The React workshop was really helpful in learning and understand this program. Very hands-on and I really like that the final project was very straight forward and similar to the one from the Plus Workshop.
This new part of the program was really interesting. Using AI was something I couldnβt imagine before, but once I understood the mechanism, it was quite simple (itβs basically an API call). I tried to challenge myself with slightly more complex things. It took more time, but it was exciting! Iβve learned so much, and itβs so interesting!
This was an interesting workshop, the first coding workshop I have ever tried. I can't wait to learn more and apply what I have learnt so far and seeing how the final product of all the workshops will be. I feel empowered and supported to learn even more through the foundation.

Iβve tried learning coding in the past to see if it was something I truly enjoyed. While I started to develop an interest, I always struggled to keep up. Meeting CSS for the first time was really scary for me but I learnt that going over the tutorials videos over and over again helps me understand what I was struggling with better.
I wasn't sure what would come of the "Basic" class, but I surprised myself on the final project. It can be a bit overwhelming if you are new to this like I am, but I took it in strides. Matt makes it easy with the lessons being very short and to the point. These classes make it suitable for anyone to learn on their time. I figured I would try the first course and see how it went -by week two I signed up for all the classes. Really looking forward to my future.

Becoming a developer is something that has been a goal of mine for a few years now. I'm not one to go take a college course and in my opinion, shecodes is a better way for me to learn how to code because of my flexible schedule. The curriculum is really good based on the lessons and assignments I have completed. I retained the material with little problems.
As a student, stepping out of my comfort zone was exciting. Coding became something to look forward to during recess. Learning extra skills was a good adrenaline pumper.

I have been a stay at home mom for the past 8 years. Now that my children are getting older I wanted to do something for me and learn something new. I have been interested in learning to code for 2 years before joining She Codes. I am so glad that I found She Codes! Learning to code this way is easy to understand and it is something I am able to maintain while still caring for my family full time.
My SheCodes journey over the past 6 weeks has been a rollercoaster. I struggled a lot, often postponing my work until I was left with only two opportunities to reschedule. Despite my busy schedule, I found enjoyment in the process. The last week, however, was particularly tough. I faced many challenges with the API, and since my project was different from what was taught, I had to approach some tasks in my own way. At first Python seemed like a very strict, unfriendly language, but that is really not the case. Through every advanced lesson I saw that Python is actually fun , Python is actually friendly.
