My coding journey so far has been eventful, intriguing, and above all a well of knowledge. With Shecodes plus, I now understand how javascript functions work. In most of the lessons, I hear Matt say 'this may be difficult for you to understand at this stage, but it is all fine', and with this assurance, I look forward to the lesson and always remind myself that it is fine, even though I may be finding it difficult to comprehend. I am particularly fascinated with the fact that I built the weather app with real-time data that actually works. Thank you SheCodes for this lifetime opportunity.
Working on this weather app has been so much fun! After doing the Basic course, I am once again mind blown of how much fun coding is. It was a great challenge, but still manageable to solve. Exited for the next project!
I've always wanted to formally learn coding because my career has required me to edit it for various reasons (websites, newsletters, widgets, etc). I was getting by with limited knowledge, hunches, and the mundane cycle of trial and error. I thought taking a course would be too hard, especially while I work. I was so wrong. Coding is fun and the knowledge I gained will serve me in my current and future roles! If you're on the fenceβdo it scared!

Never thought I would have made it this far, from SheCodes basic workshop, to SheCodes Plus, and now SheCodes React. Lots of challenges and tons of fun as well. I am really thrilled that I learnt something totally different from what I studied back in the university, and I feel a great sense of accomplishment. Can't wait to start my next workshop!!
It's always fun logging in to learn new things, especially with how easy the lessons are made. I really liked the way the homework is reviewed at the end and would recommend it to anyone who would like to take a comfortable first step in tech.
I am a mom of 2 very young children who doesn't have much time to learn, and consider myself a slow learner. I was hesitant to start at first, however I found Matt's way of teaching was so easy to understand as he really guide me step by step. I also love how Matt encourages us to look for answers in Google and it was quite easy to find solutions in Slack. Shecodes team had been very friendly and gave a fast response to my enquiries. I've never thought learning how to code can be this fun! Thank you Matt and team! What I love most about this course is it's toughtfulness in arranging the packages from Basic to Max, so I can test the water to know whether or not I'll learn further about coding. Very well done!
I must admit that I wasn't expecting this to be quite this fun. I joined for practical reasons: I am an artist and I need to be able to create and curate my own page independently so that's why I initially joined. Now I am already feeling very comfortable with coding and it's only been a few days! Matt is a very very clear teacher and the extra resources and extra readings only enrich my knowledge. I must however add that I do have some previous experience with coding-like languages given that I now have 4 years of experience writing in LateX and some university experience with instructing a 3D printer and other lab equipment. I would advise a complete beginner to take it easy. Still! Couldn't have been smoother.
This Add-on workshop was loads of fun. I learned some amazing skills in javascript that I can apply to some more complex future projects. It was the right amount of challenging and fun. Looking forward to the responsive workshop next!

My experience with She Codes was amazing! I highly recommend SheCodes to begin a journey in Coding! We had the chance to learn HTML, CSS, Javascript, and React, all valuable tools for the future. I absolutely loved this workshop! Although I already had some experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, Matt really helped me to fully understand the fundamentals by thoroughly explaining each concept which gave me the confidence to be able to write my own code without having to use google as much as I use to. The videos and challenges are also easy to follow along with and keep you engaged until the next topic. I'm excited to continue learning through SheCodes!

This workshop was extremely challenging and I loved because of it. Matt teaches like I wish I had this kind of teacher back in high school or uni. I have always been interested in programming, but didn't know where to start until I found SheCodes and was willing to give it a try. It is as fun as I thought and motivated me to keep learning.
This was so much fun! I plan on teaching these basics to my son. Everyone should have these basic skills.
This was my second SheCodes workshop, and it was undoubtedly more challenging. It was frustrating and FUN! Coding is a great problem-solving exercise. The best part is figuring things out and knowing that your solution is one of the many correct ones. I would give the workshop a 5/5, but some lessons needed to address the challenges adequately. It would have helped to provide resources on those aspects in the notes and not just suddenly reveal them in the challenge solution. Overall, SheCodes Plus is worth it. Thank you to everyone at SheCodes for an enriching experience.

