This was my first time ever trying to code and Matt was a great instructor with straight forward and easy to follow lessons. I really enjoyed the course and had fun learning from it and from other students on Slack. This course was extra special because for the first time in months I felt like I was able to achieve something without feeling overwhelmed or discouraged and that meant a lot for me. Before joining SheCodes i was a little scared of Javascript as i have heard people say it was very tough. My instructor Matt turned that fear into confidence as he taught it in a way that it was very easy for me to understand. I had an amazing time during this SheCodes Basics and i can already code with confidence. I can't wait to see what the other packages have in store for me!
I learned a lot from the class eventhough its an intro class. The instructors in the slack were super helpful and valuable to my learning in this program. Overall, I recommend 10/10!
The course's format is efficient: frequent challenges, weekly homework and final projects alongside with clear instructions from the instructor; very supportive technician team giving quick solutions/explanation. I have learnt a lot by practicing almost daily.
After months of using other learning platforms, I found SheCodes to be the best platform available! I've always wanted to learn more about coding but, wrongly, I thought it was closely linked to math and that was enough to scare me off. I've attended to a workshop months ago held by my my employer, where there was this girl talking about how exciting the life of a Front End developer is and that she learned it from scratch, highlighting that no math's involved in the process. I then came across SheCodes and a huge THANK YOU is due. Matt is a great instructor, thanks for your effort and your revolutionary project and thank you for letting me aware that is never too late! At the end of the workshop I couldn't believe how much I had learnt. It seemed really bulky initially but with the instructors step by step approach, I was able to understand relatively fast.

I thoroughly enjoyed taking the self-paced Basics class at SheCodes. Matt is an awesome instructor and while classes are pre-recorded, I felt as if they were live because Matt was engaging, entertaining, and really broke down concepts to make them understandable. I loved having the lessons and homework as a I learn by doing. I also had a ton of support with the SheCodes Slack community and was able to ask for help when needed or check the threads for tips and guidance on assignments.

I appreciate how SheCodes doesn't underestimate the participants. In most coding courses I've followed, you have to 'copy the instructor', but here you get a challenge where you have to apply what you've learnt in a different scenario than the explanation video. I've had a lot of fun with the homework; and that's a first! The freedom you get in your solutions is great, since you don't have to deliver an exact match. If you have a solution that's slightly different than the suggested one, that's no problem at all!

I loved my learning experience with SheCodes! Matt is a great instructor, you can tell he has led the course already by the way he explains areas where students typically have questions or get hung up, which I really appreciated. He was able to anticipate confusion which shows that Matt and the team are in touch with students and where common struggles are happening. An amazing course! The first time I built an App with an API, I was honestly just following in the instructor's footsteps, but on the third app I felt I could do it all by myself!
I'd been thinking about learning to code for a while now, actually ever since I got a targeted ad on Instagram from SheCodes about four months ago π I did some research about different courses, and ended up deciding that not only was SheCodes more affordable than most of the other courses I looked at, but I really liked the idea of how it is set up. The breakdown of ideas is very logical, and incorporating a challenge at the end of each lesson pushed me to actually apply what I had just learned and play around a bit. Also, a HUGE thing for me was access to the slack channels to ask and answer questions. As someone who always had their hand up in school, I was nervous about taking an online course without instructors present to answer my questions. Using the slack channel for my questions was so easy and incredibly helpful! I've also been finding it fun to respond to other people's questions now that I know a bit about what's going on! I am very excited to continue learning with SheCodes.

I remember doing a coding class in college, but the instructor was not patient with beginners and I honestly didn't take anything away from the class. However, SheCodes made learning very easy to remember. I loved the layout of this bootcamp; going through lessons, then challenges, lastly the solution. It made me rely on my problem solving skills a lot more. I only used Slack one time; everything else I found via Google. It really is a coders best friend!

This is a very cool workshop. I highly recommend it and I most definitely will continue on to the next SheCodes workshop. The lessons are very well structured and Matt is a very good instructor. I took an HTML course a while back but I was rusty because I hadn't used it in years. Now that has changed and all I can say is that re-learning HTML, CSS, and JS has been very enjoyable and it will certainly be of value to my career.

Short concise videos, by a benevolent instructor. Recommend if you have time to absorb new material at a fast pace. He allows his students to think for themselves and use the search engine of their choice to become resourceful in finding their answers to their questions. Was it easy, nope it wasn't but it was simplified for anyone to understand and the good news is that when stuck, the team comes to your rescue. We have a wonderful instructor in Matt and a wonderful team in SheCodes without which I am not sure I would have been able to do this as other coding lessons made coding too complicated but here I am today enjoying coding with SheCodes. I am glad on the new path I have chosen, it is something I enjoyed doing and I will do it over and over again I want to use this opportunity to encourage every female out there who wants to code but is scared, don't be scared anymore, SheCodes got you covered, if I can, then you can.
The workshop for beginners is really beginners-friendly! All lessons are short, good structured and easy to understand. The instructor is supporting and always encourages you to explore a subject, discover different ways of solving the same situation and not to be afraid of making mistake which keeps you motivated a lot. I didn't imagine that coding is something that I could ever learn; I have always thought that it is a very complicated subject and only those good in math or "engineers" can understand it. But as I started the lessons I began to see that it can be an interesting and fun experience. SheCodes lessons were divided into a few minutes per topic so the student wouldnβt be overwhelmed. There were challenges at the end of each lesson so it served as a review and to practice what I understood about the topic. Matt is also a great instructor; he was able to explain things very well, in a simple and clear manner. I found myself looking forward to watching each lesson!
