The lessons were well structured and were divided into convenient parts. It was also good that there was something in each homework that we had not learned yet, so that we could practice searching/finding on the Internet. I'm looking forward to the next course.
Challenging! It was a tougher module, but I was able to look at others' examples, so it helped. I would suggest taking a lot more time for the homework since it will help with the final project.
I have really enjoyed the 3 weeks course. I started knowing nothing about coding; it looked very daunting and overwhelming however now I can't wait to start the next level and learn more! I appreciate the homework projects we have to submit as it keeps me on the ball. I have recommended this course to many people and will continue to do so.
It's great that we got to learn how to make a real weather app from scratch, learning things like flex box, google fonts and API integration, web hosting using Netlify etc. All lessons and homework are very helpful as usual!
I cannot recommend the SheCodes Responsive Workshop enough! π As someone with minimal coding experience, I was initially intimidated by the idea of learning responsive web design. However, SheCodes made the entire learning process incredibly accessible, engaging, and most importantly, fun! π Matt was super knowledgeable, relatable and patient throughout the teaching lessons. What I loved most was how hands-on the learning wasβwe did challenges, homework, and eventually a real-life project which helped me understand everything better and literally, the highlight of each workshop. I had the opportunity to learn coding in high school but refused because I thought it was complicated. This course was fun to go through and learn the basics of HTML, CSS, and Java. I like that the deadlines for homework help keep you accountable so you don't end up slacking off.
I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this course. I was slightly apprehensive when I started, and worried the instructions would be confusing/unclear. However, I found the structure of the course to be straightforward to follow, and all of the challenges/homework had very clear guidelines of what was expected.

She codes has been such a wonderful starting place for me! I hadn't ever done anything with coding prior to starting this program and I was a little bit nervous I wouldn't understand. However, between the easy to understand lessons, the interactive homework and the help from individuals in slack I had nothing to be nervous about.
This has been the best workshop. It was fun working on the challenges and homeworks, the videos were well explained. Not forgetting the slack community which came through whenever i got stuck. I learned so much in this workshop in such a short time. I couldn't have done that in any other course. This workshop was the deal for me. I am working a full-time job and for quite some time now I wanted to see if coding was for me. I took the Basic course not knowing what to expect and in 2 weeks' time decided that web development was what I wanted to do. I applied for the SheCodes Max while still taking the basic course. I can't recommend it enough, it is a perfect method for learning (lesson + homework + solution) and it keeps you accountable to show up every day, even for a bit, but it makes a difference. Plus the community is amazing! Both tutors and other students are really friendly and help you out with technical questions and more. Would suggest it 100%
I had two major problems with this course. First, they don't teach you how to display the current weather and forecast in both Celsius and Fahrenheit (they only teach you how to do it for the current weather). Second, I had a full stack software engineer who also mentors software engineers review the code and he said it was really bad code. That we were taught really bad practices. Considering my only exposure to coding has been SheCodes and I followed along with Matt, I believe this reflects badly on the curriculum. I have done the entire SheCodes program, from the basics to the max workshops. They have a team that reviews the homework assignments and give you either a thumbs up or a thumbs down if it was done correctly. I have only ever received a thumbs up. I am really disappointed. The whole purpose of me joining SheCodes was to prepare myself for a career change. Now, I have to start over from scratch trying to learn clean coding practices.
It was my first time with coding and the workshop was really easy to understand and to follow and you can learn at your own pace, which was something that I really enjoyed. I also enjoyed very much the challenges after each lesson and the homeworks. Seeing how my code turns out is very satisfying and it gave me a lot of pleasure to do the final project.

Wow, I cannot believe I have completed the full Max curriculum! I have learnt so much since starting and can now create webpages and webapps with different coding languages and tools. I was very much looking forward to my SheCodes Max experience in hopes of transitioning into a new career as a front-end developer in the future. I had a positive experience in the basics course ( although I did wonder if they would actually give detailed support and feedback on your progress going forward) as this didn't appear to be present in spite of the website and course outlines claiming that feedback, support and homework reviews are a part of the courses. It seems they use the basics course to lure people into paying for the larger courses without then delivering on quality and support or content and then hit you with their discreet "NO REFUND" policy if you question their lack of delivery on their service promises. The course was shockingly poor with absolutely zero support available. The course encourages you to copy and paste code into your solutions, for homework and projects and the team do not care if you understand the material. I struggled through 9 weeks all the while asking for support and explanations and all I got in response was invalidating and patronising responses from the so-called customer success team. I put in 35 hours plus per week to try and understand the content, doing my own research online and buying books. I knew I could not successfully achieve my outcomes with this course platform to become a front-end developer without any support or tutors to help me. The videos were outdated from 2015 which also made learning the content even more confusing. They have x2 technicians who are supposed to answer questions on Slack of 100's of students, responses coming hours and days later with simple responses asking you to copy and paste code with no explanations to help you understand. I asked for a refund as I paid Β£1084 for SheCodes Max and had not learned anything in 9 weeks. I was hit with the company's hidden "NO REFUND POLICY" Be careful! I did manage to get them to return some of the money but still wasted almost Β£500 on 9 weeks of hard work, struggling alone to gain nothing at the end of it but back and forth invalidating communication from the team. I will not recommend this course or company to people who seriously want to learn coding.
This program has been great and I love that I have homework on actual due dates - a lot of online courses let you work as you go with zero due dates and I these dues dates have been keeping me in CHECK! I am here for the whole she-bang and doing every single workshop and add-on projects and Imma take a stab at the CHALLENGE PROJECTS!

I loved that there are challenges after most of the teaching videos. This is the best teaching style for me. You implement what you learn. I also like that it is self-paced although there is a deadline for submitting the weekly homeworks and the final project. I am truely happy that I came across SheCodes a couple of weeks ago. I have always been somewhat curious about coding, but never had the guts to participate in any sort of education around it, since I feared the feeling of embarassment if I wouldn't get the hang of it right away. SheCodes for me has the perfect balance of providing deadlines yet also enables participant to work on the lessons/challenges/homework whenever best suitable for them (/us). I had to postpone one of my homework deadlines and was really happy how easy that was, too. Zero stress added to the already stressful daily life at work and other things going on - life pretty much. Now that I have completed my first course I am determined to book another one soon. I have been a nurse for last 20 years. Due to my medical condition its getting to difficult for me to work and do what I loved. So I stumbled upon the 60mts session my Matt which came across as very comprehensive, interesting and very easy to follow along which made me to join the Basic course.
