As a complete beginner with no prior knowledge in coding, I was initially intimidated by the thought of learning how to code. However, the course I took was designed in a way that made it easy to understand even for someone with no background in coding. The lessons were well-structured and the instructors were very patient in explaining the concepts. The course started with the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and gradually built upon that foundation, allowing me to gradually gain confidence in my abilities. The course also provided plenty of hands-on exercises and projects, which helped me to apply what I had learned and solidify my understanding. Overall, the course was a great introduction to the world of coding and I feel much more comfortable diving deeper into coding.
I loved how SheCodes had short videos that didn't feel overwhelming and you could watch at your own time. There is always help available when you need it but I think when your code is not working and giving you the result you want, trying to figure out what is wrong helps you learn better! Matt is a great instructor that makes coding really fun and exciting. Would definitely recommend this course!

My husband is a web developer and has always encouraged me to learn how to code. I wasn't sure if I would like it so was looking for an introductory course that I could fit around working and being a mom of two young kids. I would highly recommend SheCodes for anyone interested in learning to code! The lessons are easy to follow, Matt is a great instructor, you have a ton of support through the Slack channels, and the semi-self paced nature of the courses provides structure to keep you on track but allows you to work on your own schedule.
The course needs more in depth explanations of why the instructor is making certain choices instead of the phrase "trust me" which is used many times. For the price, I feel the course should offer a lot more information on how React actually works, currently it seems that it is a very "copy what I do" style of teaching which in the long run is not helpful for aspiring devs.
The course module was easy to understand and follow. I have tried similar courses before and found this to be the best. Matt is a great instructor.

I really liked the SheCodes workshop. Matt kept the lessons easy to understand. He was a great instructor. I also liked that you had always a homework to submit because that keeps you practicing. I once needed help with something and I asked for help on Slack within an hour or so I got an response it was really helpful. The Slack community is great. Great! Videos are very clear. Much better than Udemy. I have personally attended some local courses and i do not find it as good as this. The instructor managed to break things down really simply. The Slack channel is useful and you almost always get a reply.
I enjoyed this course very much, for someone new to coding, this workshop was fairly easy to follow. Each task allowed me to practice and advance my coding skills; the instructor did an amazing job explaining the content in a short but comprehensive way. Specifically, creating the weather app for the final project was a really fun challenge.

One of my favorite things about SheCodes, is the time and content management in sessions. the lessons just long enough to deliver the main idea; after which, you will be able to learn more by spending more time studying the extra references and examples, or keep going on with your current knowledge. The videos are short and sweet and to the point, but to the point and practical; so no more long boring tutorials, but also no more tutorials in which the instructor just doesnβt go through the important steps and leaves you with so many questions and Errors in your code. As someone with a full time job who is also pursuing a masterβs degree, I especially recommend SheCodes and itβs method/system of education to people who struggle to find the time for learning. Also, I already had some coding base, and having seen some other courses and methods, I believe that THIS can be a great place to start for the absolute beginners.

SheCodes provided simple and easy to understand tools, demonstrations, and platforms to use to ensure my success. Each lesson is broken down into short tutorials which held my attention and made it easier for me to refer back to specific topics when I needed to. As a busy mother who has to stop and go throughout the day, I did not feel overwhelmed with the lessons and challenges and I was actually excited to learn more and more each day. I found this course to be pretty fun. But it's definitely pretty fast paced. I would've struggled if I hadn't already learned some basic html and CSS through other platforms. But I really enjoyed all the challenges and homework. I felt like with other platforms I was just coding along and doing what the instructor did. This platform allows you to learn and try out what you've learned, which is what makes instruction stick. I'm excited to go through to the next few workshops!

The Basics workshop exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this program for busy women to learn code on a part-time basis.
