, as they allowed me to apply what I learned in a practical context.
React is difficult to learn. I appreciate that this project used multiple components of React to build on learning from the last module.

The SheCodes Plus workshop really helped me to develop my coding skills even further! The use of JavaScript is way more intense in this one, but it shows how powerful and dynamic this language can be. As usual, it is also important to point out that it's always appreciated that Matt takes you step by step along the lessons, otherwise, those who are very new to coding (like myself) may lose their footing. But, even if that happened, a member of the team would always help me in Slack :) I learnt a great deal and had fun working towards my final project! I am so looking forward to start with the next workshops now so I can learn how to use React!

I had a lot of fun building this website and applying everything that I learnt into one project. It was quite challenging to learn all of the different frameworks but it was worth the time and effort to build the skills.
I feel like I have gained a lot from the course, the lessons were quick and helpful and l always felt like l had support through slacker. I have a better grasp of what goes into building a website and found the course very interesting and insightful. I got to do the lessons at my own pace which was amazing and gave me the time to enjoy what I was learning.

Fantastic course, well paced with a plethora of information you can build on, its a practical learning course with a lot of examples and opportunities to build on understanding through independent studies. I feel much more confident about coding from this short course alone.
