I was nervous about self-paced education, but this was really helpful to me! I like that Matt gives examples in the videos but instructs to create our own design, so we can learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript from our own experimentation.
This was a super fun workshop, and I loved building a multipage website/portfolio as the final project - it really pulled together everything we've been taught since the Basic workshops, and I got a real sense of just how much I've learned so far. Also, I really liked learning how to use Bootstrap π€
Taking this bootcamp has been the best leap Iβve taken for my career. I was self-teaching coding before this but wanted something to really push me and keep me accountable, and this program definitely did that. A big factor in my positive experience was having an amazing instructor like Matt who is genuinely passionate about coding. I'm grateful for what I learned and thankful for this experience which changed my life.
Responsive add-on was a very fun project to work on. It was interesting to build a responsive landing page with no bootstrap. In life we learn that less is more and this project truly showed that.
Learning about the AI & API has been enlightening, along with HTML,CSS,JavaScript. From crafting beautiful web interfaces to understanding AI's potential, each step has unlocked mew possibilities. Embracing collaboration through GitHub has honed my skills while empowering me to innovate & create solutions for the future.
The Basic Add On workshop had even more learning, great lessons and a fun project to work on at the end of the course! Definitely would recommend taking Basic Add On in addition to the Basic workshop that is offered!

Learning is one thing but replicating or creating something from scratch with comprehension is another thing. Coding requires logic and continuing the journey requires persistence. Coding is challenging, and requires time, effort, and trial and error. Passion is not necessary but it can help. So why do I love coding or continue to find myself doing this? I believe its because I can bring an idea to life by words. We do not hear this a lot but coding and creativity sounds like two different worlds which in fact work well together. Advanced CSS and JS was a beast together with codesandbox, but I was an even greater beast! I fought, I almost quit, but kept on fighting and here I am. Someone previously commented "Be encouraged and keep at it!", a special thank you to them, due to the particular comment amongst many other things I kept fighting. Moreover, I cannot get enough of the lessons, I just want to keep doing them. I like to say "There is so much to learn and see," I love learning and SheCodes Plus definitely had a lot of learning. I cannot wait for the next phase, I cannot help but wonder what other interesting things are there for me. I then applied to the Delac Foundation. A few weeks later, I was notified that I will be starting the coding journey soon. It was an experience out of this world.Everything I learnt so far has fueled up a desire to learn more. I just wanted to share a quick note and let you know that SheCodes does a really good job. I'm glad I got chance to work with you and learn from you. It's really great how easy you make complex topics easy to understand.This Adds-On workshop intrigued me the most, I have learnt many styling properties in this workshop.
At first, I was very intimidated learning how to code. at the moment, I am 39 years old with a 11 month old baby, and pregnant! It has been slightly difficult to find the time to keep up with the workshops. But thankfully with SheCodes, I am able to extend my deadlines so I can keep up with the class. I honestly considered just giving up, due to only having uninterrupted time in the late hours. I'm glad I reconsidered and completed my first two workshops. I was astonished by how much information I memorized, even after taking an unexpected break due to health issues. Matt Delac is a great teacher and pays attention to detail, which helps me learn and memorize with clarity. I like that I am able to go back and relearn a specific lesson instead of being left struggling to figure it out.
I really loved this part of the course! It was a great way to build on skills I'd already learned.
I've tried to learn Javascript many times over the years and I never had that easy of a time. Matt has made it where I can learn Javascript and where it makes sense!
