I learned loads about JavaScript, GitHub and APIs in this course. I like that it was self paced and found the homework and final project really fun.

I really like how detailed and easy to follow the videos were. It made it easy to go back and watch as many times needed to complete the homework. I would definitely recommended for anyone wanting to see if they will enjoy joining the IT world or want to know where to start!

It's an enjoyable learning experience with SheCodes workshops as I'm able to demonstrate the techniques and skills learnt through challenges, homework and projects. Matt's explanation is always clear and easy-to-follow and this is critical to tackle the coding problems and gain confidence.

I am an emerging developer and SheCodes has really helped me to come forward and grow faster in the FrontEnd direction. I really like the challanges after almost every video and the homework, it helps you to brainstorm. I highly recommend this to anyone whos fairly new to the world of coding and would like to grow in this direction. I really hope that soon SheCodes could also start courses in backend direction for languages like Java or Python.. :)

SheCodes is a well-structured, concise and an easy-to-follow coding workshop. I enjoyed the exercises within each workshop and the homework project where you can create with what you've learned so far, and see the results for yourself 😊. SheCodes (Matt) makes coding fun 😄! Matt's approach makes you think, it makes you get creative, it makes you curious to learn more. His style of teaching isn't a strict "this is the only way" or "because I say so", rather he makes you wonder and explore and find solutions 🤓. I found the resources provided to aide us in the learning/creating, like the css color palattes, gradients, slack chat, etc. really helpful. I especially enjoyed the curated SheCodes Radio 📻🎶 I look forward to levelling up 🤩! Here we go 🙌🏽 !!

I've wanted to learn more about coding and while I was on maternity leave, I saw an AD for the 60 min Free Coding Class. I decided to sign up and it was informative and peaked my interest in wanting me to learn more. I signed up for SheCodes Basics and found the challenges and homework to be fun. I am now back to working full time but I still want to learn more and signed up for the SheCodes Pro class. I'm excited to go through the program and explore if this could be a career change opportunity.

I had a blast. The lessons were short and to the point, the homework assigned was just the right amount of tricky, they gave us all we needed while at the same time urging us to find out answers for ourselves and gave us the tools to do so. Cannot recommend enough.

It was really great learning the basic of coding and it was really interactive as we get to make our own HTML. I really enjoyed watching the videos and making all the small homeworks.

SheCodes basic was a great intro to the coding world! Matt's quick how-to videos have just the right amount of information followed by challenges that allow you to practice. I also liked that Matt leaves room for you to figure things out for yourself. You will have to think outside the box, use Google, to assist in figuring out the challenges and homework. I'm proud of my final project and impressed with the skills that I attained in such a short amount of time.

I liked the pace of this workshop although it took more time the first week then I expected and I got very overwhelmed but after I finished that homework the rest of it worked way better. I feel like I learned a lot

This was a great introductory course. The lessons were concise and allowed the user to review as needed. I especially appreciated the challenges, homework, and final project. This gave me a way to see my work in action.

Never have I ever sit down for 3 hours straight just to study or learn something. Well I guess now I know what I really love to do. Matt Delac is so good at explaining everything. He teach us one by one, and he even show the solution after we submit our homework. Such a great guy with a great team. When I'm stuck and need help, the team they help us straight away. Appreciate everyone's help. Highly recommend to anyone who want to start a new career. Ganbate!!

I already had quite a bit of experience in HTML and CSS, though I haven't used either in maybe a decade so this class was a fantastic review for me. It was also a great introduction to Javascript and I had a lot of fun working on lesson problems, homework, and especially the project!

It was a nice course! Very structured and it is very motivating as you have to submit the homework by the next week. It is explained really well. They have this really active community in Slack where you can ask questions if you need to. The certificate that proves that you completed the course is also an advantage. But I think the price is a bit high as there are other alternatives out there where you can learn this and more.

Loved the sense of being part of a community! Also really liked that we had homework and final project to hand-in as this made me commit to watching the videos every week.

For anyone who wants to start learning code, SheCodes workshop is very interesting .You will be challenged with different exercises, and everything is well explained, homework and deadlines are good for keep focus . you will earn a lot of experience. Good luck!

I learned a lot from the basic workshop I took. It seemed like a lot of information because I'm very new to coding, but it was interesting, easy to learn and the assignments/homework were fun to do. If you're on the fence about taking this course, just do it, it's a great way to find if coding is right for you. I'm looking forward to learning more in a more advanced workshop.

I loved SheCodes so much! Matt made it so easy to learn the basics of front-end development. The lessons are very short and digestible, but long enough to get all the necessary information needed to complete your challenges and homework. The project was SO fun and I found it very easy to apply what I've learned to create my page. I'll definitely be taking a more advanced course in the future.