I had such fun time learning and doing the projects. Gradually I realized although coding is a bit challangeable, is not impossible and the way it is taught throughout the course just made me motivated enough wanting to dive in coding and keeping on learning more and actually having fun doing so. Even getting stuck has its benefits, you'll always learn something. I highly recommend SheCodes!
SheCodes Plus was a fantastic workshop. Before signing up to SheCodes I had never done any coding or programming in my life or thought I'd be interested in it, but after SheCodes Basics and SheCodes Plus I'm finding I actually love programming and learning about code. It was really fun and I finally learned how to do my websites responsive. SEO was also quite interesting and made everything that I learned logical.
I started off 2022 with learning the basics of coding, creating a simple landing page using simple HTML, CSS and JS. By the end of 2022, I can now say with confidence that I am super comfortable with coding, having created a weather app using React! Woohoo! I can't believe I finished SheCodes pro. This workshop was very informative and it was fun creating a weather application. I can't wait to use these techniques on future projects.
It was pretty complex as I've never worked with an API before, but I had fun gathering all the necessary data and putting it together in a neat-looking app. It's an excellent next step from the basics and I think it's great we get to learn how to work with GitHub and how to host the website.
It was not an easy workshop but definitely a fun one! Looking forward to learning even more about React in the future.

The course challenges could be tough, but because the lesson content was engaging and digestible, it helped to motivate me to keep pushing through until I got it right. I really enjoy learning with Matt! I thought I wouldn't be able to code, but surprisingly in a few hours, I was already doing it and learning a lot :) The exercises are fun, and the method of learning and putting it right away into practice makes all the difference because I got motivated to continue. I loved every second of this course! Seeing I actually have built a fully functional website by the end of this course, is such a great feeling. Everything is explained very well and I went through each lesson easily. I also used SheCodes weather API and it is much easier to work with.
Easy to follow along instructions that built week on week. It's so fun to to see the result of your work come together in a website you've built from scratch at the end. I feel so much more knowledgeable about coding in just 3 weeks and I hope to move on to the Plus course soon.

SheCodes Basics was very helpful for someone like me who is totally new in the IT or coding industry. The instructions in each video by Matt were very clear and precise. The basic fundamentals that he taught us in each video were easy to follow and replicate in exercises. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested to learn more coding.

I enjoyed this course very much, for someone new to coding, this workshop was fairly easy to follow. Each task allowed me to practice and advance my coding skills; the instructor did an amazing job explaining the content in a short but comprehensive way. Specifically, creating the weather app for the final project was a really fun challenge.
I enjoyed doing the course, however, I didn't learn much. Before this course, I followed another one which was free and lasted one week. It was just a promotional course by a coding Bootcamp to show what kind of things they did in the school. I learned much more that week (and I haven't even finished it) than doing this structured and paid course. Many fundamental aspects are not explained, while some simple things are repeated multiple times. Moreover, the exercises weren't really challenging. I guess it's an okay start if you have zero experience, but the price is still too high for what they teach you. Nonetheless, I have to say that when I asked a question on the chat they answered very rapidly, so great work in that sense.
I really enjoyed learning with sheCodes, Matt is an excellent instructor he made this fun and not-complicated. The shecodes team are so supportive and friendly. I am excited to continue my coding journey.

Believe it or not, I was skeptical (at first). I did not envision this introductory coding workshop to be THIS fun! I really enjoyed it from beginning to end! 10/10! π Not only did they reinforce what were taught during the lessons, the weekly challenges and final project allowed for creativity, and actually motivated me to enjoy the coding experience even more! Slack was amazing as well! As someone with limited coding skills, these hands-on lessons gave me the confidence, now, coding in HTML/CSS/JavaScript and not scare me away!
