SheCodes is a wonderful program. The tutorials are great and the homework is challenging but very doable. The final project is a fantastic way to culminate what you've learned and put it to use in a real world application. SheCodes has given me confidence not only in my skills but in my ability to find the answers I'm looking for when I'm stuck. I can't wait to keep coding and I'm so eager to learn more. SheCodes was an amazing experience...I was a bit terrified that I couldn't keep up, but Matt and all the team are really extraordinary! The course pacing is just perfect for you to understand everything, and all the challenges, homeworks and project are a fantastic way of practicing all you've learned. This a very valuable experience, gave me more tools to evolve profesisonally...and what can seem at the beginning like a seven-headed monster can be actually really fun to learn!
I really enjoyed attending this workshop! I didn't know anything about coding. At first, I thought it would be really difficult, but after attending the workshop, doing the homework and following the tutorials, available on the SheCodes website, I managed to do my own landing page from scratch! I was so proud of myself!
She Codes model, in my opinion, works very well and itβs a very well-built course that focus mainly on practice classes, where you have challenges and homework every week that forces you to actually code and put into practice what youβve learned. I really enjoy the fact that classes are online and recorded, so we could see the videos many times if we had doubts. Also, I think the price is very competitive considering all other market offers and you really learn useful things and not a ton of unnecessary theory. Really enjoyed my time here and learned a lot! Definitely want to continue learning. Thank you Matt and the whole team!
SheCodes Plus was great because I could develop what I initially started in SheCodes - Lisbon. The online platform was very well organized. The rewatchable Tuesday classes, the challenges videos + the exercises sequences helped me a lot to prepare myself to do the weekly homework. Never in my life I thought I could actually be capable of building a proper app, with real time information. This workshop sometimes was "sweat, blood and tears" but when I got things done and working it was a huge feeling of accomplishment! I strongly recommend this to all women who want to have a real understanding of what really is Front-End Development and its frameworks. SheCodes gave me the tools and now it's up to me to keep on learning! It boosted my confidence to pursue this as a career change! Thank you Matt, JoΓ£o and all the SheCodes staff!
This Workshop helped me to understand and develop my skills in JavaScript and React. The classes were great to have an overall view of each week's topics and having weekly challenges and homework allowed me to practice and really learn more. This course is very well structured.
I've really enjoyed the online coding workshop and I can not believe how much I've learned in such a short period of time. Matt is a great instructor, he has provided high-quality course materials with accompanying challenges and homework. He also gave lots of useful tips throughout the workshop including how to search to get the best results and how to use the keyboard more efficiently. I took my first steps towards becoming a developer thanks to SheCodes and cannot wait to continue with the other SheCodes courses to learn more!
SheCodes helped me to understand better the basics of coding. The amount of homework and lessons were perfect to combine with your work or duty activities.
I attended to SheCodes Live Workshop, so I can only talk about that. The course itself is instructed nicely, however I believe the curriculum was not very well suited to the amount of money that you pay (at my time it was 99 euros). you are going to have Courses and homeworks for 2 weeks, and the whole third week is dedicated to your final project, which I believe it could be better if they would have some material for the 3rd week too (Matt is going to have live webinar for 4 times in total, once per week). If you are brand new in coding then yes that is a good way to start. Also the slack-chat environment has a really nice, helpful and friendly atmosphere. BUT for someone who has a tiny little bit of coding experience I wont recommend this course. you should look for more challenging homeworks and syllabus. They are at the starting point though, so most probably they are going to improve themselves a lot.
SheCodes was the perfect way for me to start learning how to code! The structure of the course is really good - with live classes and several tutorials, challenges and homework to work on during the following week. Matt is also super clear during the classes which are so well prepared too. I highly recommend this course for who, as me before, wanted to give a first step into coding. The live workshops and the homework in between was a perfect combination and gave me the time to study even additional information. I would highly recommend the coding workshops at SheCodes.
Matt is a great instructor. He presented all of the information in a way that was easy to understand. I feel that the material was structured very well with a good balance of live classes along with the convenience of learning at our own pace at home. I enjoyed the whole experience - learning, the homework, the project...all of it! I will be looking for the SheCodes Plus availability that will fit my schedule soon.
I have never imagine I could be able to code and understand the web in 3 weeks. Homework were so fun to do and it was definitely worth it to come every Saturday from Porto to learn and to have this unique experience of learning from the Matt and his team. What an energy!
SheCodes was life-changing for me. It gave me the foundation and confidence I needed in order to continue my coding journey by myself. Not only when it comes to CSS HTML and JS, but also design concepts and even tools to use. The classes, homework and amazing network opportunities made it 100% worthwhile. I'm glad I took the leap out of my comfort zone, because it absolutely paid off. Thanks a lot to everyone involved for a great project.