The SheCodes Basics has taught me a lot in a very short time. I feel like this is a great starting point for my learning. The tasks and weekly homework helped me to stay motivated and gave me an opportunity to experiment with my new skills.

This has been by far the best virtual class I have taken. The structure of the classes, homework, slack channels etc. are really amazing. The only thing I would change about it is a few of the videos. I found only a small number of the videos a bit confusing and I would go back a few times to watch them again and again ... I thought they could be better edited and explained at times.

I really enjoyed the SheCodes basics workshop and will continue with the SheCodes Plus course! I wanted to learn to code for the longest time but none of the courses online appealed to me. Then I found SheCodes! I would highly recommend everybody that has interest in learning how to code to join the free coding class. The way the course is structured and explained (Matt is a GREAT teacher!!) is what convinced me, during the week you have exercises to do and you end the week with homework you have to send in. You learn by doing it yourself but you have a wonderful team and community to help you if when you are stuck! I also think that SheCodes have a great mission as a company, inspiring more women to enter the Tech industry!

SheCodes Basic was perfect for an absolute beginner. The lessons were very well structured with the explanation, homework, and then solution. If a question needed answering, the Slack channel contained all previous questions asked/answered and also allowed for help from others.

SheCodes courses are just perfect kick off for people who want to start with coding from the beginning. I really appreciate challenges and homework with deadlines because this system keeps me in the process of learning, which is IMO extremely important.

I'm very glad I took this course, it was more user-friendly than I had expected and I am impressed with the challenges, homework, and final product. The course was easy to fit into my hectic and busy schedule and I was not sure I'd be able to finish, but the bite-sized lessons really made it manageable! I also liked how the deadlines kept me going, that was definitely necessary :). I would be interested in taking more advanced courses!

I have had a lot of fun coding with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript through this introductory workshop of SheCodes. I have learned not only about coding, but I also had the chance to play with visualization for my homework as well as my final project. Matt's instruction is quite easy to understand and follow up. If I’m being honest, you can definitely find similar courses online at a fraction of the cost, you can even find good courses for free. What sets shecodes apart is the added homework projects. They will motivate you to code everyday because there are real deadlines to work to. Also having a community of likeminded women to collaborate with and learn from is encouraging. To conclude this course will get you from knowing nothing to actually coding a working albeit basic website.

Good intro to web development. Structure of the course works well with challenges and homework.

I have always been interested in learning to code, however I never thought it was something I could do because I don't have a masters in computer science. Taking the SheCodes course has helped me learn and understand the basics of coding. I was scrolling through Instagram one day, and came across SheCodes 1 hour intro to coding, as soon as I finished the free intro I signed up for the basics course just to see if I would like it. Half way through the basics course, I decided I wanted to learn more, so I signed up for the plus course. It's really nice having the SheCodes slack community to help when you get stuck, or frustrated. It also helped keep me motivated. I love that there are deadlines, and homework, because it helps me set a schedule for myself. Rather than it being at your own pace, because then I'd never get around to actually doing it.

Just a few short weeks ago, the thought of having to code an entire webpage seemed incredibly daunting. Thanks to Matt and the SheCodes team, I see now that it is completely possible! The lesson videos are very comprehensible, and the challenges and homework assignments helped keep me on track throughout the course. I truly loved this workshop! I started this workshop because I've always been curious about coding and wanted to learn something new. After completing the 3 week intro workshop I can honestly say I was genuinely impressed. The lessons were clear and easy to understand. The challenge assignments and homework were carefully crafted to optimize learning and foster critical thinking skills. Additionally, help was constantly available via the Slack platform and the SheCodes team responded to questions quickly. This course does take time to complete, but it is entirely possible to complete it with a full time work load (for reference I am a full time grad student and work part-time). I can't wait to sign up for the next workshop and continue to learn with SheCodes!

I am currently within the HR career path. However, I have always been curious about coding. I heard about SheCodes last year, and I decided 2022 was going to be my year to EMBARK on this coding journey. The main aspect I was interested in with coding was web design. 👩🏽‍💻I enjoyed learning HTML, CSS, and JS. I did not expect to learn as much as I did in this coding basics class. All the lessons are ordered in a way for easy learning and comprehension. Matt is an amazing teacher. With each homework assignment and project, you get to test your knowledge! I was hesitant to learn this on my own- however with the support of the SheCodes squad/other learners, I felt empowered that if I didn't understand- I could reach out on the real-time Slack chat. My final project reflects my love for baking! I tried to make it simple yet modern. There are still some concepts I would love to learn in order to implement for further development of my web design skills! I'm not sure what the future is for my coding journey as of now. I came into this workshop not knowing anything about coding and I will admit I was super nervous that I wouldn't understand enough for the final project. Even after finishing the first two homework assignments I was worried I wouldn't finish my project in time. If this happens to you please keep going! Once I started working on the final project I realized that I retained way more information than I thought and I cant wait to start the next workshop!

