I recently completed the SheCodes program, led by Matt, and it was an incredible experience. I was able to learn a lot of excellent fundamental coding skills in just three weeks which have helped me feel more confident making the transition into tech. Matt was an excellent instructor and clearly and concisely explained each topic. He also gave us plenty of time to practice our newfound skills with fun exercises. During the SheCodes Plus Workshop I had the opportunity to build a weather app using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The experience was both challenging and fun, and I learned a lot along the way (Bootstrap, Github, API). The format of the workshop was excellent, and I enjoyed creating the weather app despite the difficulty. I found that Matt, our instructor, did an excellent job of explaining each element and function clearly, making it easy for everyone to understand JavaScript.

As a homeschool mom of 2 I wasn't sure if I would have the time to try to learn to code. This course filled in the gaps from previous coding classes that I took. The instructor really explains the concept and tests your knowledge after each concept and at the end of the week you put everything together to show how these items work together in a real example. I have learned to start simple and then add my format and styling elements one piece at a time to understand where I have made errors and to easily fix them.

Shecodes is the best platform you can learn to code grom you can get, Matt is one of the greatest instructor i have ever had the honor to learn from. I am happy to have come this far in this journey.

I started this adventure a bit skeptical because I have low vision and I always thought that this would not allow me to learn something that requires as much detail as coding.
