As a beginner coder, building this Salsa webpage has been such an exciting learning journey. This project helped me understand how HTML, CSS, and JavaScript work together to create a real, interactive website. With HTML, I learned to structure my page with headings, images, and buttons. Using CSS, I styled everything β adding colors, hover effects, and even a dark theme that makes the page look modern. The most exciting part was using JavaScript to bring the page to life: when I click the button, the background theme changes, and the βLearn Salsaβ button interacts with the user by asking their name and details. At first, I struggled with small mistakes like typos and selecting the right button, but fixing those helped me gain confidence in debugging and problem-solving. This project showed me that even as a beginner, I can already create something fun, interactive, and meaningful. Itβs proof that with just the basics of web development, you can build a working application that feels professional. Iβm really proud of how far Iβve come!
I've just completed SheCodes Plus! Even though my JS knowledge is still rough, I feel like I'm starting to slowly understand the logic behind it. It shows that through a steady pace-learning, you can do so much progress.

The hands-on projects, clear explanations, and real-world examples made learning JavaScript, HTML, and CSS both fun and practical. I especially loved the repetition method, which was really helpful for JavaScript, it can be tricky to understand at first, but after revisiting each topic in multiple lessons, everything started to make sense.
I have no prior experience in coding, and my profession specialises in a totally different field. I decided to enrol in this course to develop skills and gain knowledge in technology, which is becoming an important part of our everyday life. I want to prepare myself to take on tech-related opportunities that may arise in the future. I want to have career pathway options and secure my future. I just finished the SheCodes Basics, and I know that I have a long way to go. But this course has been fun and informative. I thoroughly enjoyed the activities, and working on my final project was fun and satisfying. This is just the beginning. I am looking forward learning more!
What I learned the most in this course is that 'default' and 'devault' may rhyme in German, but in JavaScript they rhyme with undefined (just kidding). Like Matt said at the end of SheCodes Plus, the project itself may look simple, but the journey it's a little bit more complicated than that. Along with SheCodes training, I watched support material, burned through all my hosting credits, which led me to a side quest through CloudFlare setup training + GitHub repo literacy. In the end, my little vanilla weather app not only works, it also gained much more confidence, each bug fixed, each feature added made the whole process feel more real.

This year I wanted a way to capture and share memories from an upcoming camp without relying on others for photos. That idea sparked something bigger. I thought, why not create an app where everyone can collect and share their pictures in a fun, interactive way? But the problem was, I didnβt know how to code. I could design on Canva, but building an app felt impossible, especially since I couldnβt afford to hire someone. So I started looking into web design programs and discovered SheCodes, and signed up. Now, Iβm close to finishing my app using everything Iβve learned. I love that SheCodes lets me work at my own pace but still keeps me accountable with project deadlines. Even when I wasnβt ready, I could ask for extensions instead of giving up.Iβm so glad I chose this platform itβs made learning to code both accessible and enjoyable.

In this course I learned so much about React. I learnt to create React components, to use the API responses and looping through them. It wasn't the easiest class but It is really worth.
SheCodes Plus was awesome! I learned a lot of new things in HTML, CSS and JS, which allowed me to create my own weather app (even though it's simple, I'm really proud of making it myselfπ). It was fascinating to learn how APIs work, and I really appreciate how Matt Delac explains everything so clearly and in detail, it made even the tricky parts much easier to understand. Concepts like selecting the right time zone and updating the current time on a set interval finally clicked. Honestly, doing all of this on my own wouldβve been very difficult without the step-by-step guidance of the SheCodes instructor Matt Delac. But along the way I picked up a ton: cleaner structure and clearer logic. Now I feel confident enough to rebuild the whole World Clock from scratch. Iβm proud of how far Iβve come and excited to keep going.
