Lots of nights going to bed in the am's. Iโve learnt so much, most importantly the program is very rewarding. I have learnt to appreciate and interact with websites differently. The mind is a wonderful tool when exercised, and this section of the program has made me feel like I'm on the right path.
In his book Atomic Habits, author James Clear mentions the research work of psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi on "flow states." The idea is that humans do best when a task is about 4-5% greater than their current abilities, enough to be engaged and prevent boredom but not so challenging that the person gets frustrated and gives up. Matt has a very good intuition for this. Each lesson or challenge contains just enough of an increase in difficulty to build confidence and encourage the student to keep learning.
I really enjoyed this workshop, it was very informative, and interesting. I learned a lot and canโt wait for what's next! ๐

Building the React Weather App was such a fun project! I got to use everything Iโve learned about React โ hooks, APIs, and responsive design โ and it was so satisfying to see live weather data update in real time. It really boosted my confidence in creating interactive apps from scratch.
My SheCodes journey has truly been life-changing. When I started, I knew very little about coding, but SheCodes gave me the confidence and support to believe that I could build real projects on my own. From learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to creating my very first weather app, Iโve grown so much not just as a coder, but as a problem-solver and creative thinker.

Really enjoyed this course and building on my skills from SheCodes Basic. I love the teaching method, resources and flexibility of SheCodes, it really suits my learning style and I had to take an unexpected break during this course and it was great to be able to request extensions and pick it back up once I was ready to continue.
Learning basic coding has been an eye-opening experience. It taught me how logic and creativity work together to solve problems and build something from scratch. Even simple projects, like creating a webpage gave me a sense of accomplishment and confidence. Coding has also improved my critical thinking, patience, and attention to detail. These skills that are useful far beyond the computer screen.
With this add-on, you learn to make a responsive project on your own and without the bootstrap system, very interesting to show it this way.
Shecodes approach for teaching coding is tremendous. During learning, we had to do the assignments otherwise we could not jump to the next one. I personally watch only videos instead of practicing which is not a good habit but this method of Matt forces students to practice. I love the everything. The past few weeks on this have been an incredible learning experience! From revising HTML/CSS/JS to diving into APIs and using them to integrate data into the app, the design of this workshop was very helpful. Having the chance to work on the project alongside Matt, who was working on his own, made a huge difference. It helped avoid bugs and provided the benefit of having a (kind of) coding partner. The explanations were thorough and easy to follow. This workshop will be especially enjoyable for anyone looking for a challenge, and the results will leave you feeling really proud of what you have accomplished!

I am amazed at how this learning process has given me the confidence to code an entire website. The last time I did it, I used WordPress, and everything seemed so confusing โ doable, but confusing, because I didnโt understand the background of what I was doing. But now, I can build it from scratch and personalize everything I need and want. This is the first step in the creation of my portfolio website and, as an Architect, a step that gives me full freedom to display my Projects in the way I see fit for them. Building this World Clock was a great learning experience. Implementing real-time clocks, time zones, and dynamic city selection strengthened my JavaScript and DOM skills.

Iโve been following SheCodes for months, but I was initially skeptical of yet another online course. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Right from the start, you get a solid introduction that sets the tone, followed by a well-structured course with clear, comprehensive explanations and assignments that reinforce what youโve learned. The homework and final project are especially valuable. They help you apply the know-how in a different context, which really deepens your understanding. Itโs fun, engaging, and very focused on quickly enabling users to start building and experimenting. As a Product Owner who casually designs customer journeys, including automated email flows, I can already see how this will support my work.
Python Advance really pushed and challenged me. Having an understanding of Javascript helped but Python language is different. I enjoyed learning how to create plots. Python has endless possibilities.

The lessons are so easy to follow and I love that you are encouraged to troubleshoot things yourself as much as possible - I even learned some new things whilst looking up solutions to my problems. The React workshop was a solid learning experience. I came in with basic front-end skills and left with a much clearer understanding of how React works โ from components and props to working with APIs and managing state. The structure of the lessons made it easy to follow, and I appreciated being able to build something real along the way. My weather app project gave me a chance to apply what I learned and add my own design touches, which made the process more engaging. Overall, it was a practical and well-paced introduction to React. Iโd recommend it to anyone looking to get hands-on with modern front-end development.
The Basics Add-on workshop was very informative and helps one sharpen their coding skills even more. It's a little advanced compared to the SheCodes basics workshop/course, and the things you learn will allow you to explore the endless creative possibilities coding can offer.

Learning React has been a monumental feat for me. At first, I found it incredibly challenging โ I had to slow down, revisit lessons, and even rebuild the weather app from scratch just to understand what was happening behind the scenes. Debugging felt overwhelming at times, especially when I didnโt understand the error messages popping up on the screen. Along the way, I learned not only how to write React code but also how to think like a developer โ how to troubleshoot, stay patient, and celebrate small wins. The process taught me persistence and problem-solving. In the end, I accomplished something I honestly didnโt think I could do: I built a fully functioning app.
