From Debugging to "Done" - My SheCodes Journey Taking on the SheCodes weather app challenge has been one of the most empowering things I've ever done.What started as a simple assignment turned into a personal project full of heart, transformation, and late-night breakthroughs (and breakdowns too- but we survived.!) I learned how to build a weather app using real-time APIs, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Axios. But more than the app, I discovered just how much creativity, resilience, and passion I could pour into code. My final project, Phoenix Skies, is a reflection of everything I've become- elegant, reborn, and ready to rise. A huge shoutout to SheCodes team and the supportive community, and yes- even my bugs- for helping me grow into the confident, butterfly-winged developer I am today. Super excited! Having not completed any structured learning in a very long time I was nervous about how I would get on with this course. Great hands-on approach to learning JavaScript and APIs This course really helped me understand how to connect APIs to my code, which was honestly the most challenging part at first. The instructor breaks down complex concepts well, and I appreciated the practical projects that let you build real applications. The API integration section was tough initially - I struggled with understanding how to structure the requests and handle responses properly. But the more I practised with different APIs, the more comfortable I became with the syntax and error handling. Now I enjoy working with APIs just a little bit more! The course gives you solid foundations in JavaScript while teaching you to build projects you can actually showcase. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to get comfortable with front-end development and API integration.

She Codes Plus Add-On is yet another excellent workshop that expands and deepens your coding knowledge. Throughout the workshop, we explored advanced topics in HTML and JavaScript. We learned all about HTML input types, which improve form usability, and the HTML select element, essential for dropdown menus. Whilst looking at JavaScript we learned all about timing events, how to date formats and handle time zones. Overall, this workshop is well-structured, engaging, and practical, making it a great choice for those looking to expand their coding skill set.

The online platform is very well designed and the structure of the course was easy to follow and the practical challenges at the end of each section worked really well for my learning style and helped to implement the skills and knowledge learned. Can't wait to complete the rest of the bootcamp!