SheCodes Basics was a great beginners course! I had some prior HTML/CSS knowledge from my MySpace days, but the instructor, Matt, did a great job going a little deeper into each topic. Javascript was brand new to me, so Week 2 was a little trickier but rewarding. Matt did a good job providing a clear overview of JavaScript basics. I loved all the exercises after each lesson, and I thought the weekly homework was an awesome way to put what I learned into practice. Overall, the course was appropriately challenging and fun!

This is one of the best online workshops I've done. The lessons are thorough and the challenges/homework are incredibly thoughtful. The course teaches you basics as it promises. But, even more valuable, it teaches you logic and how to solve problems. I thoroughly enjoyed the course!

As someone who knew 0% on how to code, there were plenty of TikTok videos that stated coding as a fun, new career path. BUT it wasn't until I saw & attended a free SheCodes coding class that I was convinced coding can be fun, AND can be my new career path! Having completed the SheCodes Basics Workshop, I can confidently say I didn't feel alone in the learning progress whatsoever; fellow classmates from around the world along with reliable tech assistants who offered help in any challenge, or homework I was stuck on. Also the teaching materials were clear to understand, which is why I highly recommend beginners with zero skills in coding to take the SheCodes Basics Workshop! Now that I've built my first project, I'm excited to know what's in store for SheCodes Plus🤩

I started this workshop with no background at all. It's amazing how much I learned in just three weeks. From week to week I got so much better. As a language teacher I know that learning a language requires lots of practice. I got to practice a lot in this workshop thanks to all the homework and the help from the team who's always available and responds so quickly. Lectures are well-organized and easy to follow. Every problem I had in homework, challenges and my own project can be solved with the help of the lectures. The operation interface is simple and clear. This system is able to motivate me to learn and fall in love with coding.

Although the tasks are challenging, the tutorials are very easy to follow and it gave me a lot of satisfaction completing the weekly homework. Learning about the API answered many things I've been curious about, seeing other websites and blogs that use existing data. I now feel confident in my coding skills !

In such a short period of time (in 3 weeks) I was able to learn the basics of coding and was able to build a short website by myself! When I was stuck in homework and challenges, there are always people around to support and help me out. I love working in this supportive and helpful environment and definitely recommend people who are trying to pick up a new skill or know nothing about coding to try it out!

The advanced workshop was definitely challenging but I have thoroughly enjoyed it. I have learnt a lot, it made me do a lot more research based on the design I wanted and the support was phenomenal! The weekly modules were very easy to follow, the homework really made you think. There was a a great balance between technical and creative aspects! Having a look back at my final project, I am so proud and I can't believe I have created that! :)

This has been amazing! I had previously tried to learn some programming languages but most information didn't stick. Throughout this workshop, I gained more confidence while having fun with the tasks. The course is very well-structured with tutorials that are very easy to understand, followed by homework that helps solidify this theory and put it into practice. By the end of it, I feel like I've acquired useful new skills that I can't wait to improve on.

I am sure that I am not the first nor the last person who asked themselves at some point of their life "Is it too late to learn how to code?". SheCodes and their courses answered this question for me and the answer is.. Definitely not too late! :) I have learned a lot in this course in a very easy and playful way. I took this course as a challenge and had doubts in the first 2-3 days. But I have to say the teaching/tutorials and the deadlines with the homework push you to deliver the best. Had an awesome experience in learning and would love to take the next course soon as now I want to know it all!!!

In this course I learned so much. It was 8 great weeks learning a lot of things and now I'm feeling so accomplished because I built my own app. I strongly recommend investing in a SheCodes course, because the content is very nice and organized plus there's a weekly basis homework, so you can stay motivated by keeping on track your progress.

I thought this might be difficult but the video and homework assigned makes it easy to learn and understand the concept on various aspect of HTML/CSS/JavaScript. By the way, JavaScript is lots of fun.

Great entry-level course! I found the course informative and pretty easy to follow along. The assignments were very manageable and allowed me to practice skills. The slack channel made it easy to resolve any issues. I found this course to be a useful introduction to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I think that some of my coding experience in other languages/programs aided my understanding throughout this course. The self-guided structure of the course was great for my schedule and allowed me to complete the workshops when I was available that week. I wish there was feedback on homeworks and projects. There were examples of a solution that was available after you submitted your assignment, but I think it would be useful to have more specific feedback as well. Overall, I would recommend this course!

SheCodes is a great platform to challenge and develop your skills. As a beginner I found the structure of the workshop very clever and comprehensible.
