SheCodes is the best course I have found. I never believed that I could build a web. In this course everything is shown very clearly, step by step, so it was not so hard to learn.

Upon searching for a job after graduation, I saw the need to expand on my skill set and how that could potentially be helpful with me getting a job. Coding was one of the high income and high in demand skill set that I was interested in while on my hunt for things I could learn. I was skeptical about how I would breakthrough in the industry seeing that I didn't carry a Computer Science degree. Upon further research i found sites and online schools that offered to teach the skills. I then stumbled upon SheCodes, which was said to be dedicated to helping women break into the tech industry. I was fortunate enough to get access to their foundation that would teach women the basics of coding. So far my interest for coding grew due to their easy to follow lessons, that help you to understand what coding is, even when you do not know what you are doing. The self paced method they use, not only helps me plan my days well while integrating the lessons in it, it also allowed me to feel in control of my work and also pace my deadlines to my own understanding. I enjoy learning coding with SheCodes and I will forever be grateful to them for allowing me to learn and grow with them

I was really nervous about starting a course while on maternity leave and whether I'd be able to fit it in around looking after my 6month old but I've had the best time! This workshop was very helpful and I learnt a lot about job searching.
The workshop was very clear to follow and at some point it got super intense. However, if you watch the video properly you would be able to figure out a way. I learnt a lot about how to use API and also targeting each element of the code. Additionally for me I learnt that checking your spelling is very important cause I was stuck for 2 hours and found out that I ONLY spelled one word wrong! So if you don't want to make the same mistake install Code Spell Checker extension.
I HIGHLY recommend this workshop who wants to learn how to code, but in an easy and fun way! 10/10 also who is a complete beginner. I always thought coding was so difficult but Matt is a fantastic teacher and explains his lessons so clearly. Also if you get stuck, SheCodes team is ready to help you! After taking a little while away, I've felt comfortable getting back into the course as Matt is consistently reminding you of things that can be easily forgotten and always explaining everything fully. The SheCodes community is wonderful to be a part of, you always feel supported and comfortable in asking any questions and making mistakes which is a major part of learning. I found the plus add on so inspiring and it has given me an absolute passion for coding!
SheCodes Plus required more time, patience, and dedication than the first course that I took in SheCodes. It was all worth it. It is a completely different area for me, and the older I get, the harder it is to acquire new knowledge. Trying to balance all the things that life demands and your mental health can be a difficult challenge. I had to postpone a few times, but in the end, it all worked out. I love the way Matt explains it because it's clear, it makes sense and the lessons are straight to the point. It feels like you are talking to a very nice friend. It's also important to mention that he teaches how to investigate the problem when something is not working. I will do other courses in SheCodes. I expect to get better, learn more things, and improve my knowledge. I highly recommend SheCodes.

We usually have the wrong idea about coding: it's all Math and you need to be super intelligent and nerdy to do it. I have a Bachelor in Languages so I never thought coding was for me. That was only until I joined SheCodes free class and then took on SheCodes Basic. I'm glad to have stepped out of my comfort zone! I believe the more advanced workshops need to be taken to start working with coding (never stop learning!). But I do see practical applications in my day-to-day of the new skills I've just acquired! Thank you!

I have gained vital coding skills but I have also learnt to be more patient with myself, I have learnt to embrace not knowing ,I have learnt to accept that sometimes learning something once is not enough and I might not grasp it all at once but I can keep trying because I will get it .
This course was great! I loved the flexibility! Life happened many times and I kept pushing my start date back until over a year after I signed up, and then again a few times once I started. But because of this I was able to actually do the work and learn from the class! I really appreciate that I was able to do this class for my own enrichment amongst my insane and unpredictable schedule and not have to stress! Perhaps once things calm down again I'll take another class, it was fun to see a final project using all the techniques I learned!

I loved the extra information I have learned through the basics add on package. This course was a big surprise for me! I have always wanted to learn to program but never got around to it. She codes has helped me discover how much I enjoy it and has motivated me to continue learning and pursuing this newfound passion.
I'm not going to lie, this section was not easy...however, it is not impossible either. I think the best part about SheCodes are the resources available when you need help. I found that from time to time, Matt would go over something and occasionally go back and forth about decisions. This can be challenging to say the least. That being said, it is important to remember that there is a ton of information and realize this will not be memorized or fully learned overnight. Patience is key!
