During SheCodes Plus Add-on, I built a real-time world clock using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I learned how to work with time zones and apply JavaScript libraries to display accurate live times across different locations. Before starting SheCodes, I had zero knowledge of coding. The course was perfect for me because I could learn at my own paceโwhether that meant a slow and delayed start or speeding up when my life allowed. By the end of the course, I was able to code a webpage using the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I would absolutely recommend SheCodes to other women. It creates the same comfortable, empowering environment as a "females only" gym. You never have to worry about feeling "less than" or uncomfortable when asking for helpโit's a supportive space where you can learn without judgment.

I would definitely recommend this course. Starting with absolutely no experience in coding I was nervous at taking on this course, but wanted to take on a professional development challenge. Working on my 'AI Daily Challenge Generator' project has been an amazing experience. I wanted to build something that not only pushed my coding skills but also helped others stay motivated to learn new things every day. Integrating the AI API wasnโt easy, but I have learned so much along the way and it really stretched my problem-solving skills. Through this AI generator project, I explored AI tools, strengthened my coding abilities, and learned how to turn a simple idea into a functional project. Iโm really proud of what I was able to create with the step-by-step instructions of the wonderful teacher Matt Delac and I'm very excited that others can now use my daily challenge generator to get inspired too!

This course was very similar to the Basics course, with small variations through adding new css features. It was quite repetetive and a bit slower paced than Basics. However, you still learn many incredibly useful features to use when styling a website. Therefore, I would definitely recommend this!
I have already recommended this workshop to many people. With SheCodes, my understanding of tech and my curiosity to expand my knowledge further have been well guided and fed. Providing plenty of learning space and encouraging deeper research, while also keeping an empathetic and friendly environment that differentiates it from bootcamps and schools that would try too hard and end up tiring and confusing learners unnecessarily. I will say it again repetition as well as trial and error are what help you retain the knowledge. It was a good learning curve adjusting the code of my vanilla JS weather app to React. I built it with Vite since the suggested create-react-app has been deprecated, and the tutorial videos of this workshop haven't been updated in a few years it seems, so I wanted to try to learn up-to-date methods, which meant using React, Vite and Netlify documentation and YouTube videos to learn what I needed to complete this project in React.
The SheCodes React course was challenging and moved quickly. While the early weeks felt a little disorganized and not always aligned with the homework, the last two weeks returned to the strong SheCodes style Iโve seen in other classes, walking us through an app step by step. In the end, I gained the core React foundations I need for front-end development. If youโre considering it, expect a steep learning curve, but itโs worth it.
