This is a great course to get myself familiar with HTML and CSS fundamentals and boosted my knowledge in knowing the syntax that is used in HTML5 these days since I learnt the likes of XHTML during my Uni course and learning JavaScript through the workshop really boosted my understanding so working by handcoding or with Content Management Systems such as Wordpress would be a blessing so I can debug some code that was not working, etc. It is a great way the fundamentals to help you find suitable work with these skills and knowledge.

SheCodes basics was a freshening reminder of the little coding knowledge I had. The way Matt explains things so directly and understandably, with technical but also, very understandable and non-technical explanations, just eased this right in for me. I had a bit of a harder time because of the little time I had to work on this, but as the course progressed, my passion for each challenge and homework increased, until I decided to be creative and have fun with my project as well. It was a challenge, trying to figure out how to exactly turn my idea to life, and I was able to! :) The help of all the tutors, the guide of Matt, and the realization that this is something I want to do from now on led me here, and I wouldn't change it for a thing. I signed up to SheCodes so that I could expand my knowledge on a brand new skill to me. Recently, I have realised that I was no longer learning anything new within my retail job so I decided to take on the challenge of coding and so far I am really enjoying it! I was skeptical as to whether I would understand anything but so far, I am impressed with how much I have learnt. Thanks to the in depth lessons provided by Matt, I have made a silly, but functioning page which I am pretty pleased about.

Fun way to learn javascript and APIs

I really enjoyed being able to create a functional weather application with SheCodes Plus! There were a lot of points where I felt we only hit surface level, especially with JavaScript. I found myself having to research a lot of concepts on my own. I feel like my understanding of functions, parameters, objects, and arrays are still elementary, but perhaps this is all part of the learning process. Start with small bites and dig deeper as we go and learning to help yourself. I played around with using the old API and the new one provided by SheCodes and feel like I have a good grasp on API integrations though. All in all this was a good beginner course and maybe I just need to review the course again.
The SheCodes Basics Workshops were overall a great experience for me as they gave me both the great foundation of learning HTML, JavaScript, and CSS that was fun to learn and easy to follow (Matt is a great instructor!) and getting more excited and interested in the world of coding! I recommend this course to anyone!

I loved continuing my learning journey with the Responsive workshop. Responsive is not an easy topic, but I feel like I now understand the basics of it and I'm ready to dive even deeper. The final project is a portfolio, which was a lot of fun to build and is going to be very helpful in my professional future.

My experience with the SheCodes Workshops has been amazing! I love that we get to work on real world projects and build a portfolio. I have had so much fun coding the weather app and getting to be creative with the styling and the different tools we've learned.

I really enjoyed SheCodes Basics. In college, I had taken a coding class as part of my program-and while I enjoyed coding- my focus was elsewhere, so I never took the time to fully learn beyond what was required. Matt and SheCodes has helped me re-learn the basics, reignited my interest in coding, and was clear and fun in the process.

Initially, I found it to be a little difficult, but I was happy to notice that we were working on the main project the entire time and learning it bit by bit. It became a welcome and engaging challenge for me. I had so much fun and feel like I learned so much!!

I came back to this extra project after finishing SheCodes Plus, half as a refresher and the other half to complete an extra project. And I'm glad I did, because I learn a number of new tips and tricks in the extra project I would have otherwise had to struggle with. So glad I signed up for the Max package to be able to do these extra fun projects!
This course was super beneficial. I love how it went straight to the point and did not leave me in the tutorial loop hole. So glad I came out with a project under my belt, one that was so fun to do as well

It was fun but it was difficult too! It was difficult to decide what I want to have on my site bcs I want it to look different. I`m not a designer. I spend a lot of time changing the style of my site. And the most difficult part was - to stop improving it! It was very-very difficult. But thank you for the lessons.
As all previous workshops, SheCodes React was super interesting and full of valuable information! I learned a lot of things that will surely aid me to start a career as a front-end web developer. New concepts are introduced in small portions to make them easy to understand and practice with the daily challenges. And even though there are deadlines to lean on, if your life really gets too busy (like mine did), you can always come back later and continue/ finish the course when you have the time. The tech support will still be there for you as well. All in all, I would highly recommend this course to anyone who would like to learn about React JS or just continue their coding journey. I had a lot of fun and I'm sure, so will you. π

I am a stay at home mom and I was scrolling tik tok one night when I came across a video for She Codes. I am not computer or tech savvy at all. However I found it interesting and decided to watch the free 60 minute coding session. After that I started the She Codes Basic and I LOVED IT!!! The whole set up was great. I loved the short videos they were so easy to follow, and challenges were so fun. I am excited to start another workshop!!!
